For Asthma, acute "I was having asthma symptoms. Tightness in chest, shortness of breath. I had used the last of my albuterol nebs and was just about out of my albuterol inhaler. I called my doctor to request refills. He refused, saying I needed to come into the office. I made an appointment, and he still refused to refill my prescription until he sees me a week and a half later. So, I went to the pharmacy after seeing a commercial for the over-the-counter inhaler Primatene Mist. I used it for 2 puffs, and it worked very well to open me up, and I was able to breathe much better."

For Asthma, acute "Used this for two months with good results. Then my chest started burning after using, then started to get intense stomach pain, even after gargling. Sorry I wasted my money on a third. Will be giving to my husband for his allergy attacks and intermittent shortness of breath. He has a cast-iron stomach."

For Asthma, acute "I have issues using Albuterol. For me, after taking it, I have to continue taking it, and it is a downward spiral of dependence, chasing my next breath. With Primatene, I don’t get this issue. I can use it when I need it, and the rest of the time, forget that it’s there. It’s nice that I can use it and not become dependent on it, or a doctor, for that matter, if I need more."

For Asthma, acute "It works, but just make sure you do follow the instructions on how to use this medication. It is strong. I have not got any side effects from it, but everybody is different. Other than that, it does leave a cool, tingly feeling in my throat, a little irritation. This is the first time I used this: 1 spray. One time so far, I have yet to experience it as days progress, but I just bought it today. 1 spray I get to have to find out how it works later on with more sprays."

For Asthma, acute "In the last few years, I have noticed that when I do a lot of physical work outside or am around a tremendous amount of grass clippings or dust, my breathing becomes labored. A few weeks ago, I was in a very dry, dusty, graveled parking lot and my truck was covered in pollen. I drove around doing what I needed to do with all the windows down, and the next thing I knew, I couldn't breathe. I told my granddaughter to call my daughter and bring me her son's inhaler. I know it was a bad idea to use someone else's medicine, but it was the fastest solution and I couldn't breathe. I picked up two of these inhalers for emergencies, and I have used one of them now with amazing results. When I go back to my doctor, I will explain to her everything I went through, but for now, I have peace of mind and I know it will help me. I noticed no side effects after using it, and I recommend that anyone keep it in their purse as an emergency backup plan. I wish I had it that day. I felt like I was dying with fluids coming from all parts of my body!"

For Asthma, acute "This is the only inhaler over the counter that works. I've had severe asthma my whole life and I'm not covered by insurance to get the real thing so this is a blessing. Waking up having attacks is new to me now that I'm older and Primatene Mist is my go-to. It has a bad taste and yes, it makes you a bit jittery but IT WORKS..."

For Asthma, acute "Primatene Mist sucks these days. The medication is not as strong as it used to be 11 years ago. Even after taking a puff, I’m back to wheezing and shortness of breath again after 30 minutes. Also, this medication burns my esophagus. Rinse your mouth every time."

For Asthma, acute "Used Primatene Mist only 1 time, and I went into shock, body numb all over, could not breathe hardly. I went to the doctor that day and was told this inhaler never should have been sold over the counter. Epinephrine is too strong. He would never order this for patients. Lucky for me I had only taken 1 dose. However, it took me days to get all of this out of my system. I felt awful and weak for days. Never take anything over the counter for asthma or anything like that, see a doctor first."

"I just started using this in place of Ventolin albuterol for COPD and allergies, and it works excellent. Plus, the price is right, and I don't need a script to buy. Thanks so much!"

For Asthma, acute "I have run out of albuterol, I thought I'd give this a go. Big mistake. Not only did it not help, but it caused an awful burning sensation in my airways. I will never use this again."

For Asthma, acute "Only used the Primatene Mist thing twice. Both times made my symptoms worse, made my throat burn, and made me go into coughing fits. I don’t recommend this product at all."

For Asthma, acute "Bought the new Primatene Mist, not nearly as good as the old one. You waste half of it spraying it in the air. Just doesn't work for me. Don't waste your money."
