For Birth Control "I’ve been on Aubra EQ for 11 months. The first 7/8 months I felt fine and did not give me any problems. After that, I began PMSing really bad, I now feel depressed and have migraines almost every day. My anxiety has increased a lot, and my brain feels foggy most of the time. I have a breakdown almost every day. I notice when I’m on my placebo pills I’m even more emotional because of PMS, but I don’t feel foggy. Nothing in my life has changed, so the only explanation for feeling this way is my birth control. I do not feel like myself on it and plan on switching methods. Doesn’t hurt to try it out, it might be fine for some people, but at the end of the day, it isn’t working for me."

For Birth Control "I have been on Aubra EQ for six months now. I take it at night with food to prevent too much nausea, but I have gone to bed most nights feeling slightly nauseous because of it (not enough to make me throw up or unable to sleep). I have noticed it has definitely given me bad anxiety and makes my mood swings super drastic, when I have never been one to have major mood fluctuations. It has made my PMS really bad and for longer than I usually do. One upside, though, is that it has made my periods way lighter and shorter. I have never had acne, so I do not notice any change in my skin. I have gained maybe 5-10 pounds since I started it, but my water retention is horrible and makes me feel heavier than I am a lot of the times. Overall, this pill can affect everyone differently, so it is worth a try, but I plan on switching birth control soon, mostly because of the drastic mood swings I am constantly fighting to balance."

For Birth Control "Just started Aubra EQ because I needed some affordable birth control. Planned Parenthood gave it to me. Experienced some anxiety at first and some mood swings. Had some very slight nausea. I am 5'4", 120, and 32 years old. I'm a very active person who runs and exercises daily. Weight stayed the same. No gain or loss. I've been sleeping much better since I've been on this."

For Birth Control "I've been on Aubra EQ for over 6 months now, and let me tell you, in the first 3 months, I was just fine. I didn't notice any type of changes with my body or anything in particular, but after 6 months of taking it, honestly, I don't recognize myself. My periods are all over the place, I'm always moody, and I feel so depressed all the time. My mind is just playing with me, I overthink so much, and I feel like I'm drowning sometimes in my own head. I'm so hard on my boyfriend, and we've been constantly arguing because I flip out over every little thing like it's nothing even serious ever, I just make it be that way. I'm super emotional and have been on my period twice a month. They don't last very long, maybe for two days in total. After that, it would be only darker red spots. It's just crazy how drastic a change it's been happening since I started using these pills. Good luck, ladies, if you consider using them. Also, not everyone reacts the same, and maybe it's just our bodies that don't react the same."

For Birth Control "I think it is safe to say these pills ruined my relationship with my partner due to my constant outbursts and mood swings. It also deteriorated my self-esteem. I had constant breakouts and crippling anxiety. No fun. Absolutely no sex drive. I took these pills for 7 months and switched to the NuvaRing after my breakup because the pills made everything ten times harder after. I took these pills at the beginning of my relationship. RIP my relationship, lol. I didn’t get pregnant, but god, that was horrible."

For Birth Control "On Aubra EQ, I have had extreme food aversions, extreme mood swings, crippling depression, and painful cystic acne, which I NEVER had in my life before. I also never had cramps during my period, and I was never a heavy bleeder, but this pill made my periods awful, it was excessive and extreme. I took this for 8 months, and it has taken a toll on me and my relationship. I also have 0 sex drive, and I used to enjoy sex before, but while using this pill, I’m so disgusted with the idea of it."

For Birth Control "I have been on Aubra for 6 weeks now, and it has its pros and its cons. This is my first time taking any form of birth control, so the first month with this medicine was pretty rough. Luckily, in the last two weeks, I have found that all of my negative side effects have dissipated, and I feel back to my normal self. PROS: I am not pregnant, my cystic acne has cleared up, and my weight has stayed the same. CONS: I was depressed for the first month of taking the pills (crying spells, irritability, general sadness, exhaustion). Note: I have never experienced depression before taking Aubra. I had major mood swings, my period lasted for 15 days, and I had terrible cramps. Like I said, the first month was pretty bad, but once you get through those negative side effects, all is back to normal."

For Birth Control "This birth control was a disaster for my skin. I am 23 years old, and my skin has not looked this pimply since I was in middle school. Another downside to Aubra is the mood swings. There were many times when I was so irritable that I would just snap at people. I do not recommend Aubra EQ."

For Birth Control "My body got used to Aubra EQ super quick. I got my periods regular at the time that I should, even made my periods lighter. I had some mood swings here and there, but no other major side effects. However, after about 2 packs, I started getting horrible acne, and I never used to get acne. I gave it about another 4 months, and now I have the absolute worst acne of my life. Gonna try a different pill."

For Birth Control "I have been on Aubra EQ for almost a year now. The first six months or so, I didn’t feel any changes at all, it didn’t help my acne, but it didn’t worsen it either. Today, almost a year later, I absolutely despise it. My periods are random but light, and it has affected my mood the most. I get waves of sadness that last for days. I find myself overthinking and crying myself to sleep over the smallest things. The first pill I ever got on, I loved it, it cleared my acne, I lost weight, and I felt fine. Sadly, they discontinued it, so the next one I got on worsened my acne, and now this one is fully messing with my mood, and I really want to switch to another one. However, everyone’s body is different, I just wanted to share my personal experience. It has prevented pregnancy, and my weight didn’t get affected, but I would love to be in control of my own emotions, and sadly, this pill has made it very difficult."

