For Birth Control "I am going on month 3 of this. I have gained 15 lbs, I am moody and unstable/irrational. I honestly was about to go to a doctor to get put on depression medication until I saw these reviews, because I’ve been through my fair share of stuff, and I have never felt this way in my life. I have no interest in things, and I have zero energy. I’m a registered nurse and am relatively healthy, but I am truly struggling to stay on top of a proper diet and exercise on this medicine. It’s crazy I go from being so nauseated I can hardly eat to binge eating enough for a family of 4. I’ve also never in my life had boobs, my husband can’t believe how big they are, but it’s not even like he’s enjoying them because they’re so sore I want to cry even when our dogs bump or hit them. I haven’t had bad skin since college (poor diet, dorm living, sleeping with makeup), and guess what? My skin is worse than it’s ever been before. I only have 1 week left on this, and it cannot come soon enough."

For Birth Control "This is my first birth control pill and have been on it going on 3 months. Aside from the fact that it seems to be working well with lighter and shorter periods, there are some negatives. It gives me terrible lingering headaches, which sometimes turn into migraines. It also makes me very nauseous. I feel dizzy and squeezed at times. With this said, I take it in the evenings before I go to bed, so I'm not awake during the instant side effects. I realized I have also been a bit irritable, gained weight, and I have also been feeling very overwhelmed by things! With all of this said, maybe I will consider changing over. But each one has its new side effects, so maybe I'll stick it out."

For Menstrual Disorders "I have used this birth control for about 3 years on and off now for severe periods. I have no complaints. When actively taking my birth control, I have no signs of my period. No cramps, bloating, acne, nausea, cravings, bleeding, nothing. Glad I started on this, it's made my life better!"

For Birth Control "I've been on it for two months and five days, and it's worked great for making my period super light and lessened the pain of cramps. But I lost my appetite and hardly eat anything, I'm overly moody, I get nauseated really easily, breast tenderness that went away after a while. It's awesome for my periods, but I think this dosage is just too strong for a first timer on birth control."

For Birth Control "I switched to this birth control after 3 weeks of spotting on my previous one that was after I had been on it for a few months. I was on this birth control for about 5 days and ended up switching back to my old one! I had never felt more horrible than I did on this pill! I got no sleep due to my throbbing headache that was so bad I couldn't even move my eyes up or down without feeling like someone was hitting the back of my head with a hammer. The nausea was terrible as well! I felt dizzy and like I was going to faint on this pill. I ended up stopping as quickly as possible when driving became unsafe for me due to the side effects I experienced from this pill."

For Birth Control "I began taking birth control to help control my heavy bleeding and cramping. I was on a lower dose birth control, Norethindrone/Eth 24 Fe, for 8 months, and it was amazing until I started to have breakthrough bleeding. My ob-gyn switched me to this to stop the bleeding. I'm a Sunday starter, and the switch between the two was hard for my body and resulted in a full month of bleeding. The periods lightened and shortened with this pill, but I started getting a ton of side effects I never had before; such as nausea, headaches, constant aching during periods, bloating, weight gain around my stomach area, and constipation. The pill worked to prevent pregnancy (condoms) and in reducing flow, but with the added side effects, it wasn't worth it to stay."

For Birth Control "After years of trying different birth controls, I finally hit the jackpot with this one. I'm 32 years old, and I definitely went through my share of experiences with other birth controls, but this one has been the best one thus far. No side effects for me, no nausea, no mood swings, and loss of libido. Weight loss? I actually lost around 10 lbs the first couple of months I started this birth control, and a couple of people I knew who were taking the same medication told me they had the same response. Glad I finally found the right one for me."

For Birth Control "About two months ago, I had to switch from LoLestrin Fe to Microgestin due to my insurance and pharmacy. Since starting Microgestin, I've noticed insane bloating, nausea, and weird discharge. While on LoLestrin, my periods consisted of spotting and average side effects, nothing too serious, but after one month of Micro, I got my period and it was heavy, and the cramping was so painful I had to leave my class. I've also noticed I've developed bad depression and my mood swings are very intense. My anxiety is bad and my sex drive is very low, if not nonexistent anymore. It helped with my acne, but I'm a lot more paranoid about getting pregnant than I was on LoLestrin. I'm going to be talking to my doctor about possibly getting the shot."

For Birth Control "I was put on this birth control when Gildess was recalled. Gildess was perfect for me, so I hoped that the change wouldn't be as different, but I was wrong. Granted, this pill did a good job in preventing pregnancy, and there was no breakthrough bleeding. I experienced mood swings about a week into taking this pill and honestly did not recognize myself. I never understood depression caused by the pill because I never experienced it, but this pill literally made my life hell. I was so moody, crying at the smallest things, and my sex drive was gone. I also had no desire to eat because of the constant nausea and abdominal pain. Avoid this pill, the side effects are not worth it. Currently waiting to be switched to brand Loestrin Fe."

