For Birth Control "I love this birth control. The first two weeks, it was hard adjusting because I had mood swings. I dealt with spotting for 3 weeks. No changes in hunger, and I’ve been successful exercising and dieting on this medication within the last 6 months. Prior, I had no weight gain either, though. Definitely recommend!!"

For Birth Control "I can’t take the combo pill, so I have been on Slynd for 6 months now. I will be honest, I almost threw in the towel. I started spotting on my 9th pill of the pack, and I didn’t stop until 3 months went by. Every day I would spot. I was told to give it 6 months, and I’m so glad I did! My periods used to have me immobilized. People really don’t know what women go through. I would have to call out of work, and take ibuprofen/Tylenol around the clock. It felt like it didn’t even touch my pain. I hurt so badly. I would go through an ultra-absorbent tampon in 1 hour on a bad day. Anyhow, Slynd has changed my life. I take pills daily without break, but my cramps are so light. I might take ibuprofen once for 2 days, if that. I may have to use 2 light tampons the entire thing. I never have heavy bleeding. I’m hoping I can get my periods to stop altogether. My insurance doesn’t cover it, so I’m worried about the copay card suddenly not working."

"I’ve tried many different birth controls over the years. All the other progestin-only methods (IUD, shot, implant) made my PMDD 100x worse 24/7, major water retention, spotting. I found little help with Yaz/Yasmin, they just gave me headaches. I have tried EVERYTHING, and nothing has worked better for me than Slinda. The first 3 weeks I had some light spotting, but by the second packet (skipping placebos), it’s completely gone. No cramps, no bleeding, and zero PMDD symptoms. I have no physical or mental symptoms on Slinda, and I’ve lost a couple of kgs because of the diuretic effect of this type of progestin. It’s expensive, but so worth it for me. My GP also mentioned she’s working with some other professionals to get it placed under the PBS (Australia). Long story short, give it a shot!!"

"I am a chaste, unmarried, childless woman taking SLYND for endometriosis. So far, it has reduced my pains, reduced my bleeding, cramps and migraines barely happen, and they are not as severe. No hair loss, no acne, no facial hair growth. I was on the mini pill for close to two years, on and off, prior to this pill. It was awful: two UTI infections, hair loss, acne, heavy bleeding, and sometimes two periods a month. While I did have irregular spotting in the second month of SLYND, after three months of use, my periods are mostly non-existent. You have to take it at the exact time every day and avoid alcohol & smoking/drugs because this medicine does raise potassium levels and does go through the liver. You need to take extra care of your body & health while on it. But the benefits outweigh the side effects. One surgery for endometriosis is enough: no more surgery, no more Advil/mefenamic acid and other heavy anti-inflammatory drugs. My IBS symptoms are mostly non-existent as well."

For Birth Control "I have been on Slynd for over a month now. Transitioned from the depo shot. I can tell already my body is so much happier on Slynd than the shot! Less bloating, I think I have lost a few pounds. I was preparing myself for major breakthrough bleeding, but really I had maybe a couple of days of cramping and spotting, but that’s it! If you’re worried about acne, talk to your doctor about being prescribed Spironolactone along with the pill. It helps prevent acne from progestin-only birth control. Overall, I am very happy with Slynd!!"

"I have been on for 1 month. I lost the 7 lbs I gained with my previous pills for fibroid help. I have had no bad periods like anything. I had some spotting, but that was about it. It gave me back my energy. The only thing it did do was make my ankles swollen, which working with Dr now figure out why."

For Birth Control "I started taking Slynd in February 2022, and it’s May 2022 now. The first month, I had light spotting when my period was due and REALLY bad cramps, which I’ve never had, super bad cramps before. I couldn’t move because of them, and they lasted about 10 minutes (not exaggerating). I am about to start my 4th pack and haven’t had a period. I haven’t had any spotting or bleeding for months 2 and 3. I have anxiety, so I’m very anxious about being pregnant. I keep taking tests because I’m so anxious. It also has affected my mood dramatically. I have depression and anxiety already, and the reason I switched to this birth control was because it was supposed to help with my PMDD. It made it worse. I almost got sent to a residential mental facility. I became extremely angry and extremely depressed (considered suicide heavily). I’m glad to see it worked for a lot of people, but it’s just not for me…"

For Birth Control "So I just finished my first month on this pill called Slynd. There are more pros than cons. The first week, I have to say, I was a bit emotional and had some spotting. My doctor said that the breakthrough bleeding was completely normal. I also get mild headaches, so I started taking it right before bed so I’d sleep it off. The pros are that I didn’t gain any weight, which usually happens, and after the first week, I felt no mood swings or emotional in any way. I’m so upset because it’s $300, and my insurance only covers half, so it’s just way too much to keep up. I have to switch to a new one, and I’m not happy about it because I love Slynd. No weight gain and no mood swings made me so happy. I HIGHLY recommend it if you can afford it."

