For Birth Control "I have been using Generess Fe for about 10 months. The first few months I had breast tenderness, but that went away. I may have had some weight gain, maybe about 5 pounds, but they may be just from unhealthy eating also. I have not experienced any other bad side effects and no pregnancy. The first few months I had a normal period exactly when I should. It slowly started decreasing in length and in heaviness. Now my period is barely spotting, not even enough to wear a pad. It's easy to use since it's chewable, tastes like mint. So for people that have trouble swallowing pills, this is great. It can be swallowed whole as well. I haven't used any other birth control before, but this has worked really well for me."

For Birth Control "I've been on Generess Fe for roughly 5 months, and I'm still experiencing bad nausea. I have also noticed weight gain (probably around 10-15 lbs within the first couple of weeks), my breasts are constantly tender, and I'm depressed and tired much of the time. I have an appointment to switch my birth control."

For Birth Control "Seriously, is this pill a joke? Screw Generess FE. I'm about to enter my 4th week, and I've never been more miserable in my life. Let me start by saying that no pill just magically makes you gain weight, it's the increase in appetite that makes you gain weight. I'm freaking starving ALL the time, no matter how full I am. I'm EXTREMELY tired. I have done nothing all week except go to work, eat, and sleep. I'm a totally different person. My boobs hurt, and I had a huge fight with my new husband. Would rather have sex never again than feel like this any longer."

For Birth Control "Was put on Generess Fe to regulate spotting I have had for 3 months (PCOS). Have been on it a month, and it has been a horrible experience. I was surprised to see all the great reviews since I am having such trouble. I am usually a very happy person and have been extremely depressed, emotional (crying outbursts at ridiculous things), and irritable. I've had headaches daily since Day 1. Spotting has gotten worse. Breasts are so tender and painful, and I have horrible low back cramps during the 3rd week. Praying this is just because I've been so long without a cycle (8 years and 1 month), and it's just shocking my body. Doctor says it could take 3-4 months to regulate. Not sure I can handle that but willing to try."

For Birth Control "I was on this medication for 3 months and didn't have a great experience with this one. For the first two weeks, I was extremely nauseous, once that died down, my breasts were sore and grew from a small B to a full C. At that time, my sex drive dramatically decreased, and I became very moody, which never really stopped. Starting a different birth control at the end of this cycle, and I am very relieved. I am giving it a two because it did prevent pregnancy and made my periods regular."

For Birth Control "Generess Fe is my very first birth control, and I'm in the middle of my second pack. I can say it's a good medication, although the side effects are pretty noticeable. I get extremely sensitive, sad, a big crybaby for stupid reasons. Breast tenderness, a lot of spotting in the first month. I was feeling a little more thick lately, I asked my boyfriend, and he said I had gained a little bit of weight. And looking back, I have been eating a lot of junk, so it increases your appetite. Your period becomes light. My first period lasted three days. And before the birth control, I had a crazy heavy period. So it might feel scary if you're used to having a crazy period and suddenly it's really light, but you're fine. That's how it works. And I'm baby-free!"

For Birth Control "I've been on Generess Fe for 5 weeks now. I started the first day of my period and practiced safe sex the first month. I was on Loestrin before, which made me feel crazy. And NuvaRing, which made sex uncomfortable. Generess is not so bad, I did get nauseous in the beginning and when I had to double up when I missed a pill. I do feel anxious, but I also have been recovering from generalized anxiety disorder, so it's a normal feeling for me. I did, however, have strong depressed feelings for a few hours, but again I thought it was my period. I feel my moods go up and down faster, but they aren't as bad as the other pills I was on. I do feel more calm on this pill. I do feel breast tenderness, but that's it."

For Birth Control "I am 33 years old and have had two children. This is my seventh month taking this pill. I have had trouble finding a pill that would not give me heavy spotting for months. I have not gained a pound. I did have nausea and breast tenderness for the first few weeks and slight spotting. I missed my period last month but got it a week early this month. Periods are a lot lighter and last no more than 4 days. I am not a fan of chewing my pills, so I just swallow. Overall, I would recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for 3 months. I had switched because I had been on the same pill for 6 years prior. I've always had terrible cramps, but thought that was normal and I had to deal with it. Once on this pill, not only did my cramps get even worse, my breasts were so tender I could barely put a bra on. However, everybody is very different and can experience different side effects. Although I'll be switching pills again, it is worth the trial to see if it may work for you."

For Birth Control "I am almost done with the first pack (I am on the brown pills) and can honestly say I am not sure if I am even going to wait to see if it helps my cramps, which is the whole reason I got on birth control in the first place. I gained 5 pounds in 3 weeks by doing nothing differently. My waist has completely changed. I gained fat on my love handles, and I have not been eating or exercising any differently. I went from 116 lbs to 121 lbs. I have never hit over 120 lbs in my life. I was 121 lbs waking up, so it's not like I was full from food or something. Also, my breasts are really sensitive. The upside to this birth control is that the pills are chewable. Also, I tried Aviane in the past, and all I could do was vomit the first day I took it. No nausea with this."

For Birth Control "I have been on Generess Fe for over a year. I do not ovulate as much as 'normal' women, so I was only having a period maybe once every 6 months. I know that may sound fantastic, but I got a horrible yeast infection that would not go away no matter what I tried (prescription and non-prescription). However, after starting Generess Fe, it cleared up within the first week! As a lot of others have said, I do experience some nausea right before I'm about to start my period, and my breasts have always been rather tender. But I do love only having a light, light period for a maximum of 4 days! I never experience spotting, and overall I love Generess Fe!"

For Birth Control "I started this birth control after getting into a serious relationship with my current boyfriend. The first month, my breasts were so sore and tender I could barely touch them, but they did get bigger! My periods became really light (very happy about that) and lasted like 3 days, and I only had to use a panty liner! The downside is I'm gaining weight for no reason! I'm not eating badly, and I've been exercising more, and I'm still putting on weight! I'm changing birth control to Microgestin Fe."

For Birth Control "I started this pill a month ago. After 4 days of taking it, I had a heavy period and terrible cramps that lasted for 5 days. The cramps were gone and the heavy period went away, but after 2 days, I had medium bleeding again and the cramps. It gets worse when exposed to cold or I am cold. I do not know why. I never had this problem before. I'm experiencing breast tenderness and depression. And now I am on my 2nd brown pill and I have cramps and moderate bleeding. I do not know if this is normal, but I am still taking it. My sister-in-law said, who is a nurse, that this is normal and would normally last for 3 months."
