For Birth Control "I started taking this pill to clear my acne. This has been such a terrible pill. All I want to do is sleep, I’m constantly tired and nauseous all the time, and I normally have a very strong stomach. Smells make me feel super sick, like the smell of popcorn made me gag, and I love popcorn. I can barely eat - today I had a piece of toast and some pretzels, and that’s it. Normally, I snack throughout the day. All I want to do is lay in my bed and drink ginger ale. I’m stopping this medication tonight. Even if it did clear my skin, feeling sick constantly isn’t worth it. Try other birth controls!"

For Birth Control "I really don't like this birth control, Loryna. I switched to it and was told I would not be getting my period anymore, and for the last 4 months, I have had a period. I am constantly bloated and irritable, and I wake up nauseous a few times a week. Loryna does not agree with me."

For Acne "This pill made me admit myself to the hospital. I've been on and off BC pills for a while because I never really found one that helped my acne, and the side effects were usually depression and mood swings. My doctor prescribed Loryna to me for my blemishes and back acne, and it was wonderful for the first two months, seeing that my skin started glowing within the first week! I also lost weight because of a little nausea, but that was nothing to me. Headaches began after the first month, but I knew they would go away soon, as they did. So everything seemed to be perfect until I woke up suddenly one early morning with severe, awful, terrible stomach pain and thought I was going to die on the toilet in cold sweats. It's in the trash now."

For Birth Control "Loryna was the first-ever birth control I've ever taken, and I've been using it for around five months. At first, I had nausea spells, and my boobs were really tender, but that went away within the first month or so. Before taking it, I had the worst cramps imaginable, and there was never a time when my skin was clear. Since taking it, my periods are light, I don't cramp at all, my skin has cleared up tremendously (still breaking out on chin/cheeks a bit, but that could be from me wearing a mask at school/work/etc.). My boobs actually went up a cup size. The reason I'm actually switching to another pill, though, is because of my mood swings and the weight gain. I have been extra irritable and sensitive to the point where I don't know how I acted before the pill, and since taking the pill, I've gained 15 pounds. I am scared of switching since Loryna was good for me, but I want to see if there is a pill that will help my mood, clear my skin up more, and get myself back to my regular weight."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I was prescribed this for my severe PMDD. Initially, I had several days of breakthrough bleeding, once that stopped, my skin slowly started becoming terrible. My once perfectly clear skin now has blackheads all over my chin, my pores were starting to look bigger and just greasy, and now my chin has zits all over it, some under the skin. My forehead started breaking out too. I also developed restless leg syndrome, my stomach bloat is insane, and the closer I got to the placebo pills, I felt constantly angry and ready to snap on everybody. It was starting to severely affect my moods and relationship. I also would feel very nauseated and just ill if I waited too long between meals, almost like when I was pregnant. I stopped after the first pack, and it's now in the garbage. Would not recommend to anybody. It was free under my insurance, literally the only positive."

For Birth Control "Got on Loryna after giving Tri-Sprintec a go. I mainly got on birth control for my acne, and neither really helped in that department. I’ve been on Loryna for 3 months now and still get cystic acne, I think even more so than before, all over my chin and cheeks (before starting BC, my acne was only limited to my chin). In my first couple of weeks on Loryna, I also experienced heartburn, nausea, moodiness, extreme fatigue, and bigger boobs (which is the only good side effect, lol). Since then, I still experience some spotting, but other than that, no side effects. Your body will likely adjust after time. But my acne never got better. As far as weight gain - don’t trust the reviews. If you take care of your body, stay active, and eat right, you will not gain weight. I did not experience weight gain, but I’m an extremely active person and eat well. Although it was a little hard to be as active during the first 2 weeks due to the fatigue, which eventually went away."

For Birth Control "This is by far the worst form of birth control. Ever since I started taking this Sunday (it is now Wednesday), I have had migraine headaches, am extremely nauseous, and vomit after everything I eat, after forcing myself to eat for energy; even though I am not hungry. The upside is I have lost 3 lbs in 4 days! Someone told me it is just my body getting used to it?!? I’m not sure if I believe that, as I have never had any side effects like this with other pills."

For Acne "I just stopped taking Loryna today. I came to this feed before I started taking it, hoping that I would be one of the lucky ones to actually benefit from this birth control. Unfortunately, it's only been a little more than a week and a half, and for the past week, I have had chronic heartburn. Burning in my chest. Burning in my stomach. And this may be TMI, but I'm constantly burping and feeling nauseous. It just doesn't seem worth it to me to stay on this birth control if I'm going to feel terrible every day I'm on it. Going to be switching to another generic version of Yaz or going to switch to the name brand. It does do wonders for your skin. I feel upset to even stop for that reason, but I just want to feel normal again."

For Birth Control "As I read through the comments, I want to remind everyone that we all have different bodies. Personally, I have a high level of hormones and tend to break out often. I have tried multiple brands and have had pretty bad symptoms. I tried this brand, and like all BC, the first few weeks I had symptoms, especially nausea, as my body was getting adjusted. I’ve been taking this brand for about 2 years and now have beautiful skin and short, less painful periods. If you have similar issues as I did, I would highly recommend giving this brand a try. Hope this was helpful for other women who suffered from acne and elevated hormone levels."

For Birth Control "On Loryna, I have had migraines almost on a daily basis. I have felt nausea and high anxiety. It did help me with controlling my heavy flow."

For Menstrual Disorders "This medicine is by far the worst, literally. Instead of help, it makes me feel really tired, a lot of nausea, and vomiting."

For Birth Control "I feel like I am pregnant... with a girl. Horrible fatigue, terrible acne, nausea/vomiting, headaches, body aches, no energy, no sex drive, and depressed. I was fine before I started taking this pill."
