For Birth Control "I've taken several birth controls, and this is one of the best ones. No nausea, bloating, or water retention. The only downside is the breakthrough bleeding halfway into week 3. I'm hoping that goes away with time."

For Birth Control "I took Vienva for almost a whole month and have now stopped at the recommendation of my OB. I felt distressing amounts of anxiety every day. Shortly after I took my pill at noon, my anxiety would become severe, then again towards bedtime I would get another wave.. racing heart, sweaty, tingly, numb limbs, shaky, the whole deal. I have had at least 6 panic attacks just this month since starting this pill, one of which was so bad my s.o. had to rush me to the ER, where I stayed to be heart monitored for 6 hours. I stopped taking it 2 days ago, and already I am starting to feel normal. First 24 hours with no anxiety in weeks. Also experienced crazy mood swings, breast tenderness, all-over bloating, increased gas, and unpleasant increases in appetite. I woke up every day in pain, starving no matter how much I eat right before bed. I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy."

For Birth Control "This birth control, Vienva, was the absolute worst experience I have ever been put through. Despite the negative reviews, I thought I would still give it a try because it affects all people differently, and let's be honest, no one ever really leaves reviews unless they had a bad experience. I tried it out for four months until I finally couldn't bear it anymore. The first month brought about insane bloating and back pain to where I was concerned I was somehow pregnant. Not only this, but I became extremely constipated to where I would go over a week without a bowel movement, and I also spotted for three weeks straight. After the placebo week, I stopped spotting and I started the next pack. The same thing happened for the next three packs. I actually had to go to the doctors for my severe constipation and was forced to take a laxative daily just in order to pass a normal bowel movement. I recently got so fed up with the spotting that I contacted my gynecologist and switched brands."

For Birth Control "It's my first time on birth control, and I never had irregular periods, acne, or any problems other than typical PMS I’d get a week before my period (anxiety, depression, and major food cravings). I’m 22, 5’1”, and my weight stays about 115 lbs. I started taking this pill a month and a half ago and noticed zero side effects in the first month. I started spotting earlier, but I heard it is normal. Starting my new pack this month, the main issue was my diet didn’t change, yet my stomach looks bloated all the time. No matter what I eat, I look and feel huge. I definitely feel bigger in all parts of my body. It is causing me to be depressed, and it is not the pills making me feel that way - it is the weight gain causing me to feel insecure. I can't eat the way I used to or drink alcohol anymore because no matter what I do, even if I'm eating healthy, I look bloated. Other than that, the pill does what it’s supposed to. Everyone’s different, but I think it's definitely for a person who's ready to make some lifestyle changes with a lot of self-control."

For Birth Control "I took this pill for 2 weeks (transitioned from another pill), and I literally experienced the worst bloating of my life 2 weeks into the pill. I looked pregnant. I went to the ER due to the bloating and constipation. I experienced nausea, bloating, constipation, a depressive mood, and I felt super tired and weak, almost as if I had the flu. I couldn't even finish the pack. Now that it's been 2-3 days since I've been off the pill, I feel like a normal person again. I was finally able to pass stool and pass gas. DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL IF YOU HAVE INDIGESTION OR CONSTIPATION because it will make it worse."

For Birth Control "I only got through 2.5 weeks of this birth control before I had to call to switch! I was constantly bloated. I have always had clear skin, but Vienva gave me painful acne I’ve never experienced before. Once the zit was popped or went away, it would leave a dry patch on my face for about a week. I also broke out into a horrible rash on my face and my arms. On the plus side, it did not give me any pain and only mild mood swings. Not all bad! Just had to switch to save my skin! Everyone’s body is different."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Vienva for a week now, and so far, everything is going well. No bloating, mood swings, headache, etc. I may get a little nauseous for 2 minutes, but that's normal for me if I take any pill on an empty stomach. I was previously on the Nexplanon for 3 years and would sometimes be on my period for like forever. I would like to have a baby in about a year, so I’m only taking this for now to prevent pregnancy. I’ll follow up if anything changes after I’m done with the first pack."

