For Birth Control "I have previously tried Yaz, which I quit after becoming emotional. My doctor switched me to another brand (which worked fine-no emotional drawbacks) but had to switch me due to my student care card. Then I was switched to Lessina. I had never been so emotional and depressed in my entire life. Additionally, my skin became unmanageable, I started having massive headaches, I couldn't focus because of exhaustion (I slept 15 hours two days in a row and previously had a normal sleeping pattern), and I was so weak that getting out of bed became a task. I am now on a different birth control pill and am experiencing none of these symptoms."

For Birth Control "I've been on Chateal for about 2 months now. I have read about the negative side effects of this birth control, but different bodies have different reactions, and so far it has worked really well for me. I have high levels of androgens, which gave me really irregular periods, so I need to use birth control with more estrogen. I've used a different brand before and suffered severe mood swings and night sweats, which scared me from using pills for a long time. Ever since I gave Chateal a try, I've noticed that my old reactions to birth control are no longer there. I haven't gained weight or gotten mood swings. The only negative effect I get is the occasional headache. It works at preventing pregnancy and period regulation for me."

For Birth Control "I just want to share my experience because I'm pretty impressed with this pill. I was on another pill previously, and it was okay, except for the fact that I would spot ALL THE TIME, which got annoying. So my Dr. suggested I try this to see if my spotting would stop, and at first, I was hesitant to try it due to the bad reviews I've read, but I'm glad I tried it anyway because so far I don't have any negative reaction to it. No headaches, no increased appetite, no weight gain, no breast tenderness, I don't find myself really emotional, no PMSing, which is great. I would recommend trying it, it takes about 3 months for your body to adjust to BC pills. I'm glad it's working out for me, better than the previous pill I was on :)"

For Birth Control "The negative reviews are real! Beware of this. Started taking it a week ago. Made me extremely tired and nauseous. Mild headaches, slightly blurred vision, muscle pain like when you have the flu, and pain around uterus. I would never recommend this product."

For Endometriosis "My doctor prescribed this birth control to help ease the side effects of endometriosis. She leaned towards this one because Seasonique should mean fewer periods and fewer periods should mean less endometriosis pain. This medication was a total failure for me. I know different people have different reactions to medications, but my experience was not a positive one. I bled off and on very frequently and cramped. I had very bad headaches at times (unusual for me). I was extremely emotional and moody (also unusual for me) and stayed bloated a good majority of the time. I was on it for four and a half months and could not take it anymore. Also, very pricey."

For Birth Control "Started taking birth control 6 years ago. Originally started with a different brand, but I've been taking Vienva for a couple of years now and haven't had a problem. My periods have gotten lighter and lighter, as expected with taking any birth control for long periods of time. I think you have to consider that any birth control might give you typical side effects: mood swings, bloating, acne, headaches, etc. It just depends on how your body reacts. I felt more side effects when I was on the first brand I tried and actually prefer Vienva. Everyone's different. Don't hesitate to try something. If it doesn't work out, you can always switch."

For Birth Control "I started taking Lutera because I have horrible pain and insane cramps, hot flashes, etc., on my period. I could've taken a pain killer, but I chose I could just go on birth control again. I used to be on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. This was a low dose of Lutera they told me, so I said ok. It worked as far as birth control and took my cramps and pain away right away, which was a plus. On my 4th pack, I started noticing I had very bad anxiety, I was sweating in my sleep, feeling zoned out after a full night's sleep. I hated how it made me feel. So, I stopped taking it. After 3 days of stopping, I started having light brown discharge and horrible cramps. The longer I've been off it now for a week, the worse it is: heavier discharge, headaches, body hurts, and I have bleeding."

For Birth Control "I've been on this medicine for about a month and had little to no side effects. Just an occasional headache or stomach ache, but nothing Advil can't help. I have no breakthrough bleeding (knock on wood). What little acne I had before has cleared up, and I have also noticed a change in the size of my boobs, but no weight gain or weight loss. I can easily say I'm satisfied so far with this pill."

For Birth Control "I've been on it for about 4 months. I do get nauseous taking it. My appetite seems to have decreased, but I've gained a lot of weight on it. I do get headaches more often, and for some reason, I get constipated as well."

