For Birth Control "I love it - been on it for 4+ years with no side effects and no babies. I read these reviews before I started and it freaked me out, but don't worry. It's been amazing! So happy I found a BC right for me because I had no weight gain, no mood swings, nothing."

For Birth Control "I started the Xulane patch two months ago. I have to say that it has been a great experience so far. I myself read through these reviews before starting the patch, and I was terrified of the experience I would have. I have not gained any weight. I have not had migraines or even mild headaches. The patch does not itch, nor does it leave a rash or any type of bump. It does leave a residue on the outer ring from where it catches your clothing and collects fuzz. I have not experienced any nausea. It has been smooth sailing. My period is drastically lighter, and I don't get ill or experience extreme cramps. I have to say I'm a huge fan of the patch. It has even increased my sex drive because I feel so comfortable now that I have it."

For Birth Control "I absolutely love the patch. I could never go back to taking a pill. The patch is the simplest way to have birth control for me (it varies by person). If you are someone who goes to school, is forgetful, or just barely has time in the day to remember to eat, this helps you avoid the spotting, the cramps, the possible pregnancy of being on the pill and forgetting to take it. The one and only complaint I have is when playing sports, being in a sauna, or being in warm water for a while, the patch glue becomes weak and you have to be careful."

For Birth Control "Before I started the Xulane patch, I was on the pill (Tri-Sprintec Birth Control) was horrible! I kept having vaginal problems that became very uncomfortable. And also vaginal dryness as well before I got on the pill, I didn’t have those problems. I was always feeling depressed and sad and also feeling like I was going to lose my mind!!! I hated this birth control, so I switched to the patch. When I first started on the patch, I was very happy. I love that I can change the patch weekly and I also can skip periods! My periods don’t be as heavy as they used to be, though. But the cons are I do cramp at the bottom of my stomach from time to time. I also have bad headaches. My breasts just started becoming very sore, and I sometimes feel very tired. Sometimes I feel as though I’m pregnant when I’m not."

For Birth Control "I've used Xulane for 9 years. I couldn't do the pills, I'd get sick even with the low dose ones. I started to use it for my acne because my acne was super bad, the ones that hurt and you couldn't cover up with makeup. Xulane helped a lot, it cleared my skin so much :) to the point I never had acne anymore. Then, of course, it has helped me not to get pregnant too. I'm off of it now and trying to get pregnant. I did conceive a few months after I got off the patch, but I had a miscarriage. I also remember my doctor saying if you were a certain weight that it wouldn’t work. I don’t think that’s true because I was over that limit weight and I never got pregnant."

For Birth Control "I'm 22 and have been on this birth control for a few months, and I have had no major problems with it. No weight gain, my face is super clear, VERY light periods that last about 5 days! I'm writing this because there are so many negative reviews about this birth control when it just depends on your body since we're all different! The only negative would be I do get a bit more moody, but nothing major!"

For Birth Control "Been on it for 10 months. Had mood swings and on-and-off bleeding the first month, but after that, it worked great (I did do the quick start method). I usually keep it on my shoulders, and I hardly remember it's there once I've applied it. Only once had it peel, and my pharmacist simply gave me a new box (he explained that he told the manufacturer it had malfunctioned, and they will send a replacement). I switch patches on Friday, and my period always starts Monday. It ends by Friday when I apply the next patch. Period is now light and pretty much cramp-free, I barely notice. As far as birth control, my boyfriend and I very rarely use condoms anymore, and I have had no issues with pregnancy."

For Birth Control "I’m on my fourth patch. I’ve found the best place to put it is on your low abdomen, right above where your pubic hair grows. It doesn’t fall off here for me, I always put it on an hour or two after a shower and don’t shower for at least 24 hours after I put it on, and I try to avoid exercise in the first 24 hours after application. I tried putting it on my arm, and that did not work at all. I didn’t have any negative symptoms until my third patch, now I’ve been having really bad cramps and really intense breast pain and tenderness. My boobs are always really sore, and I’ve noticed as well that they’re really swollen, and I’ve gone up at least one cup size. I don’t mind the fact that my boobs are bigger, but man, they really hurt. I’m 22, and I’ve tried so many different birth controls since I was 14, but this is the first time I’ve ever had breast tenderness and had them get bigger. This is a really easy birth control method though, and I’m okay with the symptoms."

