For Birth Control "Just started, so what I'm experiencing may change after some time (I hope), but I began bleeding the next day of taking Sprintec, and I'm still bleeding now. Ok, fine, maybe because it's new, but I'm also nauseous EVERY DAY right after I eat or drink ANYTHING (it's helping me lose weight because I can't keep much down). Also, now I have acne like I've never had acne. I'm easily depressed, then I'm super happy, like it's confusing. This is not cool, but like I said, it is still new for me, so I'm going to give it time. My GYN says after 3 months it should be better."

For Birth Control "I have been on various birth control pills for about 9 years, and Sprintec has been a good option for me. I take pill packs back-to-back so that I only get my period 4 times per year, and it's been great - however, this does cause me to leak sometimes if I'm even 2 hours late taking my pill. Consistency is key. I will say I still experience some bad acne at times, and I always get headaches when I do get my periods now, but overall this pill has been just fine for me."

For Birth Control "I first got put on birth control in 2012 due to ovarian cysts. I tried 5 types in the past that didn't work for me. They either made me depressed, induced anxiety, headaches, acne, etc. I was on Aviane for roughly a year, it had the least amount of side effects, but I stopped in 2014 because of weight gain and anxiety. Now, 3 years later, I'm trying Sprintec to avoid getting pregnant. This is my first week, and so far so good. None of the side effects I had with the others. The first few days I was really nauseous, had a headache the 1st day, and I still don't have a strong appetite. I've actually lost 5 pounds, so I don't mind though. And my boobs look great. :) Will update more when I continue with this pill for longer."

For Birth Control "Honestly hated this. I wasn’t on it for long enough to really get an idea of how this pill was because the side effects were so bad that I couldn’t take it anymore. It gave me bad acne (which I never get), I was bloated all day, every day and gained 11 pounds in about two weeks, got awful mood swings, and had a really low sex drive. The only reason I’m giving this pill two points is one for preventing pregnancy and one for not causing spotting, which some pills cause. It took me about two months after going off the pill to lose the weight. I switched to a low dose pill and liked it way more. My boobs also went up a size or two and were painful, but that is expected with the pill. Would recommend this pill to no one though as I had really extreme side effects."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Sprintec for 7 months. It’s not perfect, but I’ve had a fairly positive experience with it compared to other BC pills, which caused severe mood swings, depression, and constant nausea. I have gained weight on this pill, which isn’t great (my diet hasn’t changed and exercise has increased). My acne-prone skin has been doing great, however, and is clear. I always get one minor breakout the week before placebo/withdrawal bleeding. I also experience nausea and minor mood swings in the 2-3 days leading up to my withdrawal bleed. These side effects have all been very consistent and predictable for me, which I haven’t found on any other pill. So aside from the stubborn weight, I’m happy with this BC."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Sprintec for over 3 years now for severe bleeding and pain during menstruation. Sprintec has helped lessen the bleeding and pain during menstruation, however, the buildup of this drug in my body has slowly caused so many side effects, which have severely hindered my quality of life. The following are side effects that I have experienced while on Sprintec: 1. Daily nausea 2. Worsening of chronic migraines and daily headaches 3. Severe dizziness/light-headedness 4. Visual changes (blurred vision) 5. Acne so bad that I had to be treated for infections of my hair follicles 6. Worsened depression. Again, these severe side effects took years to occur."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill for almost 5 months now. This was my first birth control to take ever of any kind, and I haven’t had problems with it. I always know when my period is going to happen, and they are only 5 days a week now instead of being a full week long. My cramps aren’t as bad, and I don’t have acne, and I don’t spot in between periods at all. I can’t compare to another birth control because this is the only one I’ve been on, but I have nothing to complain about."

For Birth Control "Overall, I liked this pill. The positives outweighed the negatives for me. Initially, I took it to change my cycle due to a vacation I was going on. I decided to stay on it for another 4 months as birth control. The positives: regular period, no weight gain, no breakthrough bleeding, no more cramping, no co-pay, and NO babies! The negatives: mood swings, leg cramps, occasional cystic acne (a week before and during placebo week), remembering to take it every day, and breast tenderness. Eventually, I got tired of remembering to take a pill every day, so I switched to the Nexplanon arm implant, which has been great so far. If the pill doesn't work out for you, there are other good options!"

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Sprintec in March. After I had COVID-19 in January, my period stopped coming. I went to my OB, and he started me on Sprintec to try to regulate my cycles. I have never been regular prior to getting on Sprintec. I haven’t experienced any weight gain/loss, acne, or mood swings. Overall, this medication just does what it was meant to do for me, and that’s it, nothing more or less."

For Birth Control "I'm starting my sixth month on Sprintec. The first month, I had a decreased sex drive, and my acne basically disappeared. From then on, my sex drive has increased dramatically, and the only time I might break out is the week of my period, which lasts for about three days. I didn't gain weight, get bigger breasts, nor have yeast infections or urinary tract infections. For me, this pill is amazing, though every woman reacts differently to different birth controls. I love this."

For Birth Control "I was on Mononessa until the pharmacy changed their preferred generic to Sprintec. I never have acne, and within days of taking the first pill, I started breaking out. My period started 4-5 days before it was supposed to, and I ended up having 10-11 day periods. On the previous pill, I wasn't only having 5-6 day periods. This is the worst birth control experience I have ever had. I tried it for 3 months (mail order pharmacy sent 3 months' worth), hoping it was just the first month, but instead, I had 3 months of the longest periods of my life."

