"I've been on this pill for 3 months now. Dr. switched me to it because I have endometriosis and the original birth control I was on (Loestrin) wasn't helping my symptoms. I've been symptom-free for 2 months now. I've had no nausea or weight gain. I have been breaking out, but considering the symptoms I had with the endometriosis, I'll take a little acne if it means my pain is gone. Periods have gotten much lighter and shorter. So far, so good!"

"My doctor put me on Generess Fe after I had tried Loestrin 24 and Lo-Ovral. I was impressed that a lower dose pill worked for me. The first 5 or 6 months I experienced some spotting mid-month, but it wasn't unbearable and eventually subsided. My periods became very regular and light. They still last a full week, but are light enough that it doesn't hinder me. I experience very little cramping and mood change. I feel hungry a lot, and my libido could be better. However, after having a miserable experience with NuvaRing, I am calling my doctor and going back on Generess Fe. By far, this has been my favorite birth control pill."

"I've been on Generess Fe for 5 weeks now. I started the first day of my period and practiced safe sex the first month. I was on Loestrin before, which made me feel crazy. And NuvaRing, which made sex uncomfortable. Generess is not so bad, I did get nauseous in the beginning and when I had to double up when I missed a pill. I do feel anxious, but I also have been recovering from generalized anxiety disorder, so it's a normal feeling for me. I did, however, have strong depressed feelings for a few hours, but again I thought it was my period. I feel my moods go up and down faster, but they aren't as bad as the other pills I was on. I do feel more calm on this pill. I do feel breast tenderness, but that's it."

"I've been on Generess Fe for several months now. I went on it to alleviate pain from a small functional ovarian cyst, and for the first couple of months, I totally forgot about the cyst. This past month has been slightly more painful, but it still is a great remedy for functional cysts. I have very light periods, about every other month. I think my sex drive has gone down a little, but it isn't that noticeable. I did have a scare when I went on some antibiotics that I realized made the birth control ineffective for the week, but it all ended well, so just be aware that there are some interactions. I went on this after being on Junel, which made me break out and get very nauseous. Generess has worked very well for me!"

"I was on birth control for over 10 years. I was switched to this brand because of heavy bleeding. I was put in the hospital for over a week after being diagnosed with pulmonary embolism due to the birth control. I was only on this pill about 6 months. Other pills I was on for years and never had this problem. Now I am unable to take birth control for the rest of my life."

"Love this product! I started taking it a few years ago to clear up my skin, and it exceeded all expectations. Not only is my skin totally clear, I no longer have heavy periods, and I have never experienced any negative side effects. Sometimes when I do get my periods, they come at irregular times, but they are always very light. I'd recommend this product!"

"On this about 3 weeks so far. I have had some moodier days than usual, no reason (Dr. did forewarn me). For some reason, where my body temp was always a bit higher than normal, now I'm cold quite a bit. Energy level is low, hopefully, it will improve with the New Year workout. Breasts are a bit larger."

"I started taking the pill a little over a month ago, and it still makes me feel so nauseous. I bled for a full month, and it was heavy some days and light others, but the doctor said that was normal. I don't want to stop taking it because I'm getting married in two months, so I'm pushing through the horribleness of it and hoping the nausea goes away eventually. Oh, and it makes me so moody too!"

"I started taking the chewable tablets in mid-March when my period was lasting an extremely long time and was extremely heavy. Yes, I got my period at age 14, which is to be considered late, in December, and got it at the end of February randomly, and it lasted almost two months EXTREMELY heavily to the point where I was missing classes and my bed sheets were soaked. Once I started these pills, I felt great. My periods were extremely light, my breasts were huge, and life was great. But then, weight gain occurred, and I gained almost 15 pounds in a month. Coming from someone who used to be able to gain nothing after eating everything, this was awful. I tried exercising, and nothing worked."

"I LOVE this birth control! I've been on it for almost a year. The first month or two, my appetite shot up, and I gained a little weight. But after that first month or two, my body finally got used to it, and my appetite went back to normal, and weight went down again. Other than that, there were no side effects! And it's done its job in preventing pregnancy!"

"I have had the most positive experience with Generess Fe. I have been taking it for over 2 years and couldn't be happier. I simply feel like myself and have not had any issues adjusting to it. My body did not react in a negative way, and I have not had any problems with weight gain. I definitely recommend giving it a try if you're curious about it. Also, their savings card really does work, and I never pay over $25/mo for my prescription even though my insurance does not cover it at this time."

"I have been on this pill for about 2 months now. My first period on the pill came exactly when it was supposed to come and was normal. This last period was really light and only three days. I've had weight loss, but I'm not sure it was the pill since everyone is reporting the opposite. I did feel super nauseated and sad every few days, but it's normal. And my breasts have grown! But they feel tender. I have been taking the pill for severe back pain, and with the pill, that disappeared."