For Birth Control "I went from Skyla to Aubra EQ. I've been on this pill for about 5 days, and I started bleeding on the second day: light to medium spotting and like a period. I take it at night but wake up super hungry and nauseous. Also, feel very emotional. It is crazy how fast this pill has changed my body. I'm going to give it 3 months, and if it gets worse, I will find something new."

For Birth Control "I took Aubra EQ for a year after Planned Parenthood had changed it from the regular Aubra. It changed my mood dramatically for the first two months, and slowly it became better, but I was still sad for a lot of the time. I gained a few pounds. I also had a lower sex drive compared to when I was taking the other pill. I didn't want to be touched, and TMI, but I was dry there a lot of the time. But I didn't get acne, and I'm not pregnant."

For Birth Control "This is the first and only hormonal birth control I’ve taken. I was very anxious to start this birth control, and like other reviews I have read, I was also prescribed this at Planned Parenthood. I absolutely loathe this birth control. I have only taken it for 7 days, but I can’t take it any longer. My appetite has insanely increased, I’m having intense cravings, extreme mood swings, and have literal 0 energy. I have cried every day multiple times for the past 3 doses, and not to mention this is so unlikely. I cry maybe once every 3 months, and I am not a very emotional person. I don’t recommend this birth control, but I know hormones affect everybody differently. This is my experience."

For Birth Control "I am in my 4th week of using Aubra EQ. A few things to mention are: this is my first time using birth control, I have a history of emotional instability and mood swings but not to a horrible extent. I am also in a hectic and stressful period as I am graduating soon and going off to college next year. The first 2 weeks I was incredibly emotional and jealous and constantly whining about how miserable I was to my boyfriend, and I would pick random fights over nothing out of nowhere. I also cried every day of my first week, and I felt very unmotivated and paranoid. The third week was better, and I was getting back to normal and I was happier than before. I had a minor breakdown the other day, but it subsided quickly and I was back to normal after about an hour and a half. I have gotten better emotionally since I started, but I have been getting more headaches and I am always tired and foggy. I do not think I have had a long enough trial period to write a proper review on this, but I say try it."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Aubra EQ for about two months now. I do have mood swings every now and then and headaches, but other than that, no side effects. My period cramps improved so much! No weight changes or breast tenderness. I would say be careful taking it if you have depression already because it can affect your mood."

For Birth Control "I’m going on my 5th month with Aubra EQ, and it’s the best birth control I’ve been on. It hasn’t affected libido or caused any crazy mood changes. It has regulated my periods and made them short, and I don’t have bad cramping like I used to. My skin cleared up, I also gym and drink lots of water. But I definitely recommend this for people that want to make the switch from other forms that are making them feel negative symptoms."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Aubra EQ for 3 months now as my first birth control pill. I sought it out as both birth control and to help with my awful periods, and it’s definitely done its job with both. Periods are so much better, much lighter, and little if any cramping or other issues. I’ve experienced some migraines since starting Aubra, but I've also always had issues with headaches and migraines, so it may just be bad timing or exacerbating my underlying issues. I have been extra emotional, that’s been very noticeable. Personally, my sex drive has remained the same, which is why I know the birth control has been working, lol, but I think it has impacted self-lubrication, which is fine, just not ideal. Overall, things have gone well so far. For me, the positives have far outweighed the negative side effects."

For Birth Control "I was on Aubra EQ for almost 4 years, and aside from some mood swings here and there, I never had a problem with it. I did gain a bit of weight, but I wasn't upset with it. I was sexually active throughout the entirety that I was on it and never had a pregnancy scare. I absolutely loved this birth control, unfortunately, for my cysts being a little more complicated, I am now switching, but I wanted to write the review since this was my first birth control. It was a good one, like I said, I loved it and never had any issues. If it wasn't for my cysts, I would stay on this for longer if possible. Don't let reviews scare you, everyone's body is different. My acne improved but didn't clear up, like I said, a little bit of weight gain, but when getting on this, those weren't issues or targets. My main concern was managing my cysts and protecting myself since I am sexually active, and it did just that!"

For Birth Control "I started taking Aubra EQ six months ago. Before this, I was on Aubra, which I started in October of last year and had no problems. I loved it! When I started Aubra EQ, the first month I had some anxiety, and throughout my cramps, mood swings, and anxiety were a lot worse. My boyfriend told me to stop taking it and find something else, but I read that after six months your hormones will level out. Now that it's been six months, I've had the worst anxiety ever and crying so randomly. I keep telling myself, since my cycle is supposed to start, I just need to get through this week and I'll be fine, but no one should have to feel like that. I want to stop, but without having something to switch to, it's giving me anxiety. The pros: I don't have bad acne anymore, no excessive weight gain, and I'm not getting pregnant (unprotected sex)."
