For Birth Control "I just started my 2nd pack of Lo Loestrin Fe this past Sunday. I have to admit when I first started this pill, I was a little skeptical because it is such a low-dose pill. I absolutely LOVE this pill so far. I do not have a ton of side effects like with other pills. Last summer, I briefly was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen, and it made me gain 10 pounds in one week! On this pill, I do not have any weight gain and no crazy mood swings, and my period was super light this month. I did have some spotting throughout the first pack, though. I work at a gynecology office, so I am well aware that the first 3 months of any new birth control can have potentially weird side effects such as abnormal bleeding, mood swings, etc. Thumbs up from me. Will update soon."

For Birth Control "48 years old. I was prescribed Lo Loestrin Fe for heavy, frequent bleeding. My OB told me it might even suppress periods. During the first cycle, I had light discharge for 10 days. In the second cycle, there was nothing, no period! Crossing fingers!"

For Birth Control "I’m so surprised by these negative reviews. I’ve been on Junel Fe 1/20 mg for over 2 and a half years, I never once had a single side effect - other than my skin becoming perfect :) Everyone reacts differently to medication, but don’t let these bad reviews scare you. It’s been wonderful for me."

For Birth Control "I started this pill to alleviate migraines and prevent pregnancy. Overall, my experience with this pill has been wonderful from day one. I don't have any breakouts, no migraines, no weight gain, and I haven't gotten my period once in the seven months I've been on it. The downside: I'm overly emotional. I will cry over a commercial now. And I'm paranoid all the time of being pregnant."

For Birth Control "I had to switch to this birth control because my insurance stopped covering Junel, my doctor told me it was the same thing, but it’s not. I’ve been on this for 3 months, and I have a headache every day, moody, bloated, and nauseous almost every day. I stopped taking it because I’d rather not be on any birth control than feel the way I did. Since I’ve been off of it, I’ve been feeling better than ever."

For Birth Control "The very first day I started on this pill, I went looking for reviews. To be completely honest, I have no idea why I did this because it just scared the crap out of me and made me believe I was going to have some crazy side effects or symptoms. I believe most of us go out of our way to write a review when a product is negative, therefore we see all the bad. From my personal experience, this pill was AH-MAZING. Firstly, I was terrified of weight gain. I already struggle to keep my weight low and suffer from a slow metabolism. I have to work out and eat healthily regularly. I have gained no weight. I've had a regular period. No breakouts and no long-lasting spotting. No sex drive issues. No mood swings. I have been completely unaffected :)"

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill since September. Love the low dose hormone vs. regular. I don’t feel moody or anxious compared to past pills, but I have had a few days where I feel nauseous and can’t figure out why. Not sure if it’s the pill. No side effects except MASSIVE weight gain. My appetite is out of control, and I am constantly bloated. I have put on 20+ pounds since I started and am freaking out about it. Not sure what to do, I don’t want to keep gaining."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Blisovi 24 Fe for about 5 months after switching from Tri-Lo-Sprintec, which made my moods crazy. Blisovi 24 Fe has been nothing but good to me. I don’t get acne, I haven’t gotten pregnant (knock on wood), and my periods have become very light and only about 2 days long. Occasionally, I experience headaches and nausea, but any birth control will do that to you, so I don’t find it a big deal. My moods have been much better and less fluctuating overall. I guess everyone really just reacts differently to it."

For Birth Control "Okay, so... despite all of the negative reviews, I wanted to be yet another positive review for those who are unsure whether to try this birth control or not. Here’s the thing, and you’ll hear this over and over... everyone’s bodies are different. So don’t just go by someone else’s experience! I followed this motto, and for that reason, I’ve actually tried this birth control and I couldn’t be happier! I mean, I am pretty much on day 7 now, and I haven’t felt any of the symptoms people say. Before I started this BC, I was on Yasmin and then Reclipsen, which I didn’t realize had higher doses of estrogen in them, which is probably why my body didn’t like it as much. Unfortunately, these gave me leg cramps and sensations in my hands :( however, they might work for others! Anyways, still early days on Blisovi, and I’ve been symptom-free. I’ll keep y’all updated on this journey, which I’m sure will be a blast."

For Birth Control "I've been on this Blisovi 24 FE after Minastrin became unavailable on my insurance. Previously, I was on Loestrin 24 FE, and all of these birth controls have had the same effect. I used to have extremely heavy periods without BC, and now I almost don't have a period at all. Seriously, no negative side effects, no weight gain, acne, etc. I'm surprised to see such negative reviews."

