For Birth Control "I am 45 years old and have taken birth control pills from the time I was 18 to 34 when my husband and I decided to start a family. For 11 years my cycles were always 26-28 days. The reason I went back on the pill was due to painful menstrual cramps and not to get pregnant. Since I have been on this pill, I had immediate breakthrough bleeding, it's lasted for 3 months. It's actually gotten worse, I bleed every day! I have also suffered from migraines and headaches daily in the 3rd month. My breasts are huge and my weight is creeping up. I feel depressed and have no sex drive. I hate this pill! I took my last pill today. I'd rather have two painful days of menstrual cramps. I will never take this pill ever!!!!!"

For Birth Control "So I have been on Gildess for exactly a year now, and it is the first BC pill I have ever been on, and it's pretty great. The only side effects I have noticed, but haven't really thought too much about, are that recently every little thing is starting to bother me. I get upset or sad for almost no real reason, and I don't feel like myself most of the time, which is sad. I am usually a very happy, calm person, but I feel like I'm not like that anymore. Other than that, I don't have any other side effects at all. It's pretty great, it regulated my period, and I have no random spotting or pain of any kind, so I don't recommend it as the best form of BC, but it's not the worst one and works very well for preventing pregnancy."

For Birth Control "Beware! I wish I could give it no rating! The worst birth control I've used! I've never suffered from depression or anxiety, but after about a month of using this, I would have random panic attacks, outbursts, and cry myself to sleep! Everyone reacts differently to birth control, but this was by far the worst!"

For Birth Control "I've written a review 2 months ago, and things have changed a little. I'm 18 years old, and I've been on this BC for almost 4 months. The first and second month and a half, I was experiencing bloating, nausea, and pelvic cramps. I also felt a little depressed and down. I spotted in the third week of the pack and got my period on the placebo week. In my third pack, I spotted and only had my period for about 3 days when I normally have it for 5. I also had a yeast infection and a UTI 2 weeks later. Now, I'm on my third week of my fourth pack, and I've been experiencing pelvic cramps for a week. I haven't spotted yet. My nipples started to feel sore too, which was strange because it never happened since I started taking the birth control."

For Birth Control "Terrible - depression, mood swings, highs and lows, uncontrollable moods, went to the emergency room for possible DVT, turned out to be nothing. I have spotted every day taking this pill the last two months and have pink discharge after sex."

For Menstrual Disorders "I take birth control for severe menstrual cramps, and this did the job! No cramps and a very light period. HOWEVER, I was extremely emotional and drowsy all the time! I didn't feel like myself, I didn't want to be around anyone, and the littlest thing pissed me off. As soon as I was on the period, I felt SO different. That's when I knew I could not take it again. I also got bad acne, but it may have been due to the stress of knowing I was not feeling like myself. I only took it for one month. If you do not feel like yourself when taking it, please talk to your physician. When I told mine, he mentioned that this drug is known to make some patients depressed."

For Birth Control "I am single, and I am only taking this mainly for my acne issues. I stopped taking this a year ago when I was in a bad relationship and was too depressed to take the pill regularly. After stopping, I've had under-the-skin acne/bumps all the time and it has not gotten better. I caved in and am back on it. I just finished week 1 of my first pack. I wasn't getting cystic acne previously, but did get one a couple of days ago. Hopefully, this will be the only one. When I was on this in 2015, I was very depressed and had no sex drive, but I was also in a bad relationship, so I won't put the blame on the pill just yet. I will keep you updated with my progress, wish me luck!"

For Birth Control "I get so dizzy and nauseous on this pill. With headaches. No weight gain or decreased libido. Just terrible cramps and tons of spotting and mood swings and depression. I've also broken out more. And gotten terrible yeast and BV infections. Don't take, please."

