For Birth Control "This completely broke me out in fluid-filled hives all over my neck, chest, shoulders, back, etc. I assume I am allergic to one of the hormones in it. As soon as I stopped taking it, the acne and hives went away. As for a time frame, I took it for 3 days when the acne started. Stopped after a month. Took another month for the acne to completely go away. This could just be me because I tried the IUD next and was the 1% of women that it didn't work for - my body expelled it and wouldn't allow it to stay in place. However, I would not recommend this pill to a friend."

For Birth Control "I was just diagnosed with endometriosis due to unexplained abdominal pain for months. My OB/GYN recommended a BC to see if symptoms subside. After not being on BC for close to 10 years, Taytulla is the first one I've tried. I'm a week in and have been noticing nothing but horrible side effects. I get a migraine every single day after eating, usually about 6 hours into my day, extreme nausea, neck pain, and brain fog. I've also had an increase in acne. I'm trying to give it a chance, but if these symptoms continue, then I will be forced to stop it completely. Allergan (the company that makes it) is a very reputable company, and I'd like to see this help women, but I think it's going to take a while to work out the kinks."

For Birth Control "I wanted to share a review since I was really nervous about going on this pill, especially after seeing all the horrible reviews. My doctor put me on Taytulla because I was borderline hemorrhaging with my periods, bleeding 8-16 oz/day on my heaviest 2 days. I am just starting my 3rd month. Month 1 was awful, as I spotted almost every day because of the hormone change. Cramps have been the worst cramps I've ever had since I started. No breakouts though. Month 2 my period was so light. Bad cramps, but still no breakouts. Overall, I'm happy with how this has flipped my periods around, but hate the cramping. Give it a few month adjustment period before you listen to all the negativity. I will take the cramps because of all the other benefits."

For Birth Control "I have taken pills and NuvaRing in the past. I hadn't been on birth control for 3 years and was wanting to regulate my periods more, plus prevent pregnancy. I've been on Taytulla since October 2017, and it has worked with my body very well. The transition was easy. I did get a little breakout, but nothing major except for my chest and back. My boobs have been sore and growing, I'm a small B, so this was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I would recommend since it has worked for me thus far. Good luck!"

For Birth Control "This birth control made me severely depressed off the bat, but being my first go, I decided to wait it out. About 2 weeks in, I started bleeding and had awful cramps. Never had cramps before, and migraines started. I was crying and having panic attacks all the time and hated myself on it most of the time. Still, I tried to push through. But then, after bleeding for 3 weeks straight and beginning to get cystic acne on my face, I am quitting this pill. I know a lot of people that bled nonstop on this pill. I know everyone is different, but do not use this pill if you've never had BC before. Gonna be using Lo Loestrin. Hope it's better."

For Birth Control "For the first 2 weeks, it was the absolute worst. I couldn’t go to work because I was constantly vomiting, and I was seeing double and feeling lightheaded. After that, everything was normal. My period is 100% off track, and that’s the only thing I dislike about it. I’ve been taking it for 4 months now, and it still hasn’t caught up with the brown pills. For acne, I have mild acne, but my doctor said it would clear up my acne. However, I personally think it made it worse instead of clearing it up."

For Birth Control "This birth control has made my life a living hell, and I am hysterically crying as I write this. I had clear skin before this pill, and now I don’t even want to leave the house, my acne is so bad. My period lasts a month when it used to be bad at 8 days. My cramps have been even worse, to the point where I have to scream into my pillow. I gave it some time, but it’s tearing down my mental sanity too quickly, so I cannot stay on it any longer."

For Birth Control "I've been on Taytulla for 3 years now and haven't really had any problems. I did feel occasionally moody, but I feel it makes a difference when you're normally eating and sleeping. I recommend you take it at the same time every day because changing the time around caused me to feel bloated or heavy. I don't suffer much from low moods, but when the pandemic hit and it got bad, it didn't do well for me. I hopped off it for a week and felt great, and bloating was gone. If you suffer from a deeper version of depression or low moods, I don't recommend it. I did not gain a dramatic amount of weight during that time. My acne was only bad when my period came, but not even that much, and my period was light and cramps were hardly felt! I have to change it now because my insurance doesn't cover it, so I will try the generic version, Gremmily - I'll let you know how it goes."