For Birth Control "Microgestin FE 1.5/30 is the first BC pill I have ever taken, and I've only been taking it for a month, but I could not be happier. I was worried to start taking birth control because of all the horror stories I've heard and all the possible side effects, but this one definitely works for me. I haven't experienced any side effects at all. No breakthrough bleeding, morning sickness, or noticeable weight gain."

For Birth Control "I was on Microgestin Fe 1/20 for three months prior to this, I switched because I was getting my period every two weeks. So I switched, and I'm so glad I did. Period is completely regulated again, like it was before I started birth control. No weight gain (actually weight loss), no mood swings, no change in libido. Worst parts of this were feeling nauseous for the first three days I was on it (nausea went away after), one pimple, and cramps the first day of my period. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons by miles, so I would recommend this to anyone!"

For Birth Control "I am currently on this pill and have been for the past 8 months. I'm not a huge fan, but it's done its job thus far, so I can't complain too much. If you get migraine headaches with aura, I wouldn't recommend this pill. I usually get 2 headaches a month now when before starting birth control, I could go just about 3-4 months without a migraine. I also have some slight nausea, dizziness, breast tenderness and swelling, and some fatigue (usually within the first week of starting back up on the pill). These symptoms have happened continuously throughout the 8 months on this pill and have not gotten any better (although doctors suggest your body will get used to the hormones within 3 months). These symptoms are not usually severe though."

For Menstrual Disorders "Took this for a week. Will never take this in my life again, it has messed up my stomach really bad. It gave me bad acid reflux, nausea, vomiting. I experienced vomiting every time I ate and drank the last two days. Today was my last day on it. I'm scared that I messed up my stomach for good. I wouldn't recommend it if you have a sensitive stomach."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill for about 5 months now. I started taking it to control my acne and, of course, prevent pregnancy! I didn’t experience any major side effects (nausea, headaches, weight gain, etc.), but my boyfriend and I have both noticed that I’ve been extremely moody since I started, and I have been more emotional. For the acne, I see no difference at all. It hasn’t made it worse, but it also hasn’t gotten better. It has helped my cramps, and my period is so light now, too! On the first week of the month, I’m usually ALWAYS hungry, but now I've learned to control it and just eat how I normally do and drink more water to ease my hunger. I’ve read a lot of reviews that women’s sex drives have decreased on this pill, but I think mine has definitely increased! I’m switching to a new pill because I’ve been struggling with acne for years now, and this wasn’t doing the job. I love this pill, just not as satisfied as I wish I could have been (acne-wise)."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed this because I initially tried Velivet or Previfem, I can't remember. Whatever pill it was caused me unbearable side effects and immediate weight gain. Microgestin gave me nausea and headaches when I first started taking it, but it went away after the second month. It helped my back acne (which was really stubborn), but it didn't do much for my face acne. After taking it for about a year, I didn't see the best results. I have cystic acne, so I'm going to give Tri-Previfem a second shot. My period got lighter, and it helped with my cramps, but my goal is to improve my skin since it seems to be hormonal. Good luck with finding the pill that suits you best!"

For Birth Control "When I took the first pack of Microgestin Fe 1.5/30, I was very nauseous, had tender breasts, and gained an extra 10 lbs, which was great since I used to weigh 95 lbs! I also had spotting and had heavy bleeding more towards the afternoon for over a month. I was a bit concerned, but after that, my periods have been light, cramps have been light as well, and I have a regular period! As for a year using it, I enjoy it! I may have a few times of the month with nausea, but I'm sure it's due to sometimes taking it too late later that day. I have some sad moments, which are 2x a month, so it's minimal. I'm still at the same weight that I gained. I rarely have those intense side effects it claims. Everybody is different though, but definitely give it six months to fully see how it works for you."

For Birth Control "I got put on Microgestin 1.5/30 to help minimize painful ovarian cysts that I have been experiencing. I usually hate birth control pills because I always experience miserable side effects. Microgestin minimized my ovarian cysts, and I'm no longer in pain. The one and only side effect I had was a yeast infection, but it could have just been a coincidence. I get slightly queasy, but it goes away quickly. I have not experienced moodiness, my face is super clear, no breakthrough bleeding, and no loss in sex drive or a dry vagina. Usually, birth control pills give me all of the negative side effects. I am 31 and have been on this pill for 2 months. So far, I give it a wonderful rating compared to other birth control pills I have tried."