For Birth Control "43, on Slynd for 3 years: Switched due to migraines. Initial side effects (oily skin, breakouts, irregular bleeding) resolved in 3-6 months. Periods stopped completely (>1 year) with no cramps or breast pain. Skipping placebo weeks prevented bleeding (which usually came a week after the placebo pills). Recently, after over a year, I took a 4-day break, which triggered spotting, bleeding, and a disrupted cycle that has been ongoing for a month now. I recommend skipping breaks to avoid disruptions. No weight gain, no mood swings."

For Birth Control "I’m 23 and was on Slynd because I suffer from migraines. I was on Slynd for 4 months. The 1st month was okay, I just had awful cramps. I figured it was my body adjusting because, without birth control, I would sometimes have horrible cramps too. I did, however, spot for a week prior to my period, but I know the body takes at least 3 months to adjust, so I waited. The 2nd month, I had 4 days with no bleeding at all, but again, the spotting was very mild, and this time, no cramps. The third month, I had 2 weeks of no spotting, so I thought my body was adjusting. Boy, was I WRONG. This last month I was on it, I bled incessantly all month and started passing huge clots. I wouldn’t soak through pads or tampons or even liners, but the clots were huge and felt super uncomfortable. It’s just not worth it. I don’t want to be bleeding like this or passing clots, and I miss sex. Slynd is most definitely not for me. I'm only giving it a 3-star rating because the few times I did get to have sex, I didn’t get pregnant, so it did its job, I guess."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Slynd for 2 1/2 months now. My doc switched me due to mental health issues I was having with my other one. I feel great on Slynd and can definitely tell there’s a difference with my mental health. However, I’ve been spotting regularly since starting Slynd, which has now increased to a regular/heavy flow over the past two weeks. I’ve already decided to try it for another month due to the typical “3 month rule” with new BC. If my period doesn’t regulate, which is why I started BC in the first place, I’m trying something different. If it does, then I’ll stick to Slynd."

For Birth Control "This medicine has been life-changing. I’m scared of the day that I will have to go off it. I have struggled with heavy and painful periods since my teens. I’m 35. Since taking Slynd for the first time over a year and a half ago, my symptoms have completely gone away. When first taking Slynd, I experienced spotting. This quickly stopped after a couple of months. I have not had any side effects since. I feel like I can finally live pain-free. The only negative was my insurance stopped covering the medicine."

For Birth Control "37-year-old mom, periods have always been like clockwork, but I wanted to be on the pill. My doctor recommended Slynd, and I was on it for five months. The first two months I had light spotting two weeks before the placebo that stopped when I started the next pack. Third month, skipped a day, and just took the next day's pill without doubling. That month I didn't have a period, and haven't had one since. Fourth month I realized I had no sex drive, and was having little fits of rage. I THREW things! Stopped the pill after that, but on the first day I had about four to five palpitations, and my chest felt heavy. After a week and a half they finally started dissipating, and I haven't had one since. No more rages either, but still no period. Pregnancy tests were all negative."

For Birth Control "Received 2 sample packs of Slynd and the coupon to use to purchase 1 month, $10 refill or $25, 3 month refill. Went on this pill after giving birth. The first month was great. Went on a vacation, so I stopped the pill and restarted the pill again on the 1st day of my period. That's when it never stopped. Had light bleeding, however, no cramps until I was about 2 days away from completing the pack. It went away for 2 days when my period came back 2 days into the 4 iron pills or placebos, and I started another pack thereafter thinking maybe my body just needed to adjust. Once again, my period never stopped. Light bleeding the entire time, who knows when it is going to end. These pills are not good for those looking to have shorter periods. Annoying how many pads and tampons I have to buy, constantly bleeding for months. After this pack, I'm done. Pros: no cramps, no cravings and weight gain, no acne, possibly no pregnancy. Cons: never-ending light bleeding, spotting, and breakthrough bleeding."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Slynd to help my ovarian endometriosis. I am on month 4 at the moment and have been skipping the placebo pills as prescribed. I have experienced bleeding and brown spotting, which lasts for 3-4 weeks in a row (!) with only a 1-1.5 week break. Among other side effects are mood swings, depression, acne, and low sex drive. However, one of the endo cysts did diminish from 8 to 5 cm, so apparently that is thanks to the drug. The smaller cyst has stayed the same size so far."

For Birth Control "4/10 I am going to try to be helpful with my review. I took this pill for 15 days and didn’t have crazy initial side effects, which was nice. All of a sudden, though, I noticed how bad my anxiety was getting. About as bad as it was a couple of years ago, and there are no other factors that would cause this stress in my life. Everything is going super well, and so the only thing I can think of is the pill… I randomly had a panic attack and a few mornings woke up with the least amount of motivation I’ve ever had. I really wish I could wait the 3 months, but I feel like trash. Other side effects are that my skin has gotten worse over the last 2 weeks, as well as my hair thinning more, and I had a weird spotting period for over a week. I would assume these all have to do with the pill because I’m not on any other medication as well as having no other extenuating circumstances."

