For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Update time!! After 4 months of bleeding daily, my period finally regulated and stopped! I’m on my 2nd pack and halfway through and have only had occasional cramps and spotting, but not until recently. I started the pill in September and bled until late December. All of January was finally great, and only now into February am I having light spotting and cramps, but definitely not the bleeding and not the pad wearing that I had for 4 months, a bleeding nightmare. If you hang in there, it eventually does regulate and stop the period!! :)"

For Birth Control "I've been on this for 2 weeks now, and the only side effects I've experienced are very mild nausea, very light spotting, and mild cramps. This birth control is definitely appealing to me because I hate having my period."

For Birth Control "Started Seasonique about a year and a half ago. Had some spotting for the first six months, and then it tapered off. The first period I had on it was excruciatingly painful. Felt like I was constantly getting stabbed. The first time I felt those cramps, I dropped to the floor for a bit. I decided to weather it out and continued taking the pill. Worked great for about a year, but then started getting random spotting that lasted for 3 weeks. Have switched to another BCP now. As far as I know, it worked pretty well at preventing pregnancy. I took it around the same time every day. I never really missed any days, so I can't relay any experiences about that."

For Birth Control "I've been on the Teva pill for a week, and so far, I've been experiencing nausea, cramps, headaches, and general fatigue. I told myself I'd give it a month because it was intended to help me with my bad menstrual cycle, but I don't know if I'll be able to go on like this. I can barely function. I've been experiencing waves of depression too. If I continue to use it, I'll give an update, but it isn't looking so great right now."

For Birth Control "I will NEVER take this again. I just started taking it, and everything was fine, and I loved it. I got to about halfway through my second month, and all hell broke loose. I had the WORST period I had ever had. I never had cramps or heavy bleeding until this pill. I continuously had blood clots and wouldn't stop bleeding for over a month. I kept taking it until my 3rd month, and after that, it still continued. No stopping. So I stopped taking it, and then had an even worse period and had to go to the doctor due to bleeding an abnormally high amount. NEVER again."

"I'm 32 yrs old, mom of 2, never been on birth control before. Started Seasonique 5 months ago in hopes of having just 4 periods a year (hubby can't have more kids). Some friends take it and are happy with it. I started taking it the 1st day of my period and bled for about 2 weeks past when it should have stopped. Excited when I thought I was done, but then it started up again. Basically been bleeding on and off (mostly on) since then, with very few days of relief and clotting. Usually minimal spotting, but enough for me to want to avoid sex. Side effects I've noticed have been hair loss, no sex drive at all, dryness when sex does happen, cramping, no weight gain, moody, enlarged breasts. Just stopped. Can't take it anymore. Rather bleed 1 week a month."

For Birth Control "I am 17 years old and have been on Seasonique for almost 6 months. I'm just finishing my second pack, and I haven't had any crazy problems. I had migraines during the first pack and some spotting and slightly off discharge. But this second time around has been alright, other than the slight pressure cramping often happening. And I just had my first migraine today. I can't comment on sexual experiences because I haven't been there yet, but as far as everyday things, it works great. Hope this helps!"

For Birth Control "I was on Seasonique for the past 4+ years. I absolutely loved it. I never spotted in between periods or had any other problems. Before I started, I had some minor breakouts, but once on the pill, my face cleared up completely. The only change I did have was prior to Seasonique, I never cramped with any of my periods, and while on the pill, I had moderate/severe cramping for the first few days of all my periods. Now my husband and I are trying to conceive, and I have been off the pill for almost the last two months, and I'm still waiting for my first period to start. I have been told this is normal once leaving any birth control."

"I have been on Seasonique for 3 years. At first, I had no problems with the pill. Recently, I have noticed an extreme change in my body. I have severe mood swings along with depression. I have also had severe cramps and breakthrough bleeding. For as long as I can remember, I have not had a sex drive, which is not good being newly married. It's almost to the point where I do not want to be touched at all. My legs ache all of the time no matter what I am doing, and I have gained around 10 lbs. I have always had bad periods, and it has helped a little but not enough to continue to stay on this pill. I am now asking myself why I have stayed on this pill for so long."

