For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Started spotting 3rd week starting Seasonique generic Camrese. Bleeding was very minimal, spotting the first week. But I am now on my 9th day and started passing clots. My periods before starting Seasonique were at most 5-6 days long. I've never in my life experienced bleeding for so long. I started this BC in hopes of not having so many periods, and since I was very irregular, I wanted to control it. The only thing so far I've experienced is more bleeding! I'm getting married in 3 months. What am I supposed to do if this bleeding doesn't stop?! Does anyone have suggestions? Otherwise, I'm thinking of just stopping altogether."

For Birth Control "I've been on Seasonique for 6 months, and for the first three months, it worked as it was supposed to, despite some spotting. Now, however, I have an appointment to change it, as for the last 40 days I have had a non-stop period. Not simply spotting, but continuous bleeding. This is not the birth control for me."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started this drug because I have painful cramps and pretty heavy periods, and also I have symptoms of PMDD. On the first month, my boobs got a bit swollen and tender, and I had less depression, which was cool. The 2nd month was cool, other than occasional spotting. Then on the 3rd month, I made the mistake of forgetting my daily pill, and my period started, and it’s been happening for about 7 days so far, and there’s no sign of it stopping. The cramps are bearable, though, my flow isn’t as heavy either, but I still have some depressive symptoms and mood swings, but it’s not as bad as before I took this drug. I don’t think it’s terrible, though, and I would take it again since it did reduce my cramps."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Love this! I have been on this pill for years now, and it is amazing. I used to have heavy bleeding and horrible cramps, and this pill has stopped it for me. Due to being anemic and having endometriosis, I am set to have my period every 6 months, and I never spot in between. This pill is definitely for people whose body can handle going long-term without a menstrual period. And you have to follow directions, taking the pill at the same exact time every day and never missing a pill. It's the only way it will work properly."

For Birth Control "Like most women today, irregular periods are a headache... so I talked to my doctor about birth control options, and we decided to try Teva, aka Seasonique... worst decision I have made regarding medication. First 2-3 days on the pill were normal, after that, it was absolute hell. Spotting consistently, very moody-ready to take my boyfriend's head off for no reason, migraines that make it hard to function, and fatigue from another world! I stopped this birth control 2 days ago, all the symptoms aside from the spotting are gone. I would not recommend this birth control to my worst enemy. Please discuss other birth control options with your doctor and read other reviews! Always important to listen to your body, do not ignore it!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Worst BC I've ever taken. I thought it would be nice to be able to skip my period, so my doctor prescribed me this. I get breakouts bad, worse than if I'm not even on BC. I also get spotting and full-blown periods way before the inactive pills. I'm on the 3rd pack, 1st week, and having my period. I ordered new BC, hopefully, it comes soon. I wouldn't recommend this BC at all."

For Birth Control "My first two months on it were not really good - I had constant spotting since 2 weeks from the start, and I was quite moody and sensitive. The only good thing was my acne cleared up. Then I missed one pill on accident and got a full-blown period in 2 days, and I was like - nope, that's it, I give up, but my ob-gyn told me, 'try to finish the box and then if it continues the same with the 2nd box we can try something else,' and boy, am I glad I did. After that 'period,' spotting never returned, the box is finished, moodiness is gone, skin is still clear, and my scheduled period was completely painless for the first time in my life. So I'm super happy with it now."

For Birth Control "This is the only birth control I've been on, and I have been on this now for four years. What a lifesaver. I have hardly any cramps at all. I had to stop taking this for a little bit because I was spotting."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have fibroids that cause very heavy and painful periods. I was prescribed this medication after declining Depo-Lupron (the shot). Things started out fine the first few weeks, but then I started spotting (which I was told was normal), but then spotting turned into a period. I'm now on the 3rd pack and will have to finish it at the request of my doctor, and not a day has gone by that I haven't bled. This pill did not work for me."

