"Been taking for 25 years with no problems. Then my Dr. would not refill, so went into depression for 3 months. Got back on script, back to normal. Have had a total hysterectomy in 1997. Do not want to live without script. No patches."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "JC in 2018 wrote a review that mirrors mine. I have taken this drug for 20 years. My doctor all of a sudden changed it to just estrogen. Although I only have a lot of sadness, crying, decreased libido, and the worst one of all, as if it could get any worse, “a loss so far of 1/2 my hair.” Well, for the moment, I’m taking things into my hands and returning to taking what I have left of this med to see if my hair will stop falling out. But for 20 years, this medication has been wonderful and needs to be put back on the market, or a personal letter of what health risk reason it was taken away should be sent to each patient that was taking it should occur! The public has a right to know, and we should not need to be investigators to find out!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have used Estratest for 21 years and have appreciated its impact on my sleep, skin, bones, etc. My gyn doc retired, and now someone else is taking over, not a fan of HRT. I'm wrangling with her now as I don't want to stop with the Estratest. I am happy to cut back but not to give it up altogether. My script ran out, and she wouldn't re-up me, and I went immediately back into night sweats, sleep disturbances, etc. We are at a stand-off now, would love to find a different doc, but so far no luck."

For Menopausal Disorders "I had a partial hysterectomy at age 29; started going through full menopause at age 41ish. Was taking estradiol, but had zero libido. Dr. recommended this EEMT to help with that part; however, I still have hot flashes, night sweats, no libido, headaches, massive weight gain even with diet and exercise, so I'm going to a hormone doctor instead - appointment is next month. I am miserable and on the highest dose available."

Esterified estrogens / methyltestosterone "It took me a year of trying different medications after my hysterectomy to my physician, and I finally settled on Covaryx. I have been taking it for a few years. I feel like myself again. New findings on this drug show it has many positive effects on women’s health, bones, brain, etc."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "After three weeks, I was finally able to find a pharmacy that could get the generic form of the drug from a supplier. I must have been to 10 different pharmacies! Anyway, EEMT has been a life saver. I had a total hysterectomy twelve years ago at age 53. EEMT takes away hot flashes, sweating, low mood, and has done wonders for my libido. (Yay!) The HS is best for me because the FS caused me to get acne, excessive hair growth, and a deeper voice. I feel strongly that there is sexism in medicine because the availability of EEMT and its place in medicine, research studies, and availability is the complete opposite of Viagra and similar meds for men. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to get this filled. My EEMT prescription has been more difficult for me to fill than filling other schedule III meds, and it’s super frustrating."

Esterified estrogens / methyltestosterone for Postmenopausal Symptoms "I started on this 10 years ago after a hysterectomy. I also started at that very same time having severe panic attacks caused by anxiety. I was put on Xanax 1 mg three times a day. Now I am trying to get off the Xanax. Very difficult, even with counseling. I wonder if it is the Estratest that started all of this?"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "Given that I have been on this medicine for 7 years now, I'm going to say that it works. I assume I will be taking this for the rest of my life, and I'm not sure how safe that will be."

For Menopausal Disorders "I have been on this drug for 20 years. It has been a lifesaver. Since turning 69, my doctors have said I need to stop taking it because of side effects. Well, I’ve never had any side effects, just good results. I have tried to stop taking this many times but all the symptoms return. The worst being the constant hot flashes which soak my body and occur about every hour. This also disturbs my sleep. At one time, due to the scare from the gynecologist that I could have a heart attack, I weaned off the pills for a year. It was really a horrible experience. I keep trying to come off on occasion but each time the hot flashes do me in. I am on the lowest dose. I am having a hard time finding a doctor who will prescribe these to me. My thinking is if they help us so much, why should we have to stop? I have no side effects, and if I was to get cancer or a heart attack from taking them, I think that would have occurred by now. My dose is 0.625-1.25 mg. I split them in half and still get the benefits."