For Birth Control "I have been on Seasonique for over a year now, and it has not given me any serious problems. No acne, no weight gain, no abnormal bleeding. However, I have experienced weird cravings, and if you are forgetful, expect to start breakthrough bleeding for a while. My periods always last 3 to 4 days with no excessive bleeding, but the past 2 periods I have had cramps for the first time I have been on it, not severe, and they go away fast, but they are still there. One more complication is that I have a very decreased sex drive, but that's not a very big deal for me, but may be for other women. Overall, I have good experiences with Seasonique and no severe problems."

For Birth Control "I started Seasonique to cut down on periods, cramping, and help with PMS. The bleeding (light) and cramping (mild) began the 2nd week I started Seasonique. Basically, I have been bleeding for (4) weeks straight (enough to have to wear a pad every day). I called the Seasonique manufacturer, and she told me to call my doctor. I had to beg my doctor to put me on Seasonique in the first place because of the good things I had heard about it. Also, I don't have insurance and had to go through a lot of red tape to get it. I guess I'll just stop taking it. Previously, my periods were getting heavier and PMS worse (I am 41). I'm not worried about getting pregnant, I just don't want to suffer. I took Loestrin 1.5/30 back in my 20s and had almost no periods, and it worked great. I don't even know if it exists anymore. Now, my period is all screwed up (it used to come on the same day each month)."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Seasonique for about 4 weeks and have been experiencing some bleeding for about 7 days now, with some cramping. My spotting went away for a day but came right back. I will stick it out for a few more days, but if it persists for over another week, I'm going to stop taking them. I got on the pill to not have a period."

For Birth Control "I had been through many forms of birth control. Then I tried Seasonique. The doctor warned me it could take 6-9 months to get regular, so I stuck it out through breakthrough bleeding every other week, and boy do I regret it. After one year, I finally became regular, but then I had many muscle spasms, mood swings, cramps, mild headaches, and a TOTAL LACK OF MY SEX DRIVE and no lubrication during sex. Even though I took my pill at exactly 9:15 every morning, one day (after over 20 months of being on it), I was two hours late and I had a two-week period when I was still on the active pills. I have chosen to switch to Loestrin 24. It's been a few months and so far I am back to my normal self."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started Seasonique because I had heavy periods that lasted 7 days and got worse after I had my daughter. I started bleeding, just spotting, and didn't really think much of it. My midwife told me to continue, and it should last long. I am now on day 20 of bleeding, and it's been like a normal period with lots of cramping. I will be discontinuing today as I can't take the side effects anymore!!"

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I tried Seasonique for a month and 3 weeks because it was recommended by a relative, not blood related. It worked for her but I do not think it worked for me. My experience was nausea in the first two weeks, but nothing too bad. Several weeks in, even though I was eating less, I actually gained a few lbs, I believe it is water. I also experienced throbbing in my legs, tightness in my back, headaches, lower abdominal cramping (way more than usual), and sometimes chest pain, and an overall feeling of heaviness. I stopped taking it due to worrisome side effects being the throbbing and bloating just in case. I have never had a problem with water retention before. I have PCOS, so I am used to feeling unwell with some of those things in particular, but I think Seasonique heightened them. The benefits were less hair loss, less cravings, but not worth the bloat. I hope this medication works for others, I am going to try YAZ next due to it having a different chemical compound."

