For Birth Control "After two weeks, I couldn't take it. My nerves felt so thin, every little normal everyday snafu became an emotional overload. I was angry in a flash at work, and also on the road while driving, making me realize how unsafe and untenable my life had seemed to become. I would also randomly feel like crying at work, which only created extra stress to try to keep calm. After a couple of different sick days, where I tried to relax and integrate the medicine, I realized with intuition it just wasn't all in my head. So I stopped and felt more normal soon after. I was also bloated and nauseous while taking it. My advice is try it if you want, but if you start having emotional problems, don't wait around trying to adjust or assume it's all in your head."

For Birth Control "This has to be the worst birth control I have ever taken. I have never experienced so many side effects on any medication. This pill makes me so nauseous that I wake up out of my sleep!!!! My acne is usually controlled, but not on this! Gildess has wrecked havoc on my entire body. I get breakouts on my chest (ew, gross, I know), and I have gained so much weight on it. I'm talking about like 20 lbs., and let's not even mention how emotional I am. I cry about EVERYTHING. The only plus side to this was the huge cup size increase: 34B to 34D. If I hadn't already been to my gyn, I'd think I was pregnant. Nope, it's just this damn birth control. Oh, and my GYN says my blood pressure is also elevated. You are better off being pregnant!"

For Birth Control "I'm blown away by the bad reviews. However, I fully believe every birth control affects people differently. This pill changed my life. I've had bad endo since I was 13. I'm 32 now. Bleeding to the point of not being able to leave the house and pain to the point a bottle of vodka was the only fix. Since I started this pill 2 years ago, I haven't had a single period. No cramps! I still bloat near the end of my pack, but not bad at all. No acne. The only negative side effect I think is slight unusual nausea, but coming from awful endometriosis, it seriously doesn't even bug me. When I started, it took a month for breakthrough bleeding to stop. My body had to get used to it."

For Birth Control "I have been on several different kinds of birth control: pills, NuvaRing, Implanon, spermicides, condoms. All the hormones were too much for my body to handle, eventually, I had to quit trying. I had my Implanon removed after a year and a half of nonstop bleeding and suffering from severe vertigo, headaches, and depression. So I went to my doctor and expressed my concerns. She prescribed this to me, and I was so reluctant to take them. I honestly expected the worst. The first month was rough, not going to lie... my body was adjusting. I was dizzy and nauseous a lot. But then, it all stopped. My body regulated, and I couldn't be happier with this choice! My period is on time every month, and it is super light the whole time. It's amazing."

For Birth Control "NOT RATING IT HELPED ME. I started this a week ago. Three days after I started, I woke up horribly nauseated but no vomit, so I sucked it up and went to work just to get there and throw up repeatedly for about two hours. Once that stopped, I was fatigued. Then exhausted. Then the migraines started. I had minor migraines in my forehead that got worse with light or after waking up. That went on for three days. That stopped two days ago and yesterday I started feeling weird cramping in my left side just below my ribs, and it went into the tops of my thighs and hips. Today the cramps are still in my side (not painful, just uncomfortable and concerning) and possible constipation. Wondering if any of this matches anyone else, please and thanks."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 2 years now, and it gets worse and worse each month. I have experienced horrible nausea, headaches, mood swings, and depression. I constantly have bleeding throughout the month, and my period never comes when I'm supposed to have it. It is almost as irregular and heavy as it was when I didn't take the pill. I get extremely bad cramps and bloating as well. Currently in the process of trying to switch to a new pill. Very angry."

For Birth Control "This drug is terrible. I was actually prescribed Junel (which I have taken previously with no problems), but my pharmacy doesn't carry that brand anymore, so they gave me Gildess instead. It's the same thing, right? WRONG. I've been on Gildess for 2.5 weeks now, and I have never felt so consistently terrible in my entire life. I take the pill at night on a full stomach. I wake up in the morning with moderate nausea that lasts until well after lunchtime. I have headaches and abdominal cramping and gas... oh, the gas. By mid-afternoon, my stomach is so full of air I look pregnant. I'm anxious, irritable, and on-edge all the time. It's literally the worst."

