For Birth Control "I am 33 years old and have had two children. This is my seventh month taking this pill. I have had trouble finding a pill that would not give me heavy spotting for months. I have not gained a pound. I did have nausea and breast tenderness for the first few weeks and slight spotting. I missed my period last month but got it a week early this month. Periods are a lot lighter and last no more than 4 days. I am not a fan of chewing my pills, so I just swallow. Overall, I would recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Generess Fe for a little over six months now. I am very pleased with the pill and have not experienced any nausea, weight gain, or breakouts. I had acne before, but after I started taking the pill, it cleared up a lot. So far, I have had a shorter and lighter period with much less cramping. I did have spotting in between periods the first couple of months, but that has stopped now. I'm a little freaked out because my period is a lot lighter this month than it has been in the past, but from the reviews that I read, other people on this pill experience extremely light periods too, or no periods at all. I cannot say how well the pill works for preventing pregnancy, though, because I use other forms of protection too."

For Birth Control "I started taking Generess in 2011 when I was 15. I was originally prescribed this for major dysmenorrhea that would always interfere with school and normal life. When I first started taking it, I had terrible anxiety and nausea. I'm sure me being 15 and in the throes of puberty didn't help the matter. Anyway, that leveled out, and the worst thing that would happen was I would spot if I took the pill late. Now that I'm older and I've been on it so long, I'm not sure it is right for me anymore. My periods are getting heavy again, and it has started affecting my mood again. I've had tests done, so it isn't an underlying health problem, so I just think it's time to switch to something else. Overall though, I would recommend this."

For Birth Control "I like this pill, but I rarely get any side effects. The taste is terrible to me, though, it's like a terrible mint flavor to me. Your period blood might be brown, mine was. It's just my little warning. The first couple of times, I thought it was early stages of pregnancy, but that is a side effect that is important! Your blood being brown is not bad, it's just old blood. I usually get a day of brown stuff and then red the rest of the way through. My period also ends quicker, thank God. Pain-wise, I used to have terrible cramps to the point I would throw up, it was so bad I had to stay home from school. During my period now, I would get cramps, but not as bad as before and just nausea."

For Birth Control "I've been on this medication a week so far. It's my second birth control ever. Hadn't been on birth control for about 5 years until my OBGYN gave me some sample packs of this. Honestly, after reading other reviews, I was fairly scared to even try it. I will say, the first 2 and a half days were rough, particularly the second night. Lots of nausea and vomiting on the second night. Had a very slight headache for about 4 pills in. Took my 7th pill today. I feel pretty great! The side effects (for me) went away after about 3 pills. Maybe a little VERY slight and tolerable nausea here and there, mostly after waking up due to an empty stomach. Make sure you take this medication when you have food in your stomach, for sure. Otherwise, two thumbs up!"

For Birth Control "I am almost done with my second pack, and I love this medication. I didn't get depressed or nausea like a lot of other reviews. I am seeing a little weight gain, however, my breasts have started at a C and are now a D. I think I am switching off of this, though, simply due to cost per month."

For Birth Control "Generess was hell for the first month that I took it. I was hungry, hungry, broke out, gained weight, I also threw up. But after that month, the exact opposite happened. I lost all the weight, my skin was completely clear, and my breasts were huge."

For Birth Control "I'm on Mylan's generic version of Generess Fe, and so far it's been okay. I've been on four different birth controls in the past year and a half, and I was put on this one to try to eliminate a cyst I've had since November. While I can say the cyst pain had gone away, I have now noticed that I get extremely nauseous on this pill. I'm sure it's just my body adjusting, but I feel terrible. I take the pill at 9 every night, so I think I have to make sure that I don't have an empty stomach when I take it. This pill has also made me break out a bit, but hopefully that will go away in the next few months."

For Birth Control "I have been on Generess Fe for over a year. I do not ovulate as much as 'normal' women, so I was only having a period maybe once every 6 months. I know that may sound fantastic, but I got a horrible yeast infection that would not go away no matter what I tried (prescription and non-prescription). However, after starting Generess Fe, it cleared up within the first week! As a lot of others have said, I do experience some nausea right before I'm about to start my period, and my breasts have always been rather tender. But I do love only having a light, light period for a maximum of 4 days! I never experience spotting, and overall I love Generess Fe!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking this pill for 15 days and have experienced breakthrough bleeding from day 1 until now. I have mild to little cramps, some nausea but no acne or weight gain. If it wasn't for the breakthrough bleeding, I would continue this pill. I am getting married in 25 days and there is no sign of the bleeding stopping, for that reason, I am very depressed and unhappy. I was not warned about these side effects before taking it. I've tried taking it with grapefruit juice to slow down the estrogen metabolism, that didn't work."