"I was on this pill for two months and was not impressed. I had random spotting a couple of times a week, so it was like I was constantly on my period. Also, during the second month, my hair started falling out. It was so scary because my hair never really fell out a lot when I would shower, but on this pill, I would be finding clumps of hair. Needless to say, I'm switching to a different pill."

"I started Generess Fe 3 weeks ago, and at first I was extremely wary; I had reviews about unstoppable weight gain, terrible mood swings, breakthrough bleeding, acne worsening, and headaches, so I was on the edge. The first 3 days, my face broke out the worst it had since middle school, and I was so upset about it because I had spent so much time and money to get good skin, but after about a week and a half or two, my face has completely cleared up. Since then, I actually have less small acne than when I wasn't on BC. The only side effects I have experienced so far (knock on wood) are I am a bit more touchy on certain days or even random days, and I have a good bit more of the munchies or cravings, but otherwise no weight gain or crazy moods. :)"

"I've previously used other pills, patch, and the ring. My periods usually lasted only 4 days, however, with this pill, I am bleeding a lot longer. I've started spotting and took my first pill, little did I know I would be spotting for 4 days! Today is my 4th day on my period, and it looks way too heavy. No mood swings, no weight gain, skin clear (no difference). I'm only taking this for contraceptive purposes. I am in a new relationship, and I'm very worried how long this blood flow might last."

"I've been on the pill for less than 6 months, and I haven't gotten my period in 3 months. Before birth control, I had very light periods, and now that I'm on the pill, I have none. When I first started the pill, I would get it very light one month, not get it the next, and very light the next month."

"I have a very bad case of endometriosis, which causes very severe pain during my period. After trying a few different birth control pills, which my doctor said may lessen the pain, to no avail, I eventually had surgery. Still, the pain persisted. After that, I finally got my hands on this little green miracle, and somehow (in a way I personally do not understand), the pill has stopped my periods completely. I simply do not have them, ever, not even spotting, and I am only 20 years old. With no periods, no pain. If I stop taking them, the periods and pain resume. I love this pill, it's a blessing for sure."

"This medication was a bit of a struggle for me... for one reason: spotting. Like, a lot. Within the first month, I spotted for two weeks, then it subsided for about a week. Then I spotted for another two weeks, and this just kept happening. Finally, into the fourth pack, I noticed I hadn't spotted in a while and was very happy. I decided to start running for about twenty minutes every day to get some exercise. Unfortunately, I began spotting heavily during my first run. From then on, I have been spotting every time I run. I am now going to switch birth control pills. Other than the issue I had with spotting, this pill is pretty good. I did not gain any weight on this pill, however, my breasts did go up a size."

"I've been taking Generess Fe for a few months now, and I haven't had any side effects! It's been working pretty well because my periods are lighter than before and last about 3 days. The only thing I've noticed is that I have cramps now before my period, which I didn't have before. After hearing all these scary comments about Generess, I was scared to even give it a try, but I'm glad I did because it's been working! Also, if you don't have insurance, this medicine is pretty expensive, so I'd check into that if not."

"I am 33 years old and have had two children. This is my seventh month taking this pill. I have had trouble finding a pill that would not give me heavy spotting for months. I have not gained a pound. I did have nausea and breast tenderness for the first few weeks and slight spotting. I missed my period last month but got it a week early this month. Periods are a lot lighter and last no more than 4 days. I am not a fan of chewing my pills, so I just swallow. Overall, I would recommend this pill."

"I was on this for a year and experienced weight gain, loss of sex drive, depression, thinning hair, and my hormone levels dropped (estrogen, testosterone, cortisol). For me, it isn't worth all of the horrible side effects experienced."

"This birth control really helped control my periods, they are far more light and less painful than before I started this pill. The downside is now it takes just about a miracle to get me turned on, which was never a problem before."

"I've been on this birth control for a little over three years. I started taking it after painful periods. I probably have gained 15 pounds since I started taking it, but I'm also 3 years older and glad I don't look like a teenager anymore. In the beginning, I took the brown placebos, but I stopped and just go from one pack to the next without taking them, so I haven't had a period for awhile. I'll have my mood swings sometimes, but I had those before being on BC. Other than that, I love it."

"This was the first birth control pill I tried. I went to my OBGYN with concerns about serious period irregularity. They just threw the pill at me. Within the first month, I gained almost 10 pounds. I did have a slight appetite increase, but I know most of it was because of this pill. At the time, I didn't realize it, but once I stopped, I realized that I had been acting different on it. And I was also depressed a lot, which isn't normal for me. I stayed on this brand for a few months, then ultimately switched. As soon as I switched to a different formula, I lost the 10 pounds I gained in just 2 weeks, and I wasn't eating any different. It was crazy. Overall, it did its job. It regulated my periods, and I never got pregnant. But the side effects sucked."

"Right after I had the Implanon removed, I switched to Generess Fe. I have been taking the pill for over 2 months now and haven't experienced any nausea or vomiting. No problems with acne. Does what it should - prevents pregnancy and lightens periods."
