"I’ve been taking this birth control for about 3 months and noticed I would be constantly anxious or depressed. I found myself without a drive to do anything, whether it be to have sex or simply go out. It also made sex painful when I would go dry while enjoying it. It did help with cramps and made my period lighter, except for my spotting about a week before. No pregnancies, and periods were better."

"I started taking Aubra about a month and a half ago, but had to stop mid-pack due to the side effects. I had no side effects and felt great except for minor mood swings during the whole first month. By the time I started the second pack, I began to have chest pain and extreme nausea. I could barely eat and had such bad anxiety all day I couldn't leave my house. I had to miss 4 days of work and almost went to the ER every night because of how bad I felt. I had no control over my body and had to stop taking them just to live a normal life again. It got to the point I couldn't even make it to my doctor's appointment due to my anxiety."

"I am 5'4", 150 lbs. I've been on Aubra for almost 2 months. Haven't had a pregnancy scare and cramps/bloating are lessened, so that's good. However, I am having issues with large single pimples. They aren't really a cluster of acne. These large single pimples are more like mini welts. They're under the skin and painful when touched. There is no pus or anything, so it's not like you can 'pop' them. I'm getting them on my neck and chest as well as on my upper back and shoulders. It's summer, and I'm forced to wear uncomfortable turtlenecks and high necklined shirts to cover them. Foundation is not enough to cover these beasts :/. I wish I could upload a photo for you all to see. I thought birth control was supposed to help you NOT break out :/. My diet has not changed in 5 years, and I started drinking much more water. I also have resorted to using medicated acne wash once a day and daily acne spray three times a day. They have gone down in size, but are still there. NOT CUTE!"

"I took Aubra for a little over 2 years. My doctor made me make the switch because I had a blood pressure reading that was too high, so she switched me to a POP pill. I wish I never did! Aubra was a godsend, and now I am miserable on this new pill (Lyza). With Aubra, I had regular periods that lasted maybe 3 days, no acne, weight loss, or weight gain. I had some mood swings, slight tenderness in my breasts now and then, and they also grew a size or so-no big deal. But I never experienced cramps, headaches, or any symptoms of nausea! I had it good with Aubra, but... everyone is different! I am going to see if I can switch back. Overall, I would recommend this pill to those who are more sensitive to hormone pills."

"I've tried other BCPs before this one, and they made me more emotional than this one. I would be hysterical, and with Aubra, I felt more like myself. It definitely had its cons, but the fact that it didn't give me emotional panic attacks like my previous BCPs, it wins. I really like this one. Pros: For me, less emotional and lighter periods. Effective in preventing pregnancy. Cons: Nausea, I was told to take my pills at night for this reason. And most nights, I don't feel this symptom. Less sex drive."

"Okay, I would like to start off by saying that everybody's body is different, and everyone reacts to things differently. Personally, I really like this birth control! I have always had an irregular period. I could literally go months without having a period, and this fixed that. On top of that, it has made my skin so much more clear than it already was, and I'm not pregnant, so that's all good! I didn't experience any weight gain. I did have some mood swings, but that's basically it. So 10/10 would recommend."

"This pill gave me the worst acne I have ever experienced. I never really had skin problems until I began taking this. I have been on it for 3 months, and it has not gotten any better. The only thing this is good for is pregnancy prevention. I'm switching brands because my skin looks terrible from this."

"This is the worst birth control method to take, especially if you have depression. I took this pill for 6 months and had nothing but breakthrough bleeding and even worse depression symptoms. I most definitely wouldn't recommend."

"I'm 33, w/no kids. I've been on a couple of different types of BC before, but I think this one has been the worst. Started taking these pills because I was cramping a lot during my period, and they were heavier than usual. It was fine for the first 3 months, w/little to no side effects, my periods even seemed less painful and lighter. 6 months later, I've noticed that I'm super emotional/sad, periods are inconsistent, 1 month it's heavy w/breakthrough bleeding for about 4-5 days, spotting for about 2 weeks before and/or even after my period. The next month, I may not bleed much at all, and the cramping hasn't decreased. I've also noticed an increase in the frequency of bad headaches and a lack of energy. Wouldn't recommend Aubra, but everyone is different."

"Just finishing up my second pack, just got my period after being two months late. I had a little spotting Saturday, no pain. Sunday, a little more blood, severe pain like never before. Monday, back pain was insane, and my cramps hurt so bad I ended up in the ER. Today is day three, and my cramps are horrible, as well as back pain. I read comments it's just your body adjusting, but man, I have never had this pain before, it's the absolute worst! The first two weeks, I took mine every day at 7:30 a.m. I noticed it made me so nauseous like never before, so now I take it every day at 11:30 after I have eaten food, and that really helped. I will say it did control my acne, and it does make me eat a little bit more than usual, however, my cramps are so bad I'm thinking of getting off them."

"I've been on Aubra for the past year. I didn't have any symptoms that I know of. It has cleared up my acne drastically. I used to get huge pimples on my forehead, right between my eyes, and it wouldn't go away, even after months of acne face wash and spot treatments. I also used to get a huge one on my chin. I still get a little bit of acne, but not nearly as bad as before. I take it every morning at 7 a.m. My periods used to be irregular and would come every other month for the most part, and sometimes three months. They have been more regular and lighter than before. Pros for me: prevents pregnancy, reduces acne, makes period lighter, period is more regular. Cons: have cramps during period more often than before, somewhat lessened sex drive."