For Birth Control "My doctor suggested Taytulla to me when I told her that my mood swings were terrible on the birth control I was on. She switched me to this, and so far, so good! The Good: My mood has improved drastically, I hardly have cramps anymore, my periods are light and short. The Bad: Acne has magically appeared, but it isn't too bad (I've never had bad acne). I was nauseous and dizzy for the first month, but that has since gone away. I'm constantly craving sweet things, which is a pain (but who knows, maybe that's just me). So far, this is my favorite birth control that I've been on!"

For Birth Control "I like the fact that it was effective as birth control, and I had no period while I was on it. I also had terrible back acne. Immediately after starting Taytulla, it went away. There were a few bad side effects. I was waking up nearly every day with horrible headaches. I rarely wanted to have sex with my fiancé (like sex once a month, if that), and I was angry often. After a while, it dawned on me that maybe the lack of sex, headaches, and mood swings may be due to this pill. I wasn’t sure, but with the okay from my husband, I decided to stop taking it. Almost immediately after stopping, I noticed I stopped waking up with headaches, I had sex with my husband three times that week, and I felt happier. Long story short, if you’re single and just looking to cure acne or have lighter periods, then it might be for you. It didn’t have any awful side effects on me, such as blood clots, hair loss, weight gain, or suicidal thoughts. But it had enough negative effects to be irritating."

For Birth Control "I was put on Taytulla about 5 or 6 months ago after switching from less than 3 weeks on Kariva (which made me feel insane, depressed, and was having harmful thoughts). Taytulla was an easy switch! I felt like myself again, my skin cleared, I had absolutely no adverse reactions and no cramping. Without birth control pills, I am incredibly moody and suffer from PMDD, heavy flow, debilitating cramps, and irregular cycles. I loved Taytulla until 4 weeks ago, when my hair started falling, my skin was breaking out, and I was battling insomnia. Inactive pills come around and my period is the heaviest it’s ever been on birth control: just last month I had a single period day, and now I’m 3 days into another pack of Taytulla AND STILL BLEEDING!!! Calling my gyno today to switch. I’m on BC more for hormone regulation to control PMDD and severe cramping and irregularity than I am for actual birth control, and if it doesn’t do its job after a while, what’s the point?"

For Birth Control "I had been taking Taytulla for over a year and was doing okay on it. Then I was switched to the generic version, Gremmily. I have been taking it for about 3 months. I have never been so miserable. I have had horrible migraines, cystic acne on my chin, bloating, no sex drive, and the worst mood swings. I stopped taking it because I was barely able to get up in the morning without an awful migraine."

For Birth Control "I took this medication as my first birth control pill ever. When talking to my doctor, I told her that my two biggest concerns are weight gain and making my acne worse. I did end up gaining some weight on this pill, but not too much. It made my acne bad. I ended up stopping it after a month and a half because it was so bad."

For Birth Control "Horrible! I’ve been on this birth control for about 3 weeks now and for the last 5 days I’ve been experiencing excruciating cramps, spotting. It also made me break out, moody, and bloated. I'm calling my doctor today to switch me to something else ASAP. I was on another brand of birth control before this and never had one issue. This birth control is 100% NOT for me, nor was it good."

For Birth Control "Taytulla was an awful experience for me. I gained 10 pounds and was never able to get it off. Horrible and painful acne, it made me super depressed and tender breasts. Other than that, it did its job making my period shorter, but overall would NOT recommend."