For Birth Control "I was originally prescribed Junel Fe 1/20 birth control due to my very painful cramps, bleeding, and after finding out I have anemia. The first month, there was spotting for a couple of weeks, but then it went away. The cramps and bleeding definitely got better. This felt like a relief, and I thought I was on track to making my life better. Unfortunately, halfway through my 5th month, I decided to stop taking these pills. I was experiencing very severe anxiety and depression. I normally am a pretty anxious person, but I typically deal with it in my own ways. However, this was the worst of my life. I felt suicidal. I was worried about everything. I had a panic attack. I couldn't sleep well. My family and co-workers were noticing a change in my behavior and mood. It wasn't good. After I stopped taking them, a few days later, I noticed I felt a lot more level-headed and less anxious. I really hope that others don't have to go through what I went through. I'm hoping this review might help someone out there."

For Birth Control "I'm starting my second month of using Lo Loestrin Fe. I tried other birth control pills at different dosages, but they would make me feel really dizzy and sick. My doctor provided me with Lo Loestrin Fe, and so far I have not felt as bad as I had before with previous birth control methods. I have felt somewhat dizzy, but it quickly goes away. The only main concern is why I have not started my period yet. I know the pill can affect your body in different ways, but I don't like that you don't know whether it's because of the pill or if you're pregnant. I have been cramping and have really tender breasts, but no period. I don't know if this is normal or not, which is why I came to look over these reviews. Looks like it really depends on the person."

For Birth Control "In the past 5 years, I have been on two different birth control pills. I decided to switch to Junel Fe because the other pill wasn’t helping with my period. This pill, however, was a huge mistake. I have been on it for a short time, but it has made me extremely depressed. I have never had mental health issues in the past, and as soon as I started taking this pill, I noticed huge mood swings. I cry all the time, and I am extremely emotional. I would not recommend this to anyone."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control, I would say, for about 3-4 years, give or take possibly 2. I really liked it at first, it made my periods lighter and less symptoms of my period, like cramps and headaches. But over the last year, I've gotten so moody. I thought it was just me going through stuff. Even though I didn't want to be with my boyfriend of 5 years anymore because there are times I want to rip off his head, like I literally can't stand him. But then other days, it's normal, how I've always felt for him. I also NEVER get my period anymore. I'll have spotting for a day, and that's it. I also have lost all my sex drive, like it doesn't even interest me anymore unless I am drinking. I want to get off of this BC so bad, but I don't know what to switch to. I would NOT recommend this BC. Many other side effects I haven't included."

For Birth Control "I thought I was losing my mind until I saw this! I was diagnosed as clinically depressed and referred to a suicide hotline yesterday, no lie. I’m not suicidal, but I’ve been depressed, more depressed than I have ever been in my life the past few months. I’ve become detached, emotionless, and have lost all empathy. I cry all the time and hate being in the same room as myself. I’ve been bleeding for 4 months, and I have no sex drive at all. I didn’t research Junel Fe 1/20 and depression before now because it wasn’t listed as a side effect. My boyfriend just suggested that I look into the pill as a “leave no stone unturned” thing, and voila. I’m not crazy. I’m flushing this stuff right now."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "This medication completely changed my life for the better. Also, having a thyroid autoimmune disease, menopause was worse for me, a bad endocrine 'cocktail' as it were, and I was for almost a year brought to my knees with 20 or more knee-buckling hot flash episodes a day that caused so much joint and limb pain I couldn't walk, severe depression, was nearly bedridden from lack of energy and episodes that were almost anxiety attacks (never had them before). Within 3 weeks of taking FemHrt, it nearly all ceased. I got my life back."

For Birth Control "**DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL** If you have any underlying mental health issues/anxiety or anything, I do not recommend this pill at all. I have pretty mild anxiety, I don’t take anything for it, but I do not suffer from depression. I took Lo Lo, and immediately, the first day of taking it, I got depression symptoms. By day 2 and 3, I had suicidal thoughts, and I have NEVER in my life been suicidal. Literally, nothing was wrong, but I was uncontrollably sobbing every day and having suicidal thoughts. It was the most messed-up feeling, like I couldn’t even function anymore. It took me 4 days to realize it was the Lo Lo, so I stopped, and I am finally feeling better. I could not believe how awful the symptoms were, so I had to leave a review to let anyone considering Lo Lo know what it can do to your mental health."