For Birth Control "Been on the patch for a few weeks now, and as soon as I started it, I started spotting for 12 days straight. Now I have heavy bleeding (have to change tampon every hour, 2 hours max) for 8 days and counting."

For Birth Control "I've been on the patch one month, a complete cycle. I started after my first ever miscarriage, so I was a little weary and nervous about how my periods were going to be since I have been bleeding off and on for the past 2-3 months! Xulane works amazingly for me!! My period is shorter and lighter, but I still spot a few times, which was expected. But I have literally had no other side effects! I forget it is there! I alternate putting it on each side of my back, above my pants line but below my bra line, so no irritation. It has never fallen off, even with bathtubs, I had no issues. I have seen a lot of negative comments, but I truly think it is just how your body will handle it. The patch is amazing for me, but the pill makes me so sick. I recommend!!"

For Birth Control "So I've always sucked at taking the pill, I would always forget. I had Mirena and really didn't like it, had NuvaRing and same thing. And Nexplanon was the worst of them all. I won't go into details, but they all failed me in one way or another. Xulane has been the only birth control where I really have zero complaints. It is very easy to manage. When I was taking the pill, I ended up pregnant at 18 because I wasn't diligent about taking it at the same time or forgetting to take it. Xulane has made my cystic acne clear up almost completely. I've been on it for almost 6 months now, and I won't be changing it. I recommend this to anyone that's struggled with other forms of birth control. I wish I would have tried this sooner."

For Birth Control "I would not recommend this birth control to my worst enemy. I have had terrible headaches, arm and stomach pain, and nausea. I stopped the patch as soon as I started throwing up while driving in my car. I am thinking about going to the ER, it has been almost 2 hours, and I still cannot stop vomiting. This is the worst pain ever. I regret ever using this patch. It is worse than the pills."

For Birth Control "I've been on Xulane for several months now, and I hadn't had a problem until February, when the patch started to give me huge raised rashes. I tried it on multiple spots on my body, tried washing with different soaps, using different lotions-nothing worked. I feel like they must've switched the adhesive recently, because this problem happened out of the blue and wasn't isolated to one patch (I even got a new package and still had the same issue occur). I'm really disappointed because I loved this birth control, but I suppose I'll just have to find something new when I have the time. It's really ruined all the skin I've put it on. The skin where the rashes appeared seems to have scarred."

For Birth Control "I have been on Xulane for almost 3 years now. I tried the pill and would forget to take it. So, my doctor prescribed the patch! It has worked perfectly! Every once in a while, I’ll get a minor headache, but nothing other than that. I wear it on my lower abdomen and switch sides every week. I would recommend it to any woman that doesn’t want to get pregnant right now."

For Birth Control "I took this Xulane patch because I struggle with remembering the pill. This was the worst option for me. I started this on a Sunday morning, and by Monday night, I was having horrible symptoms. I have a very sensitive body, and it caused me to throw up nonstop for 5 hours the first night I was on it. I was instructed to remove it immediately from my doctor. This is not a good option for people whose bodies are sensitive."

For Birth Control "I took the Xulane patch because I wanted another option for birth control. This was the worst. I put the patch on a Sunday, and by Sunday night, I was having an extreme headache, and on Monday morning, I was violently vomiting uncontrollably. I took the patch off and felt fine for the rest of the day despite a horrible headache for the rest of the day and the next day. I switched back to a new pill (Lo Loestrin), and I love it. No side effects so far, and very happy with it."

For Birth Control "The patch was effective, however, it was itchy and hard to know if it was working because a lot of times it would fall off partially. When it fell off, I would be one week short, and it was hard to get a new pack. My insurance wouldn’t cover it, and there was a miscommunication between my doctor and pharmacy. The timing of when to put a new one on if there is an issue is very confusing. I had a few rashes. Wouldn’t recommend."

