"Nikki has improved my life so dramatically. I was on birth control from ages 14 until 27 when I started trying to get pregnant. After my son was born, I decided to stay off the pill and see how I felt. The first year was okay, but then my periods became irregular and I started to have horrible mood swings. I would feel almost euphorically good for a week or so after my period ended and then live in two weeks of nightmare living. (irritability, depression, low energy) I started reading more about PMDD and decided to give this a try. The first three days I had really bad headaches. I have also experienced some nausea and also random increased anxiety, which oddly always seems to happen after eating. Perhaps the anxiety is related to the nausea? Overall, my mood has been much more stable all month long. No highs, lows, or angry outbursts. No weight gain - I think my stomach is actually feeling flatter. I plan to take this for three months continuously."

"I started taking this medication in August, and within the first week, I noticed vaginal bleeding and some cramping. I thought maybe it was just my body getting used to the change. I have been bleeding nonstop since I started this medication in August, I was told it is still adjusting. Then starting in October, I’ve noticed severe cramping, fatigue, having strong fatigue, and still more bleeding. I honestly thought there was something wrong with me, so finally, I decided to go back to my old birth control, Primella. I would not recommend the Nikki!"

"I have never written a review, this is how awful Nikki is. I was on Loryna for months, and it worked perfectly (in combination with Prozac and Buspar). I started Nikki, and not only have my PMS mood swings come back, but it is seriously as if Nikki is making my antidepressants and anxiety meds completely useless and ineffective, regardless of the time of month. Also, I've been spotting between periods, which is obviously less than ideal. On Loryna, I had absolutely no breakthrough bleeding, even when I started. I asked the pharmacist if switching from Loryna to Nikki could be the cause of the mood swings and breakthrough bleeding (even though they are both generics for Yaz), and she said it can definitely happen, especially given literally nothing in my life has changed except my birth control. 0/10 do not recommend."

"I started taking Nikki birth control for my PMDD. Long story short - it helped my PMDD symptoms greatly but caused other problems. I started to have facial discomfort and then chest pains. I was admitted to cardiac ICU due to SVT (supraventricular tachycardia). My heart went from 85 to 210 bpm - the ER gave me adenosine twice with no result (which means if you seriously don’t have heart issues like I don’t, then adenosine won’t work). So they took me off Nikki and found that my blood clot level was high. Since taking me off, it has gone down. I’m on a beta blocker for two weeks and a heart monitor. The internal medicine doctor and two cardiologists all believe it is due to Nikki. Nikki’s active ingredients may cause stroke, heart arrhythmia, and other vascular issues. A little pain or getting dizzy and nauseous like I do, just try Dramamine during your luteal PMS phase and fight it. Drink chamomile tea. I’m 27!! Read your medication information! Research them. It’s your due diligence to your life!"

"Nope! My pharmacy switched me to Nikki birth control pill from Gianvi, which I had previously been on for months. My first month on Nikki was okay, but I noticed that I was experiencing severe cramping the week before I started the 'white' pills. This stayed consistent. Now on month 3, I have experienced nonstop bleeding for more than a week, extreme abdominal cramping, trouble sleeping, bodily fatigue, which has impacted my work (I work a very active outdoor job) and, as of last night, more bleeding. I thought there was something severely wrong with my body until I looked up reviews for this pill. I do not recommend this Nikki! I’ll be stopping immediately until I can find a pharmacy that will transfer me back to Gianvi."

"I took one Nikki pill, and my life went to shambles in three days. I went absolutely crazy emotionally. My anger, depression, and anxiety went through the roof. I usually take .125 of Klonopin as needed for my anxiety - I took 1 mg, and it didn't even help. My PMDD is pretty severe, but this almost ruined me. We'll see how long until I feel normal again or if I cause more emotional wreckage - it's only three days later."

"Honestly, I was an emotional wreck before taking Nikki. Now, I've never felt so normal in my whole life. It's such a breath of fresh air."

"I literally do not recommend Nikki for any female ages 18-25 years old. I’ve been taking it for 6 months, and I cannot tell you how badly it has affected me. The depression was so bad, and my emotions were not in check. I cried if you looked at me wrong or even breathed wrong, I felt like. I’ve been off of it for a week and felt like I’m going through a drug detox: throwing up, headaches, and sweats. I had bruises so dark in a different spot with every set of pills. So please, if you are hesitant, don’t take it. I should have stopped a long time ago because after being off of it for a week, I’m finally myself again."