For Birth Control "It's the best thing EVER! I take blood thinners and tried all the other mini pills and kept bleeding...spotting for two weeks, back on for two, off for two, and back to the spotting. I have not had a period. I skip the placebo pills, which are only 4 pills. I spotted for a week, but it was the kind if you wipe, it would be brown or very light pink. Wouldn't fill up a panty liner. If you are on blood thinners, try Slynd. It's a specialty BC, but my gosh, it is the truth!"

For Birth Control "I started taking Slynd after being diagnosed with endometriosis. I am now on month 5, skipping the placebo pills altogether. The first 3 months I had on-and-off spotting and cramps, but that subsided in month 4. I am now having another phase of spotting/bleeding and some back pain (for about a week now), but hoping this will pass soon. The spotting phases have been uncomfortable but not as bad as a regular period with endo. Otherwise, I have had a really good experience. It took some time to adjust, but I feel pretty balanced now mentally and no other side effects. Combined pills made me miserable and really depressed, to the point that I didn't take anything for 10 years. With the endo diagnosis, I decided to give a progestin-only pill a try. I just hope this spotting/pain will subside but sticking to it for now."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Slynd for 6 months now. I’m 36 and had never been on hormonal birth control before, but was prescribed this due to severe issues with endometriosis, heavy bleeding, and terrible menstrual pains and cramps. I can’t take pills containing estrogen due to high blood pressure and migraines with aura. I’m still not sure how to feel about this pill! On the one hand, it has massively helped with the pains and cramps - in these 6 months I’ve been totally pain-free (it even helped with my migraines!), which has been AMAZING. It felt like I got my life back. On the other hand, I’ve been having a lot of spotting and bleeding, and unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like it’s getting better with time - quite the opposite. The first two to three months, I had spotting for about 10 days a month, and then it has just been going on longer and longer for each month. The past two months, I’ve only had about 10 days per month without any bleeding, which hasn’t exactly been great."

For Birth Control "It’s been about 5 months since I started Slynd, and it’s the best pill I’ve been on. Chronic anemia from my heavy periods has resolved. I rarely have my period at all now. And when I do, it’s a day of mild spotting only. PMS is much more manageable as well. My insurance doesn’t cover it yet, but I buy from a mail-order company, and it costs approx $50 for a 3-month supply."

For Birth Control "This pill has been awful for me. I'm 3.5 months in and just finished my 6th period. Last period was my heaviest one in my life! Plus lots of spotting. I'm extremely moody and anxious. I cry all the time. Zero sex drive. I will be having a chat with my doctor and getting off this medication."

For Birth Control "I love this Slynd pill! I am so lucky to have found a BC that is right for me and my body. I'm a bigger girl, so it is a good option versus a regular BC pill. I haven't had any side effects, the first few months I was spotting for like 2 weeks at a time, but now it's regulated, so I will skip spotting and bleeding for months at a time, and then just a small spotting here and there, and then back to nothing! No weight gain, no acne, and I think it has helped my PMS anxiety slightly as well."

For Birth Control "I have been on Slynd now for 3 months and can’t stand it! I was previously on Yasmin, and a new doctor convinced me to give Slynd a try due to the fact that it is estrogen-free. The first month was fine. The second month, I began bleeding heavily for two weeks, just one week after my normal cycle, and have been spotting ever since. I have been irritable, super sensitive, and emotional. I understand the benefits of being estrogen-free but not at the sake of my sanity."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this medicine for just over a month, and I have had a combination of spotting/bleeding during this period. I suffer from fibroids, so my doctor prescribed this medication in order to help control my excessive bleeding and cramps. Now that I have started on my second pack, I’m reconsidering if I want to continue taking this product."

For Birth Control "So I’ve waited quite a while since starting Slynd to actually make a review because I wanted to make sure I had the full experience. The first 5 months, I had light bleeding on my sugar pill week, with occasional breakthrough bleeding. For me, this was great because I had just come off Nexplanon, which made me bleed constantly for 30+ days. By my sixth month on Slynd, I only had 2 days of very light bleeding on my sugar pill week, and now I have no bleeding or only very light spotting one day. Also, my acne has cleared up significantly, my suicidal ideation has decreased so much, and the weight I gained while on the implant has gone away. Also noted, I have lupus, which was one of the main reasons it was recommended I try this. No birth control is for everyone, but if you’ve had issues with estrogen-based birth control, I highly recommend trying this. Oh, and I don’t have insurance, and it is still very affordable."