For Birth Control "I started using Levora after stopping Yasmin. I'm starting my third Levora pack next week, and so far my experience with Levora has been great! No headaches, no nausea, no feeling physically weak or overly emotional. My libido is really high, and my breasts have gotten a little bigger. I did, however, have the food cravings as mentioned in other comments, and it did make me gain a little weight, but I notice that when I'm taking the reminder pills, I'm a lot slimmer than when I'm taking the active pills. I also have increased acne by very, very little, nothing that makes me complain or feel annoyed. I recommend Levora for anyone debating on it. It worked well for me!"

For Endometriosis "My endometriosis was diagnosed 2 years ago. 1 year ago, I started experiencing pain during my ovulation too. My doctor recommended Aviane because it has few side effects. The first weeks, I experienced mild headaches and nausea, but the symptoms didn't bother me. I'm regular, but I didn't have my period during the 1st month of taking the pill. By my doctor's recommendation, I would only take hormones and not the placebo pills at all for 3 months. After a few weeks, my period came, more days than usual with a lot of pain. It wasn't abundant, but it wasn't spotting either. The pain during ovulation was not reduced, the headaches are the worst, and the breast pain is bad. I have mood swings, not depressing (anger episodes), and I had the worst vaginal infection ever, something very strange for me. With this coronavirus around, I was unable to see my doctor. I decided to stop taking the pills, in my case, the pain is worse than before. Maybe the pills need more time to adjust, but not thanks."

For Birth Control "This is the generic version of Seasonique. I had been on Seasonique up until I got pregnant, which was about 6 years. After I gave birth, my doctor put me on Camrese. For the longest time, I thought the terrible side effects were because I gave birth. 2 years later, I am realizing it is Camrese. I have been tired nonstop, depressed, super emotional over the most simple things, have gained 15 pounds that I can't seem to shake, headaches, and my appetite has increased. I would not recommend getting this birth control. I will be switching back to Seasonique tomorrow, it never gave me any problems!"

For Birth Control "Seasonale is awesome, especially if you have very heavy periods and very bad cramps during the menstrual cycle. The only side effects I have had are a few headaches here and there and spotting once in a while (hardly ever)."

For Birth Control "Though I haven't been on Aubra very long, I’ve been on it long enough to experience the (very negative) side effects. At first, I didn't notice how this pill was affecting me, but now, I am definitely realizing how bad it has been! This little pill has graced me with hugely increased anxiety, flat/depressed mood, insomnia, weight gain, more acne, heavier and more painful periods, and headaches. I am switching to a non-hormonal IUD because Aubra has messed my body up so much! Do not recommend!"

For Birth Control "Sooo, I took Chateal early 2019. The first month was okay, I thought I found a BC that worked for me! Sikeee!! The second month, I started having really, really bad anxiety, severe nausea, headaches, really bad thoughts (suicidal), smh! I had to stop mid-pack because the symptoms were horrid! Now, to the previous day, my fiancé and I want to have a little blessing, and it’s really hard because it’s been six months of trying and no luck, sadly! My periods are very irregular now, and it’s hard to track ovulation! I just hope I’m able to conceive soon!! Fingers crossed."

For Birth Control "So far, it's been over 2 weeks on Lutera, and I like it. I only had a headache and was slightly nauseous on the first day of taking the pill, and after that, I was fine. My skin is clear (I didn't have acne before either, though), I have no mood swings and no spotting. My energy level is the same as before I took the pill. I have no weight gain either. Overall, I am very pleased with this pill. In the past, I have taken Orthotricyclen, and it made me slightly nauseous, and I had some light spotting if I took a pill later than usual. I hope this review helps someone. Just keep in mind everyone is different, and their body reacts differently to BC pills."

For Birth Control "The first time I started using birth control, I started on a different pill, which I can't remember the name of, but stopped after the second month due to crazy mood swings and worse cramps during my period. When I went back to the doctor, I got prescribed Sronyx, and I have been using it for three months now, and I have yet to experience a bad side effect. I love this pill! I highly recommend it. No headaches, cramps, or mood swings."

For Birth Control "So I am 30 years old, two kids. Never been on BCP before. I got on it to make sure not to get pregnant as I am content with just having two kids. I have only been on it for two weeks, and it has been horrible. Been nauseous and have been having severe headaches, which I never get, and to top it off, oh boy, I have been emotional! Has not been fun at all. Figure I'll try it for a little longer, but if these symptoms continue, I will not be able to handle feeling like this every day."

