For Birth Control "It took me a few tries to get the right birth control for my body, and once I found Loryna, it was perfect! All my acne disappeared, I went from an AA cup to a B cup in bra size, and it made my painful and irregular periods go away and made them bearable and regular. I never had any mood swings, just normal PMS like everyone has. Slight weight gain, but it went away after a month. This pill also goes well with the anxiety medication I take, so I highly recommend it."

For Birth Control "I have been on Loryna for 6 years now. I also have been on birth control since I was 17 and now 26, with no breaks. I have no periods ever or spotting. My face is clear normally. No weight gain at all, I lose weight more than gain. I have read mixed reviews about this birth control, it can be good or bad. I have had no problems with the pill unless I forget to take it one day, then I may break out with pimples. I enjoy this birth control due to no problems. I recommend trying it, if it does not work, get off of it. Most birth controls are not good for you anyway, it's not healthy, but being a woman, we all need it for many different reasons."

For Acne "I went on Loryna with little experience with birth control - mainly just wanting a contraceptive but also hoping to clear the hormonal acne I'll occasionally get. I'm only on week 3, but I can't go any further with it. I'm like the walking dead; constantly tired and in a zombie state. The worst part, though, is the HORRIBLE acne it gave me. I've had hormonal acne in the past, but never in my life this bad. It's practically covered my ENTIRE face, including one the size of a quarter on my forehead. It looks like I'm about to grow a horn. It's just painful, and my confidence has plummeted because of it. Terrible stuff - I can't stick it out for three months to see if it even improves because of how bad it is."

For Birth Control "It completely worked for birth control. Even if I forgot to take it for a couple of days, I never had a pregnancy. But the past 2 1/2 years I started to break out badly, and I would feel a pain in the opening of my vagina during sex. It literally felt like I had a cut in a certain spot. I had it checked out immediately by my gynecologist, and he couldn't figure it out. I stopped sex for up to a month to see if it was something that needed to heal, and it never went away. It was so painful I would almost cry every time, and it made me scared to have sex. I never once thought it could be the pill, but I recently stopped taking it just to take a break, and that pain went away in a week! And I also got pregnant within a month of stopping too."

For Birth Control "I was on this BC for three months (they tell you to wait three months to test it out). The first month consisted of horrible mood swings and headaches. For the past two months, I have been bleeding brown blood discharge daily, and my acne has gotten ten times worse. I had acne before I started Loryna, but by the third month mark, I had cystic acne on my chest and back. PAINFUL acne. I am going to my gyno tomorrow to switch."

For Birth Control "I was on the implant for 3 years after getting diagnosed with PCOS. I bled constantly. I had a horrible mood, acne, etc. My OBGYN uses this for 'her PCOS girls' and pretty much has had success with all. This pill has changed my life. Anyone experiencing PCOS, look into L."

For Menstrual Disorders "The good: I started taking Loryna about 6 weeks ago. I have endometriosis. I have since had one menstrual cycle that was normal and virtually painless (yay!). Concerns: Has anyone experienced dizziness or slight vertigo more easily after starting this pill? I have been on a few different BC pills for 20 years, but I don't quite remember this feeling. Looking down at something I'm reading or doing downward dog pose repeatedly or for longer durations makes me feel dizzy and nauseous. My breasts are tender and sore (that took 5 weeks to kick in!), and my face is breaking out all of a sudden. If you've taken this and had dizziness/nausea easily, please let me know what you did to help stop it! Or whether I should stop the pill?"

For Acne "I took Loryna for two months. I didn't have any side effects except it gave me back zits! Gross. Every day a huge new one would pop up. I never had that problem with Gianvi, so I switched back to Gianvi this week and zero back zits have formed. I'm sticking with Gianvi. Loryna and Gianvi have the same hormones, but they are not made with the same inactive ingredients, which can cause issues."

For Menstrual Disorders "Age 15 before the pill, now 21. The pill was originally called Gianvi. Before starting, periods were painful and heavy. I was unable to wear tampons and had to change pads almost every hour. I had moderate acne, the type that never 'turned white.' Large cyst-like zits on my forehead. My back was broken out. This pill completely cleared my skin and made periods manageable. Instead of bleeding for an entire week, I would bleed for a few days and not as heavily. I got my period at the same time every month. Unfortunately, I did lose 2 cup sizes. I began a relationship with my boyfriend shortly after starting the pill and have never gotten pregnant. Recently stopped the pill to try the patch because I am forgetful. Big mistake."