For Acne "I have been on this pill for almost a year now, and it has been pretty good! In the beginning, my periods were still very heavy and cramp-induced. I also had mood swings and got depressed for some time, but not sure if that was entirely due to the pill. About 3-4 months into the pill, my body adjusted, my periods regulated, and are much lighter and shorter. I had moderate acne, and this pill has improved my skin. Still get a breakout every now and then, but I'm grateful. I'm just a bit scared for when I come off the pill (will my acne return with a vengeance?)"

For Birth Control "Went on this as a cheaper option from Lo Loestrin Fe. Was on it for probably 3-4 months, and this gave me the most intense mood swings. I experienced weight gain, which isn’t a normal symptom for me, and it also made me extremely depressed."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for 3 weeks. I am pre-menopausal and am anemic, so the doctor thought the pill might regulate my bleeding. So, I am not using this as a birth control method. Week 3, I had suicidal thoughts all day and severe depression. I am never like this. I am also bleeding and have severe cramps. I never had cramps with my menstrual cycle before. I called the doctor today to put me on something else. After reading all of these reviews, I am convinced it is this birth control pill."

For Birth Control "Honestly, I never write reviews, but I have been on this birth control for 3 months, and I just requested to switch. My first period was pretty bad, and my second was so light I was worried it didn't even count as a period. My inconsistent periods are not what bugged me, though. My mood swings have been insane, and everyone pointed it out to me after I have been saying I feel depressed, spent a lot of time sleeping and in my room. I'm usually a positive person with a positive outlook on situations, but I have felt myself become more negative and miserable. I have been on other birth controls before and have had no problems. I fully believe different birth controls affect people different ways, so it may work for you! This has just been my experience."

For Birth Control "I take birth control to help treat my ovarian cysts. Normally, I take Junel, but I decided to switch to Gildess because it was cheaper, assuming they were the same drug, they are not. I have constant cramping, I became depressed, I've gained 15-20 pounds, had numerous anxiety attacks, and am plagued with paranoia, had the worst breakouts of my life. Oh, and the whole reason I'm taking birth control, you know, to treat my ovarian cysts, guess who just got discharged from the hospital with prescribed pain medicine because of their frickin' ovarian cysts? I don't care how cheap this drug is, it shouldn't be legal. I've never been depressed, but on this, I was starting to feel suicidal. Just don't do it."

For Birth Control "I'm so all over the place with this birth control. I'm 19 years old, and currently started on my 2nd month. During the first month, I had severe mood swings with extreme bouts of depression and rage. To the point, if someone accidentally bumped into me at the store, I wanted to engage in a physical altercation. My acne was also increasingly horrible for about a week. However, now my mood has stabilized (except I'm still susceptible to depression easily), as well as my acne. BUT I HAVE STARTED LACTATING! Yes, lactating. I have had breast tenderness throughout being on the pill, but yesterday I actually started noticing milk out of one of my breasts so far. I'm so concerned. This is not something I was warned about... I'm not sure what to do."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had been on a different form of bc for several years, but apparently it was not as effective as I got older. My GYN prescribed Gildess to me and suggested I try it for a few months to see if the condition improved. I was on Gildess for a total of 5 months. I kept in mind that you must allow time (3 mos) for your body to adjust, so although I experienced side effects from the start, I gave it a shot. I experienced uncontrollable mood swings and felt depressed and tired all the time! The worst side effects, though, were the extreme headaches I experienced while taking this medication. I know everyone is different, but as for me... I would never recommend this pill to anyone."

For Birth Control "I just wanted to start taking this BC because I have a bf. But this pill is giving me all sorts of symptoms. 1. I spot every morning. 2. I get really sad and confused or irritated. 3. Gas... 4. Acne is taking over my face. 5. Worst nausea after I eat anything. 6. And occasional headaches. I am getting off this pill ASAP. If you want these symptoms, this is the pill that you are looking for."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this for about 4 months, and I have never been an overly emotional person, and now all the sudden my mood swings and emotions are off the charts. I never get that sad over things, and it's made me a lot more depressed/sad. I've always had an easy period, so that wasn't affected, but my emotions are so messed up. I do not suggest this brand."
