For Birth Control "I must admit, after reading all the negative reviews, I was very nervous to start this pill. I switched from Loestrin 24 FE a couple of days ago because I randomly started to have a lot of spotting. Generess was the next pill my gyno recommended. I'm glad to say SO FAR SO GOOD. I've had no problems! So many women complained of headaches, severe nausea, and increased appetite, yet I have experienced NONE. What a relief! Just goes to show these pills really do affect everyone very differently! I've also noticed that I have actually been in a better mood and had an increased sex drive (which is good for me because Loestrin decreased it). Don't be scared to give it a try!"

For Birth Control "After being on four different types of birth control pills in 3 1/2 years and having HORRIBLE side effects ranging from acne, hair falling out, spotting for months, to anxiety, to stroke-like symptoms and going to the ER, my OBGYN suggested Generess Fe. I LOVE this pill! No side effects at all, other than my breasts have gone from a 34C to a very full 34D! No weight gain (other than in my chest), nausea, headaches, no 'foggy' feeling at all. These pills are easy to take, pleasant tasting, and the light, 2-3 day periods are an awesome bonus! I am so happy to have found a birth control pill that works for me and doesn't have nasty side effects. I highly recommend this form of birth control!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this for almost 3 months now, it's the first birth control pill I've taken. My periods are crazy short, only about 3-4 days, and it's very light bleeding. I don't have cramps, but I am VERY moody. I cry and get mad over insignificant things. My breasts have swollen a little bit. It hasn't affected my weight much at all. One thing I don't like is the mint flavor. After two months, it gets really annoying, and it starts to taste bad. The first day I took it, I got nauseous, but that was it. I've also experienced an increased sex drive, not decreased."

For Birth Control "I've been on Generess Fe for roughly 5 months, and I'm still experiencing bad nausea. I have also noticed weight gain (probably around 10-15 lbs within the first couple of weeks), my breasts are constantly tender, and I'm depressed and tired much of the time. I have an appointment to switch my birth control."

For Birth Control "I only took this medication for two weeks and had to stop. Right away, I noticed moodiness and depression worse than anything I've ever taken. Had a very heavy and long period with cramps and nausea. After the period stopped, three days later, started bleeding heavily again."

For Birth Control "I have been on Generess FE for about 5 months. This is after having my first child, and so far, it's pretty good. My periods have become very light (almost just spotting) and short (2 days on average), and not enough for a tampon, just a light pad is needed. I have noticed some nausea, but it's also flu season! Overall, it's a good pill with minimal side effects."

For Birth Control "I've tried several different birth control brands since I was 18 (I'm 25 now; taking it to prevent pregnancy), and Generess has been my favorite! I used to suffer from migraines, horrible acne, and cysts in my breasts because most estrogen/hormone levels were too high in other pills, but Generess is so low that it has solved all those issues. I noticed a little nausea at first. I've been on the pill for 6 months or so. I did notice a small weight gain - 5 lbs is all. I'm writing this because, for the first time since I've been using Generess, I BARELY had a period this past month, and it kind of scared me. But now, reading about the pill and other women's experiences, I'm realizing that this pill can make your periods almost non-existent. Phew."

For Birth Control "On the medication for 8 weeks now. Terrible mood swings, bloated all the time, face constantly breaking out (after contraception, I'm taking it to clear my face), mild weight gain, very light periods - if any, SEVERE nausea and constipated since the day I started the medication. Symptoms were so bad, I thought I was pregnant for a while... took 4 pregnancy tests over 3 weeks' time to convince me it was just the severe side effects of birth control. I take no other medications on a consistent basis."

For Birth Control "On my 4th pack and have not experienced any problems other than once. I accidentally missed a pill one time starting my 2nd pack and followed the instructions at night (I always take my pills at 10 pm), and the next morning I had what I assume would be similar to morning sickness, which was awful. I had the most nausea the first month on the pill, but after that, it seemed to gradually decrease to the point where I hardly noticed it at all, if any at all. The first time I took the placebo, I got my period after about the same time I do now, regulated on the pill. I haven't used birth control before, so I was not expecting to be regular on the pill this early, but that's amazing! Acne has cleared up too! Very happy!"

For Birth Control "I started taking Generess Fe 5 weeks ago. I bled for the entire first month. It just didn't stop. Then I developed a stronger sensitivity to dairy products than I ever had before. The past 3 days have been unbearable. I haven't been able to keep anything down, I started sweating and nearly fainted a few times. I've also thrown up 5 or more times. My mood swings have been really bad also. I have no idea if this does even help prevent pregnancy, as I needed a backup method for the first month. I'm stopping this and making an appointment to see my doctor. There's no way I can live with constant gas pains, nausea, and throwing up."

For Birth Control "I started taking this birth control a few months before I got married to my husband. It's the first and only brand I've ever tried, but I've noticed no side effects. Even during that crazy pre-wedding time, there wasn't any weight gain or crazy mood swings (I was slightly nauseous the first few days, but it was very temporary). I've been on it 2 years now with no problems. Periods are very light, no problems."