For Birth Control "I'm 16 and have been on this birth control for about a year and a few months now. The first few months, I had weird brown discharge, and I was really moody, my boobs were really sore, and they grew. I've gained about 15 pounds since being on birth control. I was put on it for regulating my period, but I have had my first boyfriend and I have been sexually active. My acne wasn't bad to begin with, but now it's starting to act up. I still get moody, and sometimes my periods come three days late (it's exactly three days every time), but it ends up coming, which worried me before. But it does its job in regulating and preventing pregnancy."

For Birth Control "I was put on this Sprintec after I started spotting on my old pill. Everything was fine for the first few months, but then I started to notice I had terrible mood swings and I was depressed. I was starting to break out also, which is extremely rare for me. Lots of random spotting and bleeding during sex. Definitely not worth it, and I wish I never did this to myself with this pill."

For Endometriosis "I've only been on Sprintec for a couple of months, but I noticed my depression has gotten worse. I'm tired all the time, dizzy, and just want to cry. I got a yeast infection, and my acne isn't clearing up. As far as my endometriosis, I can't tell if it has gotten any better."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on the Sprintec pill for 3 years now. I was suffering from horrible cystic acne and tiny whitehead-like bumps all around my chin. My doctor prescribed me Sprintec for my acne spots. I remember in the beginning I was a mess. I broke out even more and had the craziest mood swings mixed with depression. I stuck through it, though, and eventually my acne and mood swings subsided... however, one week before my period I have an occasional breakout and mood swings. But once my period starts, I feel “normal” again. My periods have become a lot shorter also. It took a while, but Sprintec works for me."

For Birth Control "I started taking Sprintec at the very beginning of July. They switched me because they quit making my other birth control, and Sprintec was cheaper. The 1st month period was regular like before, and the 2nd month was absolutely horrid. I had a regular period when I was supposed to, then a week later started again-very light flow, dark, it lasted for 2 weeks, but no cramping. Went to the doctor, they said this was perfectly normal. A week went past, no bleeding, then started spotting again, this lasted for 3 days. I feel like I have a loss of appetite, and acne was absolutely horrible, and I never had acne before. My periods before this Sprintec lasted 3 days tops and no cramping-started period every 28 days. Haven't had a yeast infection."

For Birth Control "I'm on my 2nd pack of Sprintec, and the biggest side effect I have gotten is bad acne around my jawline and chin, cystic acne. I've had to use Proactiv so it wouldn't get worse. More headaches and body pain. My period was a little heavier and more painful than when I was on Minastrin 24. My period came 2 days earlier than before. I'm not sure about weight gain yet, but Minastrin was terrible, I gained about 15 pounds."

For Birth Control "Was put on Sprintec after Ortho Tri-Cyclen (and the other effective generics of it) was discontinued. My hormonal cystic acne came back, I gained some weight, and I felt generally moody and anxious. The only positives were that it didn't give me yeast or dryness as my previous BC did. Gave it a solid 4-month trial but not worth the painful acne returning."

For Birth Control "I mean, I didn’t get pregnant thanks to this, but I had been debating getting off hormonal BC, and this made the decision VERY easy! I gained 10 pounds in a month (while exercising regularly and on a diet that I follow strictly), was insanely depressed and had awful mood swings, HORRIBLE nonstop acne breakouts for the whole month like I was a middle schooler again, and absolutely zero sex drive. For the love of god, STAY AWAY from Sprintec!"

For Birth Control "I switched from a generic form of Yaz to this pill last month after being on Yaz for about two years. This morning, I started my period, so it definitely works as advertised. For me, this pill is a lot better than the one I was on before. I have a lot fewer mood swings (they're still there, but not nearly as many), less acne, and my boobs have gone up almost another cup. My only dislikes are how gassy this pill makes me and how much hungrier I am, however, I'll take those things over nausea and occasional actual illness. I have put on a little bit of weight, but it wasn't much, and now that I'm aware of how hungry this pill makes me, I'm keeping healthier snacks on hand. I'm a fan of this pill, but it's also interacting fairly mildly with me."

For Birth Control "So I've been on other birth control pills before, but this one definitely has some side effects I didn't experience before. I've become more moody, losing weight (which for me isn't a plus because I'm trying to gain weight, lol), and has my face breaking out. It's only been 2 weeks, so I'm going to see how this works for the next month or so just to see if there will be any changes. But just keep in mind EVERYONE'S BODY TAKES THINGS DIFFERENTLY. So yes, some of these reviews are good, but you won't know unless you personally try."

For Birth Control "Was on this birth control for two months. I gained weight, about 6 lb. I had hoped for my acne to clear up, which didn’t. Only got worse. The main reason I stopped taking it was due to the mood swings. I was constantly tired, couldn’t focus, and just didn’t feel like myself whatsoever. I couldn’t take another month of it. My anxiety was beyond, and I found myself sobbing for no reason."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started this per my doctor because of breakthrough bleeding in between periods. I have just decided to stop after a month. I have had nothing but horrible side effects. I developed acne-like spots on the inner labia (thankfully that went away), vaginal dryness/irritation, increase of anxiety, lethargy, uncontrollable gas, increased appetite, and low sex drive. The only good thing is that my adult facial acne has been nonexistent. All in all, it has been a horrible experience."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this medication for 3 weeks, and I’m not totally sold on it. Early pros: I don’t feel as anxious. Early cons: severe nausea, headaches, diarrhea, increased acne, tender breasts. I’ve tried almost every birth control on the market; this certainly isn’t the worst, but it’s still not a winner. I can’t wait till they come out with a birth control for men."