For Birth Control "With Lutera, I had a good experience. I had light but regular periods. My only complaint was I got horrible headaches right before my period and during my period. My cramps were tolerable, if at all. I did not notice any weight gain, and my moods were pretty regular. I only switched to something different because the headaches were too much, and I got a new doctor, and she said that there were too many hormones in this and lowered my dose of estrogen with a different birth control."

For Birth Control "Alesse was the first type of birth control I've ever taken, and I experienced many negative side effects. When I first started it, I had severe back pain, headaches, and mood swings. After a week or two, these symptoms subsided, but I began to feel depressed-this feeling went on for about a month and worsened whenever I drank alcohol. In total, I was on this pill for two cycles before I decided to switch. That being said, everyone is different! If Alesse doesn't work for you, there are probably others that will."

For Birth Control "So, recently I got switched off from Aviane, which was the best birth control ever! Because I moved out of province, they didn't carry Aviane, so they put me on Alesse. I'm going on 21 years old, I'm 5'3, and I've never passed 115 pounds using Aviane. Using Alesse, I have gained almost 10 pounds in the last few months of use! This birth control has worsened my acne, caused me severe headaches, worsened my abdominal pain throughout and off my period, heavy bloating, worsened my constipation, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, and rather than 5 days, my periods are 7-9. I'm glad this birth control suits most of you ladies on here, for myself, it has been the worst! Obviously not for every woman, definitely not for me! Looking to switch ASAP!"

For Birth Control "I was prescribed this medication shortly after my abortion (sadly). Normally in the past, I don't have major side effects of birth control, but Chateal birth control I did. First off, this birth control gives you the same exact symptoms of pregnancy: back aches, acne, nausea, fatigue, etc. I have been on this birth control for about 3 weeks now, and I had to QUIT. Please do not take this birth control. I have HORRIBLE nausea that lasts me all throughout the day, it is horrible. Also, my back aches are really bad as well. I had to take a pregnancy test. The acne I got from this was horrifying. Usually, I have pretty nice skin, and I RARELY get acne, but this made me break out on my whole face :( All together, this is not worth taking, I would DEFINITELY use condoms over this. Also, this medication causes me SEVERE anxiety as well and headaches! Please do not take this medication."

For Birth Control "Background: 18-year-old, 5'4", 115 pounds, and works out regularly. Overall, I think it is good. I've always had clear skin, so acne wasn't a problem at all. PROS: super light periods that only last about 5 days (sometimes so light I can't even put a tampon in), no weight gain, no acne, no pregnancies, lol. CONS: discharge (fairly quite significant amount), backaches, and sometimes I get moderate to severe headaches. Overall, I would recommend this form of birth control. One thing I did notice: I don't get my period until 4 days after I finish the birth control packs. Is that normal? Considering some people get it at the same time every month and/or the day after they finish the pills."

For Birth Control "I was scared with the reviews at first, but I actually love Aviane birth control. I had some side effects when I first started like headache and some mild dizziness, but that went away within the first week. I had some very mild spotting after the headaches and dizziness went away, but that also went away quickly. The previous pill that I was on before this gave me weekly panic attacks that ruined my life. I thought I had panic disorder at some point due to how bad it was and could barely leave the house. After I switched a month ago, I had no panic attacks ever since. My agoraphobia from that also seemed to go away. Now I'm able to get out of the house a lot more often. My anxiety has greatly reduced, and my resting heart rate is back to normal because of it."

For Birth Control "I'm 6 weeks into this pill. I have PMDD and treat it with other medication, but it makes me sad and depressed even with the other medication. The anxiety is through the roof. This pill makes me so tired. I also have horrible night sweats every night. I also can't sleep. The insomnia is awful. Headaches every day. I have spent the last month trying to figure out what my deal was, and it's this awful pill. I thought I may have had another condition. The idea of 4 periods a year is amazing, but this pill just isn't worth it. I am stopping this pill ASAP and hoping that everything returns to normal in a few days. Oh, and the fact that I have completely lost my sex drive! Yeah, that sucks too. I just want to sleep and not sweat at night."