For Birth Control "I was on this birth control for about 4 years and stopped roughly four months ago. I feel 1,000 times better being off birth control. As for effectiveness, this pill gets an A+. I missed pills often and skipped days (terrible, I know), and never got pregnant. However, the side effects were eventually unbearable for me. I have always been an anxious person, but on this birth control, my anxiety was amplified. I would wake up 1-2 times a month in the middle of the night with my heart racing and would feel extremely nauseous. I had a headache for about two weeks after starting a new pack and would get a horrible headache if I skipped a pill. I had horrible nausea while on this pill also. I was very moody on the pill and felt an inexplicable rage occasionally that I could not control. Overall, I feel much, much better with no birth control. The side effects make it not worth it to me - 4 months later, all side effects are gone."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this medication for one week, two days now. I was scared to take it at first because I have never taken an oral contraceptive before. I was on the patch, and it was a nightmare. But this medication sits pretty well with me. I get a little nausea from time to time, but nothing major. Occasionally a headache and mild cramps. (These symptoms aren't normal for me, so that's how I know it's the medication). I've also had my period for as long as I've been taking it, but it's very light. Hopefully, my body will get used to it soon. Oh, and I haven't had any mood swings."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for about 10 months now. The first 6 months for me were horrible. Constant nausea from the time I woke up until I went to sleep. This was my last hope, I have been on Loestrin Fe, Microgestin, NuvaRing, and every one of them gave me constant yeast infections. I'd get rid of one, and within a week, I'd have another. So after this birth control, I was going to give up, but I wanted to be sure. Now, I'm great. Haven't gained any weight at all, my boobs haven't gotten any bigger, which sucks (32A... yeah, I know). I don't have nausea anymore. And it's free on my insurance."

For Birth Control "I was on the pill for 6 months, and this was my first time taking birth control pills. For the first month or two, I found myself feeling nauseated quite often, but I suppose that was just my body getting used to it. And for the first month, I spotted for 1 day, and I didn't have my period for the whole time I was on the pill. Before taking birth control, I often got severe menstrual cramps, but with no periods on the pill, I had no cramps at all. One bad side effect was the feeling of being bloated... ALL THE TIME. I also had some weight gain as well, probably about 7-10 pounds in 6 months. I got off the pill a month ago, and my periods have started again, so I'm sure it was the pill that caused my lack of menstruation."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for a while now, and I've had no terrible experiences. I was put on it to control my period, which was nonstop for three months, and now I'm barely having a period when I take the inactive pills. It's very effective and easy to take. On occasion, I've experienced spotting or irregular periods because I've forgotten to take it once or twice. I've had no nausea, and I had some mood issues, but that went away for me within the first three months. It took my body about three months to adapt to the pill completely, so it takes a while, but it works very well."

For Birth Control "I was on this medication for 3 months and didn't have a great experience with this one. For the first two weeks, I was extremely nauseous, once that died down, my breasts were sore and grew from a small B to a full C. At that time, my sex drive dramatically decreased, and I became very moody, which never really stopped. Starting a different birth control at the end of this cycle, and I am very relieved. I am giving it a two because it did prevent pregnancy and made my periods regular."

For Birth Control "I love this BC. Not gonna lie, the first month to 3 months suck pretty bad. I was nauseous pretty much 24/7 and spotting for a while nonstop, but it's totally worth it. I naturally have chronic anxiety, but this pill never contributed to it. I actually feel like I've calmed down quite a bit since I've been on it. It definitely helps keep my moods in check and feel like a normal person. I only have a 4-5 day period at the end of each pack with one heavy day, usually. I got on this to regulate my periods, and I haven't gotten pregnant thus far. Never gained weight, never changed my appetite, nothing. I've never had a side effect other than the first couple of months. Only BC pill that didn't make me crazy!"

For Birth Control "I was given two months of free samples of this medication to regulate my extremely heavy and long month-and-a-half cycle. I have only been taking it for 3 days, and immediately, nausea, headaches, and mood swings have hit me hard! But after two days of taking the pill, my period stopped. It is chewable, and I was afraid of that, but it has a really nice minty flavor. Hopefully, after about two weeks or so, the side effects will subside."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for 3 months now. Dr. switched me to it because I have endometriosis and the original birth control I was on (Loestrin) wasn't helping my symptoms. I've been symptom-free for 2 months now. I've had no nausea or weight gain. I have been breaking out, but considering the symptoms I had with the endometriosis, I'll take a little acne if it means my pain is gone. Periods have gotten much lighter and shorter. So far, so good!"

For Birth Control "I've been on Generess Fe for 5 weeks now. I started the first day of my period and practiced safe sex the first month. I was on Loestrin before, which made me feel crazy. And NuvaRing, which made sex uncomfortable. Generess is not so bad, I did get nauseous in the beginning and when I had to double up when I missed a pill. I do feel anxious, but I also have been recovering from generalized anxiety disorder, so it's a normal feeling for me. I did, however, have strong depressed feelings for a few hours, but again I thought it was my period. I feel my moods go up and down faster, but they aren't as bad as the other pills I was on. I do feel more calm on this pill. I do feel breast tenderness, but that's it."

For Birth Control "I've been on Generess Fe for several months now. I went on it to alleviate pain from a small functional ovarian cyst, and for the first couple of months, I totally forgot about the cyst. This past month has been slightly more painful, but it still is a great remedy for functional cysts. I have very light periods, about every other month. I think my sex drive has gone down a little, but it isn't that noticeable. I did have a scare when I went on some antibiotics that I realized made the birth control ineffective for the week, but it all ended well, so just be aware that there are some interactions. I went on this after being on Junel, which made me break out and get very nauseous. Generess has worked very well for me!"

For Birth Control "I started taking the pill a little over a month ago, and it still makes me feel so nauseous. I bled for a full month, and it was heavy some days and light others, but the doctor said that was normal. I don't want to stop taking it because I'm getting married in two months, so I'm pushing through the horribleness of it and hoping the nausea goes away eventually. Oh, and it makes me so moody too!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 2 months now. My first period on the pill came exactly when it was supposed to come and was normal. This last period was really light and only three days. I've had weight loss, but I'm not sure it was the pill since everyone is reporting the opposite. I did feel super nauseated and sad every few days, but it's normal. And my breasts have grown! But they feel tender. I have been taking the pill for severe back pain, and with the pill, that disappeared."
