For Birth Control "I got prescribed this birth control in order to help regulate my period. I used to only get it about 2-3 times a year. I took this birth control for 2 months, where the first month it absolutely wrecked my allergies by causing them to intensify and worsened my depression as well. I had several incidences with my depression while on the placebo pills for the week of my period. I also experienced cramps the week before and of my period, as well as a super heavy period which I never had prior to being put on birth control, and where I bled through numerous tampons and clothes. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with depression or known allergies as it made both of mine worse while on it."

For Birth Control "This Larin Fe is the worst birth control... I've been on my period for almost a month, when normally my cycle only lasts 5 days. I have light cramps every day, the bleeding is VERY heavy, and it's completely zapped my energy.. I do not recommend!"

For Birth Control "I used to be on Minastrin 24 Fe; last summer I started Larin. I didn't initially have any issues with it; my only complaint was that I wouldn't always get my periods at the 'right' time, but I attributed that to the fact that I had just started taking the pill and my body was getting used to it again. That happened to me with Minastrin; I assumed it was the same now. It hasn't gotten any better though and has actually gotten worse. I don't really get periods on Larin, which is mostly okay, but for pregnancy scares, I'd just rather have a period. I still get the cramps, and I get cramps during the period week AND during week 2 of the pack. Usually, they're not too terrible, but this month the non-period cramps have been crippling. I've also been getting headaches more often, but I'm not 100% sure that's caused by the medication. I can't even say they're worth it because they prevent pregnancy because I haven't had to test that yet. Looks like I'll be trying a different birth control soon!"

"My daughter has very heavy periods. Horrible cramps and moods that swing into depression. She also has epilepsy. Her doctor recommended this to try to slow her periods. The first month, it worked great. Her moods were better, and her bleeding was so much better. The second month, it is horrific. She has had random nosebleeds, worsening allergies, and mood swings so severe it has been like PMS on steroids. She has severe acne so bad she was placed on antibiotics. She has been craving red meat like water. She doesn't usually eat red meat. She is extremely irritable and has had cramps. But no period at all this month. The doctor told me to throw it away and that she needs to increase her vitamin D."

For Birth Control "I will start that I do NOT do well with birth controls. I have tried everything under the sun and have had issues with them all. This has been the best one yet, but that doesn't mean I haven't had issues. The issues have just been a lot less than others. I switched from the patch, which was just all around a nuisance and I hated it. I've loved being on this pill, but about 4 months in, I started bleeding, and not just spotting, full-fledged period, clots, headaches, cramps, acne, and I bled for a month. I DO NOT LIKE THAT. I take BC so I don't have a menstrual. I always skip the placebo. I searched and searched for answers and found nothing, until FINALLY I found one single thread on a forum where somebody said they had the same thing happen and it would happen randomly and it was almost the body's way of forcing you to shed the lining of your uterus, and all she had to do was take the placebo pills for 7 days and then go back to the regular pills and she would stop bleeding. IT WORKED!"
