For Birth Control "This is by far the best birth control I’ve ever used. I was on Aubra (Aubra EQ) for about 2 1/2 years. Only stopped because I felt like my body needed a break. I used it to stop my periods and bled lightly for about 2 1/2 months from the first day I took it before there was no bleeding for the rest of the time I was on it. I had no side effects from this pill, but everybody is different. About to start taking it again! Good luck, everyone!"

For Birth Control "I've just barely started using Aubra EQ. I'm 19, and this is my first time on birth control, so I didn't really know what to expect. The only con that I have right now is bloating, and I'm still spotting and bleeding even though my period is over. I guess that is normal for every birth control, but I don't really know. And for anyone who is curious about where to find Aubra, I was prescribed Aubra EQ by the Planned Parenthood (PP Direct) app. I paid out of pocket ($25/mo. for 3 months), and they shipped it right to my house."

For Birth Control "First day on Aubra EQ. It started with a headache, I didn’t think much about it. The second day, I was sure that I must be sick with the flu (or COVID) because I not only had a headache but now was nauseous and feeling terrible. That night, I had a panic attack for no reason, really, all I can think is the BC. Throughout the week, I tried to give myself time to adjust because there were moments I was feeling OK. Yesterday was my last day taking it. Between the headaches, nausea, increase in my anxiety, and depression, I cannot even function. I do NOT recommend. Thinking about going back to NuvaRing, which I had no issues with in the past."

For Birth Control "This birth control was a disaster for my skin. I am 23 years old, and my skin has not looked this pimply since I was in middle school. Another downside to Aubra is the mood swings. There were many times when I was so irritable that I would just snap at people. I do not recommend Aubra EQ."

For Birth Control "This is going to be my third month using the pill. Honestly, I feel no drastic change other than the fact that my sex drive has gone down. This can be due to the pill but also because I’m constantly busy with my life. I haven’t experienced severe mood swings, but when I get close to my period, I do have constant cravings. It has helped regulate my period. My boobs feel slightly bigger, but maybe because I also feel like I have gained a little bit of weight, nothing too noticeable though. Will come back here later (maybe after 6 months if I’m still using it) with an update. Other than that, the pill is great. Doesn’t affect my acne, only downer as I mentioned was my sex drive."

For Birth Control "I took it for 3 years, and it was great. The last year, I had headaches constantly, sometimes 2-3 times a week. I stopped taking it, and the headaches stopped. I had thought my headaches were caused by lack of drinking water, stress, and an irregular sleep schedule. While on it, my period was super light, like 2 days regular, 2 days spotting, and no back pain. Before Aubra, it was 2 days regular, 3 days light, with back pain on the 1st day. Also, I felt like I became really dumb on Aubra. I hope it was temporary brain fog. I am going to try the diaphragm, no hormones for me. I also don't want anything implanted. It's insane when I hear of women who say after 2-4 months on their birth control, it's easy peasy. I refuse to feel sick for one day. How can I function and take care of my kids? Why is not wanting kids so complicated? Good luck to me. Good luck to everyone. Stay safe."

For Birth Control "My body got used to Aubra EQ super quick. I got my periods regular at the time that I should, even made my periods lighter. I had some mood swings here and there, but no other major side effects. However, after about 2 packs, I started getting horrible acne, and I never used to get acne. I gave it about another 4 months, and now I have the absolute worst acne of my life. Gonna try a different pill."

For Birth Control "I had the implant for a year, and I had the worst headaches, but I never gained weight. Then I switched to the Depo injection and gained so much weight over 3 months. I’ve been on this pill now for 2 months, and only the first two weeks were rough, but so far no baby, no weight gain, and only light spotting. I recommend this birth control."