For Birth Control "I've been on Seasonique/generics for 4+ years. I've never had any major issues with them. I take the 3-month contraceptive to avoid withdrawal bleeding (I'm not sexually active). Side effects I've experienced are spotting maybe once or twice all these years and abdominal pain frequently. Unfortunately, it doesn't do much for me once I go through withdrawal bleeding, it's still very painful, like my period before I started. But it at least reduces the number of times I get it. I recommend it if you are considering this for period pain/frequency."

For Birth Control "I took this pill because I wanted fewer and lighter periods. I have had no side effects when I take it properly. I did not experience any weight gain, and my sexual drive was not affected. However, like with any pill, misusing it has consequences. There have been times where I have forgotten to take it with me on trips, and the cramping was unpleasant and usually resulted in light spotting. That’s pretty much par for the course, though. Wish it was cheaper."

For Birth Control "This pill has really worked for me! I don’t get any side effects, and my skin looks really great. I’ve been on two other pills, and they caused me to break out, have continuous spotting, and worsened my depression. Seasonique just works really well with my body!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Switched from the depo shot to Seasonique after my sophomore year of college. My doctor said I would have one week of bleeding at the end of each pack. But for some reason, I end up spotting heavily the whole third month, with a heavier period during the 'bleed week.' I am very consistent with the time I take it and I don't miss a day. But yet, I'm still stuck with a month-long period. Not sure if I should switch birth control methods because of this. The only reason I was sold on Seasonique was because I was expecting one normal period once every 3 months."

For Birth Control "I've been on Seasonique for over a year. For the first six months, I had non-stop spotting, which made sex embarrassing. But I have endometriosis and thought having no pain outweighed the spotting. Now I have two new problems: I am overweight by 15 lbs and can't lose the weight even though I work out 4 times a week and eat very healthy. I have also lost all my sex drive! At this point, I am thinking of going back to my gyno and finding another solution. The cons far outweigh the pros for me."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started this pill a week before my first period was due because we were going on a holiday. About a week before we were leaving and still in the first pack, I started spotting brown. It’s now day 13, and it’s getting heavier with clots, and I’m in Mexico with my family and can’t do anything! This sucks!!! I should have just gone with a normal birth control, and I would have been fine. Or just allowed my period to come while on holiday for the last 2 days."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Seasonique pretty much since it first came out about 7 years ago, and I've never had any spotting or negative side effects at all. My period usually starts the Friday after I start the inactive pills and is completely over within 3 days. I have always had awful cramps and mood swings, and the Seasonique doesn't help much with those, but it's not so bad when it's only 4 times a year. Overall, this pill is amazing. It used to be pretty expensive, but now it's only $20 with my insurance. Split over 3 months, that is really cheap!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking Seasonique for almost 9 months now. The first month is fine, I don't get my period or any bleeding or any other side effects. As soon as the second month is almost over, I start spotting, and I don't stop spotting until I receive my period at the end of the 3rd month. I spot for months straight, and it's actually ridiculous. This pill is very expensive, and it's only supposed to give 4 periods a year, yet all I do is bleed. The spotting is little to no blood, which is very annoying. My sex drive is non-existent, which ultimately makes being on the pill completely pointless."

For Birth Control "Been on Seasonique for about 5 years, switched me to Ashlyna 3 years ago. The first 3 months, I recall feeling nauseous and having intermittent spotting, I almost stopped taking the darn thing. After reading reviews to wait it out, I can say I'm so glad I did. I no longer have periods, even on my off week. I'm told it's normal, and my uterus is fine. I'm no longer building a lining for potential pregnancy that needs to be shed every month. This birth control has leveled out my emotions, I no longer get the moodiness I once did every month. I have gained weight, about 5 lbs or so. Is it my pill or my age? Who could say? I'm not about to stop taking it to find out, though. Lol!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Seasonique for 3 months. I had been spotting every day since I started using it, and I had a full-blown period 2 weeks after starting to use it. I love the fact that I only get my period every 3 months, but the spotting is not much better. I notice that I get really angry sometimes for no reason, and I feel sad and depressed. It also made me gain 15 lbs, which is making me a bit stressed out. I talked to my doctor, and she said since I'm just starting this medication, my body has to get used to it. I think I'm going to wait 3 more months to see how my body adjusts to it. Also, I take my pill at the same time every day on the dot, so my spotting is not caused by missing doses or taking it at different times."