For Birth Control "I started taking this for birth control. I have been on it for 1.5 months, and I have no issues with it now. The first couple of weeks were rough as far as mood swings/over-emotional responses to things. I was also slightly nauseous at times for the first week, but nothing unbearable or that would make me stop taking it. I still got a little emotional starting back up after my placebo week, but not as bad, and it went away after a couple of days. My period was much lighter than usual, which was very nice. Overall, I haven't had a bad experience, and my side effects were what I expected for starting any birth control. No major issues, I'm pretty happy with it so far."

For Birth Control "So I've been taking this pill for 2 months, and I'm torn. First off, I haven't gained any weight, and I'm not pregnant, which is good. The cons are my moods are heightened. I'm way more emotional and get annoyed/mad a lot easier, and this started right away. My period lasted for a whole week last time, and although it wasn't heavy, I still had cramps. Also, when I'm on my period, I get nauseous, and I'm not sure if that's from the birth control or just me being on my period. My boobs have grown, which is another pro, but my acne has actually gotten worse. If my acne doesn't clear up by the third month, I think I'm going to switch because I really want clear skin... I had mild side effects: increased appetite, some cramps, and mild nausea."

For Birth Control "I was on Demulin and Zovia from the first time I got my period until three months ago. I'm 35, so literally 20 years. I LOVED that pill. No side effects and a very light period like clockwork down to the hour. After turning 35, my doctor said I needed a low estrogen pill, and she switched me to Gildess. First month, I had tender breasts, which never happened before, cramping, and my period lasted over a week. Second month, I started getting nauseous every day, bad cramps, but only got my period for an hour. Four days ago, I started my third month, and I've been so sick. Debilitating cramps, severe nausea, and overall feel like death. The doctor told me today to stop the pill right away. I've never in my 35 years of life felt this sick from BC."

For Birth Control "Honestly, I had been really hesitant about starting this birth control based on the reviews it got, but I've been on it for about 7 months now and seriously have no complaints! I think I experienced a little bit of nausea and fatigue the first month on it and some breakthrough bleeding up until the third month, but all those side effects have subsided, and my skin has been super clear as well! My period usually lasts only about three days on this and is really light, and most important of all, I'm not pregnant!"

For Birth Control "2nd month on the pill, this is my 2nd review. I feel nauseous a lot. No super craving. Broke out about the same. It seems like it makes me feel super sad/anxious for about 24-48. I shouldn't start until I sat still on the last week of pills. I spotted Monday in the morning, it stopped. Now it's Wednesday and I have to use a panty liner. I will report again next month."

For Birth Control "I was just put on this medication three weeks ago. I didn't have a problem with nausea, but I'm moody, angry, sleepy all the time, and have absolutely zero sex drive. The bloating is the worst part and the constant stomach upset and gas. My period started two weeks earlier than it should have. This medication just doesn't work for me."

For Birth Control "I was afraid to try this because of all of the negative reviews. It's best to just try things out yourself. Everyone is different. I have only been on birth control once before. I was on the Skyla IUD previously for a little less than two months. My body couldn't handle it at all. So I decided to get off it and try the pill. I waited until my period started, and now I am on my third week. At first, I did have mood swings (pretty bad), I was emotional, with nausea, but not too bad. I am still bleeding a little, but it's going away. I called my gyno to make sure it was normal, and apparently, it is. It takes some time for your body to get used to it. Now that I'm on the third week, I am starting to feel normal again. Even kind of happy. Best of luck."

