For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been taking Seasonale for 2 months, and I had to stop in month 3. The side effects were awful! I had night sweats, waking up at 4 a.m. every morning for no reason, lots of spotting, a huge appetite with weight gain, and severe depression and anxiety. The depression and anxiety were the worst! I do suffer from depression and anxiety, but it's not as bad as this medication made it! I stopped taking it, and about 4 days later, I felt so much better. Now I'm having a cycle, and it's been over a week now, hoping it will end sometime soon."

For Birth Control "I am 26 and otherwise perfectly healthy. I quit Seasonale after two months when I discovered my blood pressure had become very high (164/112). I had also been experiencing neck pain, a pressured feeling that seemed to be in my veins, which would alternate from one side of my neck to the other since the second or third week of taking this pill. I was sent for many tests and found that one of my kidneys was mildly swollen (hydronephrosis). It took six weeks for my blood pressure to normalize, it would go down and then back up again. I was very concerned, anxious, and depressed. I took hypertension medication for about two weeks as well and was eventually able to lower my dosage and then stop it altogether."

For Birth Control "I've been on Seasonale for about a month now, and only have positive things to say! I've got bipolar II and multiple anxiety disorders, so birth controls can be tricky. I was on Loestrin Fe for a while, and that didn't seem to do much. I then switched to the Nexplanon implant, and that caused some of the worst anxiety I have ever experienced. I switched to Nikki after that, and that, again, did not help my existing anxiety. I found out that progestin does not mesh well with me. Seasonale has two different types of estrogen in it, which is why my OB-GYN put me on it. I've struggled with gaining weight my whole life, and now all of a sudden I'm a healthy body weight, and my anxiety has been as low as it can be with my existing conditions. I haven't had any breakthrough bleeding, headaches, or nausea. I finally feel like myself again! It's also been helping significantly with some minor hormonal acne."

For Birth Control "I was on the Seasonale pill for three or four days when I had one of the most horrendous breakdowns ever. I couldn’t stop crying and screaming - my poor fiancé! My anxiety was out of this world. I would wake up in the middle of the night for a few hours with raging anxiety. I finally couldn’t take it anymore and stopped taking it. Two days later, I felt like myself again. Guess it’s going to be no glove, no love!? Lol"
