For Birth Control "So far, so good! I've been on this pill for about three months now, and the only side effects I had were nausea within the first few weeks of taking the pill and an increase in boob size (not complaining). I previously struggled with weight gain with other brands of the pill, as well as heart palpitations, mood swings, and severe bloating. My skin has never looked better on Yaz, too!! People have said it's glowing. I loooove Yaz!"

For Acne "This pill has cleared up my acne and regulated my period! I used to never get my period, and now I get it every single month. I did go up a few bra sizes, but I remain the same weight overall. It did make my period very heavy and very painful, along with bad emotional breakdowns on the sugar pills. Other than that, I really like this pill!"

For Birth Control "I was on Yaz for about 6 months about 2 years ago and loved it. It made my skin great, I lost weight, controlled my crazy mood swings, and totally increased my sex drive. I was put on it because I had gotten pregnant on a different pill. The only reason I stopped was to try the NuvaRing, which was the worst idea ever. I stopped that, and for whatever reason, the doctor didn't put me back on Yaz, just a different generic of something else that made me lose libido, gain weight, get acne, everything bad. Then I decided to stop taking birth control altogether to try and get pregnant. Didn't work, still all bad mood swings and acne, but found out about polycystic ovarian syndrome. Going back on Yaz tomorrow, the only thing that keeps me from being crazy."

For Birth Control "I started using Yaz about a year ago - it has a good side and a bad side. Good: less severe cramps, lighter periods, lighter facial hair (my little peach fuzz mustache disappeared). Bad: emotional mood swings every month on the first day taking the placebo pill, dramatically decreased sex drive. Overall, I liked it, and if I was not in a physical relationship, then it would be great! But the decreased sex drive put a strain on my relationship, so I am trying something different now."

For Birth Control "As a teenager, a pill like Yaz may not be the best option. The results for your skin are phenomenal! But there are also some very bad cons. First, it started out fine because the doctor said that I’d have mood swings or be emotional. The first month of taking it was the worst. I felt like I wasn’t even controlling my body anymore. As the two other months went by, my emotions got worse. I started crying uncontrollably, being irritated for weeks and weeks, then my own mother said that I was different and not in a good way. In conclusion, I do not recommend this product because of the negative effects."

For Birth Control "Switched from my old BC to Yaz and immediately felt a difference. The first few days I was so emotional, very significantly so. By the end of the first week, I was full-on depressed, and it continued on to the second week. Everything triggered me. :( But I like the sticker on the top with the days."

For Acne "I'm a healthy 20-year-old with no history of blood clots, and my doc prescribed Yaz, though I couldn't even finish one month's pack. I noticed a significant clear-up in my breakouts, but it wasn't enough to outweigh the side effects: nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, breast tenderness, mood swings, and migraines. The final straw came with a sudden lingering pain accompanied by swelling in my upper right leg that lasted for several hours before abating. I have nothing to confirm that this was a blood clot or was related to the drug, but further research revealed to me that Yaz is currently under thousands of lawsuits due to debilitating and fatal blood clots in seemingly healthy girls. I am now off of Yaz with no intention of returning to it."

For Birth Control "I started taking it to regulate my period a year ago, and it has been a rollercoaster of a year. About 5 months after taking it, my mood swings started to get really bad, I always had headaches, my cramps were bad, and I started to have symptoms of anxiety and depression. I used to be so full of energy and always happy, now my mood swings are 24/7 and I have 0 energy whatsoever. Definitely going to switch birth control pills. I don't recommend Yaz."

For Acne "I've been on Yaz for almost 8 months now, and although my skin has improved, it has not actually cleared my acne. I invested so much money into it, and it has destroyed my libido. I can't produce ANY lubrication, and my emotions are not good. I was diagnosed with PCOS and endometriosis almost a year ago and only started struggling with my skin when I got the tests. I went on Yaz because I was told it would be worth the $90 for each 3-month packet, but honestly? It is unfortunately not for me. Because it's so expensive, I'm going to give it till the end of my packets, and then I'm going on a birth control that at least doesn't destroy my sex drive. I hope it works for whomever reads this review!"

For Birth Control "So far, so good. I have been on Yaz for two months now. Worked great for clearing up acne. My face was completely clear within the first month of using Yaz. My only problems are that when it is close to my period, my cramps are worse than ever. I've also been getting extremely emotional before my period. But other than that, everything seems great. No nausea or anything."

For Birth Control "I would have to say that Yaz has been by far the best birth control pill I've tried. No weight gain, no depression, I have tons of energy, I still have my sex drive, and no crazy out-of-control mood swings. It's worth a try. But no birth control pill is going to work the same for everyone. I recommend NEVER doing the generic brands, they are slightly different, which if you're sensitive to birth control pills like me, you will notice a difference. Yaz changed my life and made my PMDD a lot better."