For Birth Control "I have been on Seasonique for 3 months now. I recently started to have light breakthrough bleeding and cramps (which I had almost NEVER gotten before). My acne is semi-normal for my young age. Maybe it's a little more severe than usual, but not much. I started reading all the reviews because I was worried about my bleeding and cramps. My side effects are nowhere NEAR as bad as some people's. I still suggest this birth control for anybody thinking about it. It has been AMAZING not having to worry about my period!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Seasonique was the second pill I tried after having breakthrough bleeding issues with the first. I take it for protection and because my regular periods are horrible. I’m about to finish my first pack and so far it’s not been good. I first had breakthrough bleeding around the time I would’ve normally gotten my period if I weren’t on the pill. The bleeding was pretty close to what my period would be like and it stopped after 5-7 days. This happened again after a month, right when I’d get my period again. It started out as spotting that I only really needed a panty liner for (and I was warned about spotting by my doctor). After a few days I needed a pad. It’s been that way ever since. I’ve been bleeding nonstop for a month and one week now. I’m currently taking antibiotics to try to stop the bleeding, as recommended by my doctor. It’s honestly torture. The cramps never go away, I’ve gone through so many menstrual products, and it’s just overall really stressful."

For Birth Control "I was previously on Mirvala consistently for 3 months on, 1 week off to help treat my endometriosis symptoms. That worked for about 2.5 years, when everything started going downhill (breakouts, painful breakthrough bleeding, continuous spotting, painful sex, low libido). My GP had me switch to Indayo (Seasonique). I thought, what the heck, give it a go. 2 years in, and I still get a full breakthrough period halfway through the pills, random cramps all the time, nonexistent libido, the works. I finally went back to my gyno for my second surgery for endo, and he said that's insane that my GP has kept me on Seasonique with these side effects for so long (my GP just kept saying, 'yeah, that will happen for a while until your body gets used to it.'). I'm now being switched to Lolo - let's see how that goes. Not that I wouldn't recommend it, but listen to your body if the side effects are too much to manage. It would have been awesome if it worked as intended, but it didn't for me."

For Birth Control "I am on just Day 2 and I cramp and feel nauseated. I take them at night now to see if I could sleep those symptoms away, but no luck. It's morning time and I feel cramps and bloated. Anyway, it's Day 2 and I paid $$$ for this thing...wonder if I should chuck it or just deal with it."

For Birth Control "I've been on Seasonique for a year now and absolutely love it. The only things that I've experienced are a little bit of cramping around the time I would normally have a period, but nothing too bad. I have gotten a little more emotional since being on the pill and have had a small acne issue around my jawline, which I had never had before, but nothing that bad. My sex drive did go down a bit in the first couple of months, but then I was back to normal. I highly recommend Seasonique to anyone who's considering it for birth control. I mean, you can't beat only four periods a year."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started this birth control 2 weeks after my period ended as that’s just how it timed out, and the doctor said it would be fine and I shouldn’t have another period. I started my period again literally the 3rd day of the pill, and I haven’t stopped. This has been one of the most painful periods of my life! I have been passing clots the entire time, and at about 2 weeks of bleeding, I thought it was going to be the end of me with all this pain and then passed a decidual clot! The scariest thing I’ve ever seen. My doctor asked me to keep taking it and said I should stop bleeding after the decidual clot. I continued to bleed and pass more clots (HOW!?) and my doctor finally said to stop taking it. I’m now at day 5 since quitting and still bleeding, cramping, passing clots. Not to mention this made me PMDD over the top, I was suicidal, I sabotaged my living arrangements and long-time friendships and nearly tanked my job. I’ve been living in a nightmare for a month."

For Birth Control "Seasonique is the absolute worst birth control ever. I have been spotting for two weeks. I chose this birth control to control the heaviness of my periods, however, I cannot say that it has made my periods any better. I would rather just have my period for 5-6 days and have cramping rather than go through with spotting for two weeks with cramps. I'm definitely going to my doctor to change my birth control."

For Birth Control "Took it for a day and instantly broke out in hives. Woke up the next day and started crying hysterically and had the worst cramps in the world. As a first birth control, this was very hard."

For Birth Control "I am on my 3rd pack, and I would rather have a period once a month than deal with everything else. The first pack was great, no side effects and no period. Once I got to the second pack, I have had horrible mood swings, and I just start crying for no reason. My lower back and my stomach cramp up, I get bad headaches, and I am tired all the time."