For Birth Control "Seasonique was prescribed to me by my doctor because, after years on Alesse, I started experiencing light spotting about a week before my scheduled period. I also had low iron, so my doctor prescribed Seasonique to defer my periods. As soon as I started taking this medication, my waist appeared not as lean. I didn’t put on weight, but I’m experiencing water retention and bloat. My boobs are very sore; while they’ve gotten bigger, they’re not totally even, and the largeness sort of makes it a bit more obvious. My right boob needs to catch up, whomp whomp. With not having a period, I always think I’m pregnant. Six weeks in, and the hunger starts. I’m so hungry that I feel faint. I can pound back food without issue, and normal portions don’t fill me up. Also, I’m starting to feel nauseous despite taking it at bedtime."

For Endometriosis "I started Seasonique in September of last year. The first 3-month pack worked awesome for me, my acne cleared up, my cramps from endometriosis diminished, and I only had 1 period in 3 months with no breakthrough bleeding or spotting. However, in week 5 of my second pack, I started spotting, and a week after that, I was bleeding like a regular menstrual cycle. Also, my cramps became more severe, and I developed tremendous pain in my lower back. I have been bleeding for the past 6 weeks since I first noticed the spotting, and my cramps have come back in full force. After reading some of the reviews on this website, I feel a little better, but I suppose my case is a rare and extreme reaction because I haven't seen anything too close in comparison."

For Birth Control "I've been using this product for four years. Anyone who is concerned about spotting and immediately switches is just being impatient. It's not easy for your body to be programmed to have a period monthly and then switch in an instant to every three months. You will have spotting for the first two to three cycles, but it will go away! You must be patient and give your body time to adjust. There are so many versions of this available now: Seasonique, Seasonale. If one isn't working for you because you feel as though it's giving you worse cramps, acne, etc., try another brand. I have not experienced worse acne, and my periods are shorter and less painful. Remember, your life changes-just because your acne got worse doesn't mean it was automatically your birth control."

For Birth Control "So, I was on this birth control from 2014 to 2017, and I LOVED it. I went through many trials and errors before finding that this medication didn’t cause me any awful side effects. Others I tried made me secretly nauseous to the point of not being able to keep anything down, lightheadedness, headaches. I raved and raved about this birth control! My doctor recommended that I stop due to an autoimmune disease that I was suspected to have. I stopped for one year and recently got back on it and just finished my first three months. This time was a completely different experience for me, and I am SO confused. Terrible spotting, ACNE (I have never had acne in my life), spotting heavily, along with a heavy period, which is why I am on this BC to begin with primarily. I realized that the manufacturer is Mylan, and before I don’t know exactly what brand, but it was in a bright green case, and those worked great for me. Can’t figure out what manufacturer that was or if it makes a difference."

"I have been taking Seasonique for 2 months now. The symptoms I noticed within the first month were increased appetite and weight gain (approx. 5 lbs) and mood swings, mainly crying excessively. During the middle of the second month, I felt severe abdominal discomfort that felt like period cramps with nausea, and the next morning I noticed spotting, which has continued for 2 weeks so far. I find this very inconvenient as it has lasted longer than a normal period. Also, my complexion has been getting progressively worse, and I have been feeling stressed and overwhelmed more easily. I am going to continue through the last month and switch if I don't notice any improvement."

For Birth Control "I never know when my period is going to be on this pill. I get spotting twice a month sometimes. Currently, I am on one of the heaviest periods I've ever been on, and there is so much uterine lining that I'm thinking it's from past periods that were just from those random spottings, maybe supposed to be periods. It's so horrible. I've been on this pill for over 6 months and have bled way too much in that period of time."
