Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I take one Bonjesta pill at night before bed. This medication is the only medicine that has helped with my extreme morning sickness. When I take the pill at night, I feel less nauseated in the morning. I can eat more, and I am not vomiting as much. I feel more like myself. I went from being sick 100% of the day to 20% or less some days. Definitely worked for me."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "My first trimester of pregnancy has been entirely brutal. Nausea from the time I woke up until I fell asleep, and sometimes even waking up to vomit. Many days I vomited 4-5 times a day. This medicine is not a “cure-all,” but it has helped me immensely. The drowsiness in the mornings is difficult, but it was way less severe than my nausea. This medication has made me feel slightly human again. Many of my other terrible symptoms remain, but my nausea is under much better control with this drug."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Absolutely improved my pregnancy experience by reducing my nausea and vomiting. I was prescribed 2 tablets before bed, 1 in the morning, and 1 mid-day because I was extremely sick. They always recommended it to be taken on an empty stomach. I only took 2 before bed with food (because I refuse to take any pill on an empty stomach), and it worked wonders. If I ever forgot to take them, I was guaranteed a horrible day."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I started out taking 2 nightly, but this medicine seemed to make me so tired I could barely function. I am now taking just 1 a night, and even though I still feel a little nausea, it's not all day, and my vomiting has gone away for the most part. It wasn't expensive for me. My insurance did not cover this drug, but I only had to pay $40 for 60 pills. It's a small price to pay for me right now!"

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This is my third pregnancy. My previous pregnancies, I had horrible nausea and vomiting. Took Zofran from the time I found out I was pregnant until the day I gave birth. With this pregnancy, however, Zofran wasn't working for nothing!!! Got prescribed Diclegis and took 1 at night (last night), made me very sleepy. Woke up and felt a million times better, though. I haven't felt like this in months! I finally feel normal! This is a lifesaver, my copay was $50, but it was worth every dollar! It's now 8:30 pm the next day, and I still feel pretty good off last night's pill. It did put me out like a light, but reading other reviews, the drowsiness shouldn't last long."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "At 10-25 weeks, my nausea never let up. When I say nausea, I actually mean vomiting. Every other day, I knew my meals were not going to end well. I expected this during the first trimester, but upon approaching my third trimester, I knew something had to give. I don't expect any drug to work tremendously during the first trimester. Since nausea/vomiting is supposed to 'return' during the third trimester, I decided to try this as the baby is now more developed. It worked wonderfully; I have been on it for one week and can now eat with confidence! I still have some mild, although less, heartburn. This is the only reason I rated 9/10. It would truly be a miracle drug if it could get rid of the heartburn I developed during pregnancy too!"

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "With my 1st pregnancy, I suffered from severe morning sickness to the point that I lost a significant amount of weight. With my second pregnancy, I started getting very sick again and mentioned it to a nurse at my OB-GYN office, and she prescribed me Diclegis. Prior to that, I had tried many other homeopathic solutions such as the Sea Bands and ginger. None of these worked for me. The Diclegis worked from the morning after I first took it until now. At 12 weeks pregnant, I thought I might be out of the woods, so I stopped taking the Diclegis last night. I have been nauseous all day and vomiting! It is obvious that these meds work. I will be taking them again for the next 2 weeks. Only complaint is I'm more fatigued than usual when taking it."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Diclegis is a lifesaver! Starting at week 6, I had terrible nausea and vomiting. It was so debilitating, I could barely keep anything down or function normally. About two weeks ago, my doctor prescribed me Diclegis 4x a day, and it's been a game changer. The only thing I've noticed is that I start to feel really sick again if I miss a dose or if I take the medication late, but other than that, I'm feeling great!"