For Birth Control "I have been on Aubra EQ for almost a year now. The first six months or so, I didn’t feel any changes at all, it didn’t help my acne, but it didn’t worsen it either. Today, almost a year later, I absolutely despise it. My periods are random but light, and it has affected my mood the most. I get waves of sadness that last for days. I find myself overthinking and crying myself to sleep over the smallest things. The first pill I ever got on, I loved it, it cleared my acne, I lost weight, and I felt fine. Sadly, they discontinued it, so the next one I got on worsened my acne, and now this one is fully messing with my mood, and I really want to switch to another one. However, everyone’s body is different, I just wanted to share my personal experience. It has prevented pregnancy, and my weight didn’t get affected, but I would love to be in control of my own emotions, and sadly, this pill has made it very difficult."

For Birth Control "I am on my first week of taking Aubra. I take it at night before I go to bed because I have a consistent night routine, and it's best to take your pills at the same time every day. After the first four days, I woke up with three cystic acne pimples on my jawline, but I usually just drink lots of water or tea and apply tea tree oil, and they go away. I also wake up with a weird headache feeling that goes away more towards the afternoon. I'm not much of an emotional person because I have a different perspective in life, so it doesn't affect my mood, but I would say that if you do have mood swings or depression, then you shouldn't start taking this until you're committed to working towards your mental health. Other than that, I don't have much to say because I've just started."

For Birth Control "I've been on Aubra EQ for almost a year. I wanted to stop after 3 months, but I thought I was going to get better with time. I began to feel very depressed during week 3 of the pill. During my period, I felt like myself again. Starting the new month pack again, I began to feel a bit of anxiety and constant worry about everything. After a year, I went back to my doctor and explained all my experience, I finally switched. I wish I didn't have to take birth control pills, and I wish I had tied my tubes. Wish me luck."

For Birth Control "I went from Skyla to Aubra EQ. I've been on this pill for about 5 days, and I started bleeding on the second day: light to medium spotting and like a period. I take it at night but wake up super hungry and nauseous. Also, feel very emotional. It is crazy how fast this pill has changed my body. I'm going to give it 3 months, and if it gets worse, I will find something new."

For Birth Control "I've been on Aubra EQ for a little over 3 months. I originally started taking it to help with any potential cysts or fibroids because I was having pain every day. It did clear that pain up, and I got more energy back when I was first taking it. Now, I can still feel the pain when sitting for too long, and I'm so tired. Keep in mind, I have diabetes, so the tiredness could be from that. I have pimples on my face that won't go away. I'm having TERRIBLE nightmares every night. My anxiety and depression are much worse. My face, vagina, and even my hair are so dry (which started after the birth control). Oh, and I'm much more tender on my head than I used to be, like I can't wear a ponytail as long as I used to. I really wish I was like the other women who thrived on this, but I'm not. Most of these are manageable, but the anxiety/depression and nightmares are starting to be too much to bear. Best of luck to anyone on this, but don't be discouraged. It could work great for you."

For Birth Control "I had stopped getting my period for 4 months before going on this, and it was my first time using BC. My period immediately started, and for the first 3 months I was on Aubra EQ, I had a very regular period the first week of the month, which was exactly 7 days. After those first 3 months, I became very irritable, found myself being angry much more, and extremely sad much more, and my periods became increasingly long until one lasted 3 weeks, and I decided to go off of Aubra. This is likely due to a hormonal imbalance in me from what I have researched, but beware if you have a similar situation!!!"

For Birth Control "I've been on Aubra EQ for three weeks now, and I hate it. First week, I had migraines every day, my boobs have been sore every day, and recently I've had terrible pain in my left boob. I have weird pelvic pain, usually on the left side. I'm moody and feel depressed. I've been breaking out a little more than usual, which is odd because I have clear skin a majority of the time. My sex drive has gone down a lot. Terrible."

For Birth Control "I took this pill for about two years, at first it was great, my periods were regular, no acne or weight gain. After a while, I noticed I would always have terrible migraines, I had to take migraine pills every day or I would not survive. I also always felt super anxious and sad. Planned Parenthood recommended this to me."

For Birth Control "I took Aubra EQ for a year after Planned Parenthood had changed it from the regular Aubra. It changed my mood dramatically for the first two months, and slowly it became better, but I was still sad for a lot of the time. I gained a few pounds. I also had a lower sex drive compared to when I was taking the other pill. I didn't want to be touched, and TMI, but I was dry there a lot of the time. But I didn't get acne, and I'm not pregnant."