For Birth Control "Taytulla wasn’t the right birth control for me. I was on it for two months before I had to stop because I couldn’t handle the side effects anymore. I never stopped being starving the entire time, regardless of how much I ate. This caused me to feel bloated and miserable all of the time. It caused awful acne that never heals and causes scarring every time I get even a small zit that still hasn’t stopped over a year and a half later. While on the birth control, I would have my period starting on day 7 of the pack, and it would last until I started a new pack. Birth controls are very individual, so it may work great for others. However, my gynecologist refused to take any of my symptoms seriously and yelled at me when I refused to continue taking it. So, I’m leaving a review so that if someone encounters the same issue as me, they’re able to validate their feelings and switch birth control methods if necessary."

For Birth Control "I love this birth control. I’m almost done with my first pack, and I’m loving it! I was worried about weight gain, mood swings, acne, etc. But truthfully, it’s been great! I do realize that my appetite has been through the roof. I’m always so hungry, kind of bad, but self-control, you know. Also, I did notice some small pimples on my face, but it’s only because I’m close to my cycle. But overall, it’s pretty amazing!"

For Birth Control "Took a while for my periods to become regular on Taytulla after having Paragard, but they finally did and were only 1-3 days, and some months none at all. I’m 31 and definitely hasn't helped my acne, which makes me frustrated, but to not have a period or have a light one is a win..."

For Birth Control "I have always been a positive and outgoing person, only had acne when my period came, and I was looking to get on birth control, so my doctor prescribed this. Now for the month that I’ve been on it, it’s been terrible. My acne is worse than when I was in high school and I have developed severe sadness and anxiety, which is miserable since I know I haven’t always been like that. I understand everybody is different, but me feeling constant sadness and anxiety so suddenly had me look into this and I read how I wasn’t the only one with a bad experience. On to the next pill."

For Birth Control "I only took this BC for 2 weeks before I started to notice its horrible side effects. I know it has to be this brand because I was on another brand, but my doctor gave me this one because it shortens periods, but it wasn't worth it. First, I have always had a small appetite, but suddenly I wanted to eat all the time. Second, I don't get acne, but my face broke out into cysts that scarred incredibly badly. After that, I stopped using it. It also gave me a yeast infection."

For Birth Control "This medicine has worked very well! I typically have horrible mood swings off medication, but since taking it, I have been kinder, nicer to others, less angry and aggressive, and others have remarked that I am like 'a different person.' My grades in school have gone up, and I care more about people and things. My periods have been better as well. I did gain a cup size in my boobs (no problem with that) but haven't noticed any issues with acne."

For Birth Control "Before I was on the Nexplanon implantation birth control for 8 months and honestly say that was the worst. I gained so much weight (over 20 lbs), mood swings and depression, and don't get me started on my pimples on my chin! After I got the guts to get it out of me, I told my doctor all my symptoms, and she recommended Taytulla, and so far, so good! I’m happier, and I haven’t had a period yet, and my skin is looking good. The only downside I gotta say is I feel a little nauseous every time I eat. But hopefully this birth control keeps up the good results, I might stick to it since it’s only been 2 weeks using this method!"

For Birth Control "I'm 19 and was on Taytulla for about 6 months. I've already switched pills 3 times and decided to wait this one out and see if the side effects would get better, and they didn't. The weight gain wasn't horrible, but my mood swings were ruining relationships with those around me. The number one reason why I hated this pill was the amount of acne it caused. I've always had a few zits here and there and some cystic on my chin. I broke out on my cheeks and forehead, and the scars are irreversible now. I didn't want to leave my house without makeup on. Don't recommend this to ANYONE."

For Birth Control "I know there are a lot of bad reviews on this birth control, but I wanted to share my mostly positive experience for those concerned. When I first started Taytulla, I got the worst cystic acne, worse than I have ever had in my life. This lasted for about 3 months while my body adjusted, but now my skin has cleared up and I barely have breakouts anymore. I also just have spotting now instead of the awful crippling cramps and excessive bleeding I used to have before. Sure, there are downsides, but no pill is perfect. I honestly enjoy this birth control and I hope others have good experiences as well."