For Birth Control "I was on Gildess for 3 months, it was my first experience with hormonal birth control. For one thing, I didn't get pregnant while taking it, so it does its job! I did have some unpleasant side effects, though. I had constipation and gas while I was on it, along with some mood swings, although I can't be 100% sure that these things were actually caused or worsened by the pill. The pill did cause nausea (mostly during the first month), swollen and sore breasts (mostly during the 3rd month), and a bit of acne. My periods were extremely light on this pill. During the first month, I had cramps (usually very mild) every day, then a normal period 2 weeks into the pack, followed by spotting with mild cramps until I finished that pack."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill around 7 months ago to treat my extreme mood swings. The first month included some nausea, but everything else seemed fine. As the months have gone on, I've experienced heavier spotting in between my scheduled periods and lighter periods because of that. This last month I didn't even have my period. I am currently on day 10 of my weird spotting when I should be having my period (on day 1 of the placebo pill). I also am experiencing some bloating and nausea. It has really helped with the mood swings, but this nasty spotting all the time isn't any good."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for two weeks. I had a Mirena IUD for 3 years, and I had it removed because I had low sex drive, pain from ovarian cysts, and I was getting frequent migraines. I was switched to Seasonique generic, Ashlyna, but it made me very nauseous and VERY hungry. I gained about 6 pounds in the first week. Since then, I was switched to Gildess, and I am back down 6 pounds and feeling better. The only thing I noticed is that I did develop a large boil on my chin for the first few days, and I am unusually tired. I have spotted for about 10 days, and my breasts are a little sore, maybe swollen. I have to be on birth control because I have severe endometriosis that has been removed twice. Anyone have a similar experience?"

For Birth Control "I've written a review 2 months ago, and things have changed a little. I'm 18 years old, and I've been on this BC for almost 4 months. The first and second month and a half, I was experiencing bloating, nausea, and pelvic cramps. I also felt a little depressed and down. I spotted in the third week of the pack and got my period on the placebo week. In my third pack, I spotted and only had my period for about 3 days when I normally have it for 5. I also had a yeast infection and a UTI 2 weeks later. Now, I'm on my third week of my fourth pack, and I've been experiencing pelvic cramps for a week. I haven't spotted yet. My nipples started to feel sore too, which was strange because it never happened since I started taking the birth control."

For Birth Control "I've been on a few birth control pills before, but none of them ever made me feel like this pill. I've only been on it for 2 weeks and already have breakthrough bleeding! Nauseated every day since starting this pill, dizzy/motion sickness, light sensitive, and I get angry really fast. Not to mention I have really bad cramps with this breakthrough bleeding. I got put on this pill to help with PMS, but I am definitely switching. Do not recommend at all."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control about 3 months ago, and I personally think it's awful! The first month, I had really bad nausea, car sickness, and breakouts. I still continue to break out all the time, randomly have nausea, especially in the mornings, and being out in the heat makes me nauseous and gives me migraines (not sure if that's from the medicine, but it started about the time I started taking it). I also have lost 10 pounds and cannot seem to gain it back, which is abnormal for me! I absolutely hate this medicine and will be switching here soon!"

For Acne "This is the second time my doctor has put me on this exact birth control. Both times it was because of acne and the fact that I am a human who has sex. Both aren't worthy of being medicated. The doctor claims this will prevent future cysts (I had a small one). My periods have been regular for almost a year, but the past 2 were heavy before I started this medicine. I am done. I still break out. The first 2 weeks I had headaches all day, all night. The nausea is more intense now. Hot flashes. Heart pounding and chest pains. Stomach easily upset. Dark urine and bloating. Mood swings are the worst of it. I am not myself. I am on anxiety medicine, and this defeats the purpose! I feel so awful every day. This is not worth it."

For Birth Control "I am 25 years old and have been using a birth control since I was 14 years old. Therefore, I have gone through numerous birth control switches. NEVER in my life have I actually noticed symptoms of a medication than before using this. At first, I thought I could have been pregnant. Taking 3 different tests (all of which being negative), I realized it had to be from this birth control. I have been on this for one month, and today after almost fainting because I felt so sick, I refuse to take one more pill. Throughout this one month, I have visibly bloated in my stomach, my breasts enlarged. I have felt nauseous every single day. My anxiety and depression have been at an all-time high, not to mention I am agitated about pretty much anything. DON'T RECOMMEND."