"I am currently finishing my 3rd pack of Loryna, and it is the absolute worst generic brand I have been on. I have taken both Vestura and Nikki, and on both of these, I had no side effects whatsoever. Now, on Loryna, I have had breakthrough bleeding for over 2 weeks, constant pain and irritability, and my acne (which I have not had a breakout in over 2 years) is back. I am switching over to Gianvi now and am hoping for better results."

For Menstrual Disorders "I highly dislike this BC! My doctor prescribed me Loryna because I have PCOS causing irregular periods. So I decided to try so that I can regulate my period, and it has been hell! I have been really emotional, literally crying about everything. I get really crazy breakdowns to where I'll sit in my car and cry for almost an hour. I fight with my husband over the most stupid things. I overthink about everything. Because of being depressed, I turned to marijuana to cope. It is not me to feel depressed or to feel as if I want to hurt myself. The first time I got my period, my cramps were so painful to where I didn't want to move. I had a huge blood clot that came out, which never happens. Ever since taking this pill, my face has been covered in acne."

For Acne "Was originally hesitant to go on the pill in general, but my recent experience has confirmed my worries. I started Loryna due to hormonal acne and irregular periods. While I felt zero mental health/mood side effects the first 8 months, and it did regulate and lighten my periods, my acne never fully went away. It got way worse the first 5 months I was on it, to the point where I hated even looking in the mirror. The 7th month is when it slowly started to clear up, but even now, in my 8th month, I wouldn't say my skin looks clear; I still break out on my cheek and forehead. What really scared me is the episode of psychosis I experienced recently that I can only attribute to the pill. It felt like I was having a nonstop panic attack with suicidal ideation. I will be stopping it after this pack because it is not worth the mental toll and never fully cleared my skin in the first place."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "Was given this in addition to Celexa to help with PMDD and general anxiety disorder. Was taking Jolessa for the past year, and it made my anxiety/PMDD extremely worse. On the second month of Loryna, and I am absolutely in love with this pill. In combo with my anxiety meds, it has taken away all bloat, my weight has started to decrease (gained 20 pounds on Jolessa), and my energy has returned. First period on Loryna was only 2 1/2 days with zero cramping. No acne. My anxiety and PMDD are still there, but instead of 2 weeks of nightmare, I had maybe 2 really bad days."

For Birth Control "I was switched from Ocella to Loryna when my doctor prescribed me Yaz. Both are generic forms of the drug. Three weeks into my pack, I became severely depressed and tired. I slept for almost three days straight and could barely get out of bed. My skin started to break out all over, including my neck, back, cheeks, jawline, and forehead - and I hardly ever break out."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I was prescribed this for my severe PMDD. Initially, I had several days of breakthrough bleeding, once that stopped, my skin slowly started becoming terrible. My once perfectly clear skin now has blackheads all over my chin, my pores were starting to look bigger and just greasy, and now my chin has zits all over it, some under the skin. My forehead started breaking out too. I also developed restless leg syndrome, my stomach bloat is insane, and the closer I got to the placebo pills, I felt constantly angry and ready to snap on everybody. It was starting to severely affect my moods and relationship. I also would feel very nauseated and just ill if I waited too long between meals, almost like when I was pregnant. I stopped after the first pack, and it's now in the garbage. Would not recommend to anybody. It was free under my insurance, literally the only positive."

For Birth Control "I haven’t gotten pregnant, I did gain like 5 pounds, but probably from quarantine, and I have taken it off now. I don’t think it has affected my hunger. I have so much more hormonal acne though, which was the purpose of taking this pill. I get monthly periods, but on the like 5th day of the inactive pills, or when the inactive pill week is over, it’s so weird. It took a whole year for the cramps and period to get lighter. I didn’t notice right away, but I think my mood swings are from this pill. Whenever my period is coming, I feel like I need therapy and can’t control the way I behave to my boyfriend or family. I'm finally switching to Tri Lo Sprintec next month to give it a go. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll go over to Junel Fe. I took that one for 3 years and felt fine, and the only reason I switched was because I hoped it would clear my acne and improve my periods. While it did help the periods, it took so long to work."

For Birth Control "I feel like I am pregnant... with a girl. Horrible fatigue, terrible acne, nausea/vomiting, headaches, body aches, no energy, no sex drive, and depressed. I was fine before I started taking this pill."