For Birth Control "I decided to switch to Lo Loestrin Fe after being on Beyaz for 2 months. I felt fine at the start, but by the week before my period, I began to feel really down. Then one day, I had a panic attack. This has never happened to me before. It freaked me out, so I stopped taking it altogether. For the next month, I felt okay, but by my next period, all hell broke loose. What followed was a month of extreme anxiety. I felt as though I was in mourning. I had multiple panic attacks. I went to a doctor and was prescribed Xanax. I began looking into psychiatrists and researching anxiety meds, thinking I was broken for life. I took time off work and devoted all my energy to trying to get better. I am pleased to say that 2 months after stopping, I finally felt like me again. This pill traumatized me and greatly disrupted my life. It's especially dangerous for women who are prone to anxiety/depression. If you are experiencing something similar, just know that it will be okay and things will get better."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this birth control, Aurovela Fe 1.5/30, for 3 months now. I must admit this is the best birth control pill ever. My weight says the same. Haven't had any headaches. My boobs are sore sometimes. My period was normally heavy, but now I'm 2 days, if that, spotting. I highly recommend it. Best decision I made."

For Birth Control "READ IF YOU HAVE ANXIETY. I started this BC because my OB boasted about it being “low hormone” and helping my anxiety even out a bit from having too much estrogen in my previous BC pill. I started it with high hopes and quickly felt my anxiety skyrocket within days. I’ve always struggled with mild anxiety and this BC spiked it to the worst it had ever been. I tried sticking it out, but I made it one month on this pill and said, “I’m done.” I had horrific anxiety, crying spells, I had panic attacks (which I never had), and overall felt horrible. I now have the IUD Kyleena and I wish I had gotten an IUD all along. Never again will I go on the pill. They messed my body up. Not worth it. Please be careful when deciding if BC pills are right for you. I wish this brand would be removed from the market."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control 4 years ago, and my side effects got worse and worse every year I was on it. I’ve never suffered from anxiety, and it made me literally so miserable. Stressed every day to the point where I’d start to shake and get nervous over nothing. I never knew what was causing this. My cramps were also so bad: pelvic pain and mood swings. I’d cry for an entire day and then be fine the next. Muscle aches as well due to my anxiety getting so bad. I also would become incredibly nauseous a few days before my cycle, sometimes, I would even throw up. There were nights where I would constantly just sit in my bathroom from a panic attack. I also got aggravated incredibly easily. I got off of this pill. Please do not take this. Believe every side effect. It got worse and worse every day I took it, and I never thought it could be my pill making me this miserable. The only thing it did for me was prevent me from getting pregnant."

For Birth Control "Junel Fe 1/20 has been absolutely awful for me. The first few weeks, I felt mostly okay, my sex drive was normal, and I felt a little more emotional than normal, but nothing too extreme. Then I had the most intense body aches I’d ever experienced. I was unable to move from my bed for almost a week. No position was comfortable, nothing helped, and I just cried all day. I experienced a lot of breakthrough bleeding, and my breasts became incredibly sensitive and sore and have stayed like that the entire time I’ve been on the pill. The second month in, I started experiencing intense panic attacks and OCD-like symptoms as well as severe depression. This has lasted through the third and fourth months, and I haven’t gone a day without weeping or having a panic attack in two months. My appetite has been gone for about a month now too. Zero sex drive, lots of dryness. Overall, it’s been absolutely awful, and I would not recommend it at all. I’ve never been so mentally unstable in my life."

For Birth Control "I have been on Loestrin for about 9 months now and took it to both reduce my period and birth control. I used to get my period for 7 to 9 days, and it would be extremely heavy to the point I had to change every hour to 2 hours. Yes, I know, horrible. Ever since I started taking Loestrin, I have my period for 4 days at the most, and it's super light. When I first started the pills, I still would bleed a little between periods, but after about 3 months, all that went away. I used to forget, but I use an alarm now, and it works, I never forget now. I haven't had any side effects, no weight gain, but I haven't gotten my period this month, and I'm not pregnant. I would rather have my period for at least a day so I won't get scared that I'm pregnant."

For Birth Control "In the beginning, Larin FE was a little rough. I was nauseous 1-2 times a day. Luckily, I had Zofran. I had acne terribly. I was moody and had random stomach pain. But that was the beginning. DON'T RATE THIS WITHIN A COUPLE OF WEEKS OF TAKING IT. If I went by the bad reviews of people who had only taken this a couple of weeks, I wouldn’t have gotten it. First off, your body hasn’t even had time to adjust to the medicine in that amount of time. I’m halfway through my second pack and now I don’t have acne, maybe a small blemish occasionally, no weight gain yet, no more nausea, no headaches. It’s great now that my body is used to it. I bled lightly for about three days the first week I started it, but since then I’ve not had a period. I had spotting for one day about a week ago, and usually, my period is 3 days and a regular flow but painful, so I don’t mind skipping it. If you try this birth control, give your body until maybe a few packs to adjust. Any meds you take, you have to adjust to the hormones before you know if it is good for you or not."