"I hate Aubra! It has been effective in preventing pregnancy, which is obviously the great part. However, my sex drive has drastically decreased, I've been cramping since week 2, I've been extremely emotional, and now I've been menstruating longer than usual (it has always been 3-4 days, now I'm on day 6). My appetite has definitely increased, especially closer to my menstruating. I'm just not enjoying this birth control at all! I will not be starting a new pack!"

"I started Aubra, and it had the same dose of estrogen and progestin. I noticed the first weeks I was very emotional. I cry over a lot of things because I'm just naturally a sensitive person, but the first two weeks were pretty sad. My period either lasted 5 days with heavy to light bleeding or a week with moderate bleeding. I never break out, and when I do, it's once every blue moon. As for weight gain, that's natural when taking birth control. The first time I gained 10 pounds, but I am also an active person and go to the gym daily, so I lost it pretty quickly. I've been on Aubra for 3 years now. So far, no complaints, but definitely I would recommend giving it a little over a month to see if it's for you."

"I absolutely loved this BC. The first one I went on (probably the last too) and it's done wonders. I haven't gotten pregnant (woo!) and it cleared up all my acne! I have naturally very oily skin and break out right before I get my period, but on Aubra those annoying whiteheads went away. When I first started taking it, I found myself hungrier than usual and with an increased appetite, and I gained almost 10 lbs, but after the first few months my appetite curbed and went back to normal and I lost the weight. My boobs grew slightly and it helped regulate my period. My friend was also on Aubra but had to switch because it made her gain a lot of weight. Everyone's body reacts differently, but personally Aubra worked for me :^))"

"I’m only on day six, and I’ve been having extreme nausea. Throwing up and being very uncomfortable in my own body. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone. So far it hasn’t extremely affected my emotions, but I have been getting more upset over little things. Gonna stop taking birth control overall because I’ve tried three other brands before this one, but Aubra takes the cake for the rate of nausea I’ve been experiencing. Usually, the other brands would take about a month or two before I get extremely nauseous, but like I said, I’ve only taken six days' worth of pills before it started to affect me."

"No weight gain. Actually lost weight because this pill made my appetite smaller, and I get full faster. No acne, just broke out little bumps along the jawline, but no one can notice except me. I have crazy mood swings or depression like I got on other birth control pills. Regular period, no pain. First day light cramps, that's it. No spotting. Happy with this pill. Almost on my third pack."

"I am 18 years old, and I have been taking Aubra for a little over 2 months. So far, it has been working effectively since I have not gotten pregnant. The only problem I have with this birth control is it has made my acne worse! Everywhere else on my face is clear except for both sides of my cheeks, they are such bad breakouts. I've noticed them appear once I was on the pill for a while. I guess half a bottle of foundation to cover up my acne is better than having an unplanned pregnancy, so I guess I will have to live with the complications it comes with."

"I've been on Aubra for 3 years, and God, have I been patient with this! It started off good, I had no side effects at all, but then after 2 years, I started to have cramps every month. Two weeks prior to my period, I would get severe cramps and bloating. Sometimes my breasts would be tender and sore, and my legs felt so heavy and sore as well! The only good news from it is that I haven't gotten pregnant, and my skin glows! Now, after 3 years of taking it, I'm considering switching from it."

"I was on Lutera, but I changed doctors, and he only had Aubra, so I started taking that, and horrible, I bleed non-stop, and it gave me horrible cramps. Anytime my boyfriend and I had intercourse, it caused me to bleed even more, like I had my period again. Worst birth control ever, didn't agree with me, so I went back to my doctor and told him to give me a prescription for Lutera, and I just got my Lutera and started taking it. Already I feel better."

"This pill has been a painful experience. It is definitely effective because I haven't gotten pregnant or anything. At first, it was nice because my periods were lighter, and my cramps weren't too bad. But about 2 months into taking it, I realized I was always really emotional the day before my period, which I just chalked up to PMS. But then I found myself crying all the time over seemingly nothing, and it wasn't just simple tears, I was always close to having anxiety attacks. So far, there hasn't been a day or two that's passed where I wasn't crying over something. Physically, I didn't have any side effects, but emotionally, it really tore me up. I was depressed and felt empty. Switching off this pill ASAP."

"First time on birth control (BC) and I am relieved to not have had any major side effects after taking this BC for a month now. The first day I took it, I felt a little nauseous but switched to taking it before bed and now don't feel anything (even if I forgot the night before and have to take it in the middle of the day). I did get two pretty big pimples the first week but no physical changes besides that. I think I'm on my period now (end of first pack) but very, very light bleeding and no cramps."

"Received this birth control from Planned Parenthood, and shortly after taking it, I started to have night sweats every night. I also experienced a loss in libido and mood swings. Positives were that it cleared up my skin, and I didn't get pregnant."

"Aubra is the first BC I have ever been on. It started out great. Two months in, I started spotting, but by the third month, my period was back to normal and fairly light. Now, I’m noticing weight gain, bad mood swings, and terrible acne. My breasts have grown quite a bit but are constantly sore. My back also aches now as well. My mood swings are completely unpredictable, too. I go from being very irritable and angry to crying and depressed to laughing and happy all within one day. As far as birth control, it is doing its job very effectively, but the side effects are a lot."

"I have been on Aubra for 3 months now. Everything was going well until I decided I wanted to skip a period by skipping the sugar pills and going straight into a new pack. Instead, I ended up with a light period for 2 weeks and acne around my mouth and chin. I have never had acne my entire life until I got on the birth control. I called Planned Parenthood, where I got prescribed it, and they said it's normal and acne may last 3 months! I've decided today to get off of it, my face hurts from this acne, lol, and I do not recommend!"