For Birth Control "This is the first and only hormonal birth control I’ve taken. I was very anxious to start this birth control, and like other reviews I have read, I was also prescribed this at Planned Parenthood. I absolutely loathe this birth control. I have only taken it for 7 days, but I can’t take it any longer. My appetite has insanely increased, I’m having intense cravings, extreme mood swings, and have literal 0 energy. I have cried every day multiple times for the past 3 doses, and not to mention this is so unlikely. I cry maybe once every 3 months, and I am not a very emotional person. I don’t recommend this birth control, but I know hormones affect everybody differently. This is my experience."

For Birth Control "I'm just about 6 months on Aubra EQ, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I went to Planned Parenthood because of my irregular and painful periods and was recommended this. I was told I could skip the grey pill to basically nix my period for the duration of my taking this medication. I was told to expect spotting around my usual period time for the next couple of months until my body gets used to the hormones. Fast forward 4 months into the process, and I'm still bleeding. The pain is still there, the only difference is in the duration of the cycle and flow volume. These last two months I've been period-free, however, I started again three days ago. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I've tried to get in contact with PP with no success."

For Birth Control "I am in my 4th week of using Aubra EQ. A few things to mention are: this is my first time using birth control, I have a history of emotional instability and mood swings but not to a horrible extent. I am also in a hectic and stressful period as I am graduating soon and going off to college next year. The first 2 weeks I was incredibly emotional and jealous and constantly whining about how miserable I was to my boyfriend, and I would pick random fights over nothing out of nowhere. I also cried every day of my first week, and I felt very unmotivated and paranoid. The third week was better, and I was getting back to normal and I was happier than before. I had a minor breakdown the other day, but it subsided quickly and I was back to normal after about an hour and a half. I have gotten better emotionally since I started, but I have been getting more headaches and I am always tired and foggy. I do not think I have had a long enough trial period to write a proper review on this, but I say try it."

For Birth Control "I was on Aubra EQ for about 2 years while I didn't have a primary care doctor and relied on Planned Parenthood. They switched me from Alesse 28, which was great, and said that Aubra EQ was a comparable option, but I disagree. The first day I started taking it, I experienced significant anxiety to the point of tears, and I've noticed an overall increase in my anxiety and panic disorder since I've been on it. My libido has been way down, and combined with an increase in vaginal dryness, it hasn't been great for my sex life. The other major side effect is that it significantly increased my blood pressure to the point of being categorized as Stage 2 Hypertension. I now have a new doctor who has prescribed a lower-estrogen pill which I hope will work better. If you take this pill, be sure to get your blood pressure checked regularly and go see your doctor right away if it's high."

For Birth Control "I LOVE this birth control. Planned Parenthood shipped it directly to my school. I've been on it for almost 3 months and trust me with all birth controls, it takes time to get used to it. I have not gotten pregnant yet, but had a few scares because I realized I start one day after I take the different colored pills. Now I'm realizing that I start to get headaches around the time my pill is needed to be taken. I have been able to sleep better, and I still get discharge when my ovulation is supposed to be, which I don't like. But otherwise, I would recommend to everyone to try this birth control. Before this, I was so scared to gain weight, but I haven't! I'm under 100 pounds, 20 years old. I still eat regularly too (3 meals a day). Anyways, get this pill, girl!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Aubra EQ for about two months now. I do have mood swings every now and then and headaches, but other than that, no side effects. My period cramps improved so much! No weight changes or breast tenderness. I would say be careful taking it if you have depression already because it can affect your mood."

For Birth Control "I’m going on my 5th month with Aubra EQ, and it’s the best birth control I’ve been on. It hasn’t affected libido or caused any crazy mood changes. It has regulated my periods and made them short, and I don’t have bad cramping like I used to. My skin cleared up, I also gym and drink lots of water. But I definitely recommend this for people that want to make the switch from other forms that are making them feel negative symptoms."