For Birth Control "I've been on the pill for almost two months now. This is my second time taking it, as the first time wasn't very pleasant. But, committing myself to it this go-around, I've noticed some side effects such as: spotting, cramping, bloating, headache, breast tenderness. With any birth control, these are common. I've read many reviews on this pill, and some have scared me, but everyone is different. It hasn't been bad for me this time, besides the side effects I listed above. The low hormone brand brought me in, as I've been on the highest dosage for years. And this pill has worked best for me."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on 4 different birth controls, and this is the first one that hasn’t decreased my sex drive. That is the only positive thing I’ll say about it. Since I started this medication about 8 months ago, I have experienced severe hair loss, constant fatigue (probably due to the fact that I am quite literally always on my period), and bloating. For Birth Control "I have taken Vienva for three years. The cons and side effects I’ve noticed are dry skin all throughout my face and body. The first three months of taking birth control, I became tired very quickly, felt bloated throughout my entire body, and my mouth became dry, so I needed to drink plenty of water. The pill is not tasteful and usually leaves an odor afterward. The pro is that my life has gotten easier to manage, because of the low dosage, my emotions are mild. Hasn’t done much for blemishes. I suggest working with the pill instead of going against it. Overall, it’s effective for a low-dose hormonal contraception pill."

For Birth Control "I was on Aviane for a little over a year, and two weeks ago, I received Vienva instead (at Walgreens). I looked online to see what was up, and apparently, it was supposed to be the exact same as Aviane, just a different name brand. Within the first two days, I had every form of PMS you can think of-REALLY bad. My breasts only hurt when my hormones are extremely bad, and I felt like the nipples were going to fall off. Besides that, acne, weight gain, bloating, extremely moody, depressed, spotting for about a week, anything and everything. I wish I had come on here and saw the similar reviews before I tried it."

For Birth Control "I've been on birth control for about 6 months, and the only side effects I've had were bloating. I had spotting once, felt a little tired, but overall I think it's pretty good. I haven't had any trouble, the only time I bleed without my period is if I miss multiple pills in a row or if I stop taking it."

For Birth Control "I just finished my third month on Vienva. I started Vienva after a horrible experience with the implant birth control. Vienva has been pretty great, no major side effects. My face is the clearest it has ever been, no weight gain, no mood swings. I am pretty sensitive to birth controls, so this is definitely a pretty good one. I still bloat pretty bad, but that's about it."

For Birth Control "Vienva was the worst experience of my whole life. Like many, I was switched from Walgreens to this brand. I even asked the pharmacist if I would have any reactions, as in the past when they switched me, my body had a very difficult time adjusting to the medicine. They assured me that there would be no issues and it's like taking my current birth control, which was Lutera. Well, they were wrong. After a couple of days of taking it, I have had severe headaches, nausea, suicidal thoughts, depression, fear, constant panic attacks, bloating, more acne, and I've also gained over 10 pounds in 2 weeks. Currently, I am scheduled to go to my gynecologist to get a new form of birth control because apparently mine is no longer being produced. For anyone that's being routed to this birth control - use caution."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Vienva, and the first few months were fine. I was originally on a different birth control called Yaz, I think. I started getting acne, so that’s why I switched. After about 3 months of using Vienva, I started getting SEVERE acne and some bloating. I eventually decided enough was enough, and I quit using birth control altogether. My acne is pretty much all gone after being 2 months off of Vienva, but I have so many acne scars on my face. The deciding factor for getting off of birth control was when I looked up the side effects of it, and the first one was ACNE. This shouldn’t persuade you not to take it because everyone has differing experiences with medications. I signed up for the pill club and was prescribed the birth control by them, so it was super easy to get, but if you have problems with acne, I do not recommend it."

For Birth Control "Horrible experience with this birth control (BC). I highly advise you to seek a better BC pill than this one. Horrible mood swings, bloating, and overall really scary thoughts. Two weeks into this pill and I immediately knew I needed to get off. Also was on my period for 17 days straight, just an overall cheap generic pill with horrible side effects, find a better one!!!!"