For Birth Control "I was on Yaz for a year. I have to say overall I loved it. I didn't really have any mood swings that were out of the ordinary for me, no spotting or weight gain, no problems at all really. Except, shortly before I got off it and switched, I got a blood clot in my right arm. It was very painful. I am a smoker and knew the risk, but I loved Yaz so much that I was willing to stay on it. I switched at the request of my husband. For whatever reason, the blood clot did not scare me, and it went away on its own. But I am yet again switching my pill because what I was switched to after Yaz is just not cutting it."

For Menstrual Disorders "Yaz has been the greatest medicine ever. A few years ago, before I went on the pill, I would get terribly sick. I went through crazy tests, MRIs, then finally my mom recommended going to the gynecologist. She put me on Yaz, and ever since then, my periods are so light and only one day. I have no acne whatsoever, no mood swings, barely any cramps, and I no longer get extremely sick. I love Yaz and will never take anything else."

For Birth Control "39 yr old. I took Yaz this year (2018) for 5 mths. From the outset, I experienced negative symptoms - bloating, swollen tender breasts. The worst side effect was extreme mood swings - each month I experienced extremely negative thoughts, paranoia, high levels of anxiety, crying, highly emotional and reactive... you name it. I changed to another brand, and I’m back to my normal self. No real cons with this pill that another pill won’t provide."

For Birth Control "Gave me mood swings and made me depressed. I felt like I had zero control of my emotions and would lash out on others. It negatively affected my day-to-day life, so I quit after 3 months, and my mood swings stopped."

For Birth Control "I have been on Yaz for five months, and I have suffered really badly with chest pain, mood swings, anxiety, really dark thoughts, feelings of ugliness, no concentration, bad sleep, feeling that I was pregnant, and no periods at all. I thought I was losing my mind. This has a significant effect on my life, my partner, and my children. There is so much info on the net about how bad this pill is and how badly it affects moods. One thing, all feedback that has had similar experiences to mine is that after a few weeks, your body gets back to normal. My GP didn't tell me the side effects, he told me to read up on it - this is my part of this - had I read about this and made an educated choice, I just wanted better skin."

For Birth Control "This product is horrible. I’m a very optimistic, happy, outgoing person, but I’ve been taking Yaz for a little over a month, and I’ve been a wreck. I’m highly irritable, I have the most intense mood swings, and I cry all the time, and lately, it’s been making my entire body ache. The past month has been mentally draining and exhausting. I really do not recommend it, especially if you’re a teenager such as me. This pill makes me feel depressed and sad as well, and the likelihood of blood clots is so high it’s terrifying. Don’t use this pill."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "My doctor started me on Yaz about a month and a half ago for my PMDD disorder. I do not have the weight gain that I would get every month 10 days before my period, and mood swings and the overwhelming feeling of unattractiveness 10 days before my period went away. One side effect that was odd was insomnia and only one panic attack. I'm not sure if the insomnia or panic attack is related to Yaz because I had both 3 to 4 years ago, but it went away. I am 35 years old and have never used the pill before taking Yaz."

For Birth Control "I've been using Yaz for about 6 weeks now, and I immediately noticed my skin getting better and my skin getting clearer. My period has improved so much, it was hell before, and now it's shorter and painless. My sex drive improved as well (I didn't expect that). The big problem I have is my mood swings. I am a very happy and charismatic person, but now I feel anxious all the time. I'm sensitive over things that wouldn't bother me at all before. I cry all the time. I'm often irritable and sometimes just want to scream at everyone. I hate the emotional effects it has on me, but I think the positives outweigh the negatives."

For Birth Control "I've been on Yaz for 2 1/2 years, and I love it! My breasts grew a cup size, which was great for me because I was barely a B starting out. Definitely helped with acne and mood swings. I still get the occasional food cravings before my period is about to start, but overall, I love it. My doctor okayed me to skip the sugar pills in my packs, so I only get a period every 6 months or so. Nothing but good things to say."

For Birth Control "I was on Yaz for about three months. I became moody, emotional, it gave me headaches, lowered my sex drive, and gave me anxiety. I just did not feel like myself on this pill. I have since switched to LOESTRIN, and so far, it's been good. No side effects yet. I'm feeling like myself again. My sex drive is still not what it used to be, but I understand that most birth control pills cause a decrease in libido. I personally do not recommend Yaz, but I know that each pill works differently for different people. My friends that were on Yaz said the same things that I am saying."

For Birth Control "I was so scared of going on birth control because I didn't want to gain weight and also wanted to prevent pregnancy. My skin has gotten spotless clear, and my weight is the same (unless I wait for my withdrawal bleeding, then I wait 3 days after my period to go back on it), but it ranges from 98-101, and it really hasn't affected it! I love this pill. Yaz has regulated my cycles and reduced my PMDD symptoms such as bloating, acne, etc. No mood swings. The only reason why it's an 8/10 is because my skin broke out the first 2 weeks, but after that it's clear as day."