For Birth Control "Xulane was my first experience with birth control. I had been on the patch for a little over 3 months. I experienced many common (and rare) side effects. However, they either dissipated within a couple of weeks or became manageable. This last month, though, I began to heavily battle depression to the point where I was very anxious and having suicidal thoughts. I also used to have flawless, clear skin. Pimples began to cover my face even with a super diligent skincare routine. My depression did not seem to subside either. As soon as I got the okay from my doctor to take the patch off, my skin began to rapidly bounce back, along with my mental health. It's been a week since being off Xulane, and it's such a relief to be rid of it!"

For Birth Control "Been on Xulane patch a week and my vaginal dryness from the depot is completely gone! My libido has greatly increased too. Before, it would take everything in me to even want to have sex, but not anymore! The only off thing is that the past two nights after dinner I get very nauseated and have lots of indigestion and burping. My cravings for KitKats has also increased, which tells me that it really does mimic some pregnancy signs. I bled almost every day on the depot and now that I'm on the patch I feel great!"

For Birth Control "I'm 18, and I started Xulane as my first form of birth control. I thought the patch would be easy, but it is the worst. :( I would put it on at night feeling totally fine, and the next morning I would feel absolutely sick to my stomach. This happened my first time using it, and after my period, I tried it again, and it's the same thing. I didn't consider my chest pains a side effect until I saw that other women experience it too. I simply cannot function daily and do things like go to work or drive for long periods of time because the nausea is TOO MUCH. I don't like Xulane."

For Birth Control "This terrible thing made me gain a ton of weight in a matter of weeks, a day in water pills, and I’m literally sizes down. It made me so irritable and moody, and my breasts hurt so bad. Passssss. The adhesive left a rash on my leg, and the patch attached to clothing and got messed up too."

For Birth Control "I've been on the patch for two years now and have had a pretty positive experience. I choose the patch because, unlike the pill, it was only once a week and didn't have many horrifying side effects like some other options out there. I place my patch on my stomach, near my belly button area, per the instructions. I find that on my skin it stays put, but removal can be a bit painful, hence, why I always remove it in the shower while using plenty of soap. My periods while on the patch are short and sweet and on the day. I usually have two days of light bleeding and two medium days to end my cycle. I did notice some weight gain, but nothing crazy and nothing I worried myself with. Just remember, every body reacts differently to birth control!"

For Birth Control "This medication works great. My cycle has never been regular, but on this, I can pinpoint the day I start and end my cycle. I do get headaches the first day I put on my new patch, so I just take Advil as a preventive, and that seems to do the job most of the time. This does help control acne as well, and I have not experienced any weight gain, and I have used it for over a year and a half. The patch site can itch, but my skin seemed to get used to it after a month or so. I use it on my lower back above my pant line and switch sides weekly. This seems to be the best spot, except when I get asked what it is. Lol! I was on the Depo shot for a year and absolutely hated it, and can't remember to take a pill daily, so this is a great alternative."

For Birth Control "I first put on the Xulane patch on my right arm and immediately felt nauseous. Every time I put the patch on after a patch-free week, I feel nauseous. It feels terrible. I've been craving everything and starving! I had just gotten off of Larin Fe pill and moved onto the patch, and I deeply regret it. Also, it's left a rash, and everywhere I've put it has been burning, oozing, and it is itchy. I have only been wearing this since October."

For Birth Control "I have been on Xulane for 3 months now, and I love it. Before I started, my periods were bad, with headaches, cramping, and heavy flow. After the first month, my periods dwindled, and now I only need light pads, I rarely cramp and have maybe one headache. However, I do get some redness and irritation on my skin, trouble with the patch adhering to my skin, and also my eating habits have changed dramatically. Sometimes I'll be starving, and when I see what I'm about to eat, I lose any urge to eat. I would recommend it, but be sure you remain aware of your body."