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "It actually makes me vomit violently. It feels like it's burning a hole in my stomach. I've tried 3 different times. I have hyperemesis and I take Zofran and Phenergan, and when I try to add Diclegis, I vomit 10x back to back until it's out. Awful, awful stuff."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Overall, Diclegis has definitely reduced my nausea, so that I don't want to die 24/7. I can still notice the nausea some, especially when it gets closer to the next dosage. I am on 4 a day. It took two days to lessen the nausea, and I've still been vomiting once a day on average, and holding more back. I still need to keep my stomach full, but at least I can drink sips of water and eat some food, other than only toast. The first three days, I was a zombie. Now I can stay awake with caffeine in the morning, a nap in the afternoon. I don't know if I can return to work because I am so sleepy, which is the major negative. I was also constipated the first several days. I hate taking medicine, but I have two children to care for and was getting dehydrated."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Diclegis helps, but it does not work completely. You will still have vomiting and have to take it often if your morning sickness is severe. It can make you very tired and give you an out-of-sorts feeling. It was expensive as well at $40.00 a week worth of pills."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I am currently 11 weeks pregnant, and I have been taking Bonjesta for five weeks. I have missed one day, and in that day, I’d vomited five times. Bonjesta does not completely take my nausea away (as I still have days where I do vomit), but it does take the edge off. I highly recommend this medication. Please use a coupon when obtaining this drug from your pharmacy."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I wanted to feel better with Bonjesta. My doctor prescribed it at 7 weeks, and I have taken it twice a day, but I still throw up twice a day, and I'm almost at 14 weeks. This also makes you extremely tired and sleepy."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I'm pregnant with twins, and after 6 weeks, I started having severe nausea, and at 10 weeks, the vomiting came along. My doctor prescribed Diclegis. It works, the only downfall is the aftertaste. I have this horribly bitter taste in my mouth. I don't even know which is better: the nausea or the bitter taste."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This is my 2nd pregnancy, and the nausea and vomiting from the thought of food or taking prenatal pills was taking a toll on my mental. My doctor prescribed me Bonjesta. I took it a few nights, and the next day I had no morning sickness. It's working about 80% of the time, which is good. Just a huge caution: if you decide to take this during the day, make sure you have absolutely NOTHING to do. I made a mistake taking this at 2 pm in the afternoon, couldn't get up until about 8 pm. This pill put me on my butt! I fought the drowsiness as long as I could, but it won. It's now 11:45 pm, and I'm still tired. I will stick to taking this before bed."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I swear this is a miracle pill, the brand name I take is called Bonjesta. Before I started it, I couldn’t even function as a human being. I laid in bed all day, nauseous, or was over the toilet, dry heaving. Now that I’m on it, though, I can actually do things and function. I’ve made the mistake of forgetting it one day and felt like garbage the whole next day (completely with throwing up while driving) until I could get to my medicine and take it. I still don’t have much of an appetite, but at least now I can actually eat food and drink water. Before I started my medicine, I couldn’t and ended up in the ER for fluid and lost a lot of weight."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I took Diclegis generic for my last pregnancy and for my current one. In my last pregnancy, the Diclegis was a miracle pill that made life so much easier. This time around, I swear it’s a sugar pill, it didn’t do a thing. I was still vomiting every day. I had some Diclegis left over from my last pregnancy, so I tried it to see if there was any difference, and wow, is there a difference! I checked the bottles and come to find out the pills are made by different manufacturers. The one from Actavis actually works, it has the 2132 on the pill."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "At first, the Diclegis seemed to work somewhat. I was no longer vomiting, though I was still gagging at times, but I was glad to be able to keep my food down. However, now I'm in my 2nd trimester at nearly 14 weeks and taking 3 a day, and the nausea is on and off all day, the gagging is intense, and I have even thrown up a few times. I'm not sure what is going on, the doctor even took me off my prenatals to help the nausea, and nothing seems to work. I was planning on decreasing my dose soon and getting off the medication, as I'm still skeptical and concerned about the long-term effects it could have on my baby. This medication also makes me very sleepy all day. It makes it really hard to wake up at 5 a.m. for work."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "My doctor recommended this for my morning sickness. I was desperate to control the vomiting because I needed to go to work. I got extreme heartburn when I eat, no matter what. Eating was painful. If I skipped a dose, I would vomit uncontrollably. It was horrible. One day I threw up blood. I had noticed prior times that it seemed like blood spots, but I thought it was only in my head. By my 7th month of pregnancy, I still felt horrible and could not get off the pills. I started to feel chest pains. One night I woke up from the pain in my arm and chest. Very scary. I stopped taking the medicine that day."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have been taking Bonjesta since week 5 of my pregnancy for severe nausea and vomiting. It took a couple of weeks to work, and even while on it, I vomited now and again. I noticed whenever I forgot to take it, the vomiting and nausea would come back with a vengeance. This week (13 weeks now), I was feeling much better and also ran out of Bonjesta. I decided to see if I could do without it. For the next 2 days, I couldn't hold any food down, it was so bad. So, it does cause terrible withdrawal symptoms. I have restarted it and have already started to feel better. Now I am scared to come off it, but I plan to wean off very gradually. I don't want to take it forever."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I took this medicine twice with two different pregnancies, and both times, my baby’s heart stopped beating around the 8th week. I don't care what anyone says about this medicine and that it doesn’t cause the baby to die early on, I feel it does. It does help with nausea and vomiting."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Diclegis isn't working. Always sick and throw up twice a day at least. This is the worst feeling in the world. Had horrible morning sickness with two other children that went away around 15 weeks. Almost 12 weeks and counting the days. This is third and last pregnancy. Think about this being genetic and cringe and cry at the idea of daughters going through this."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This medicine is a lifesaver. I'm currently 8 months pregnant and hadn't gained weight at all throughout this pregnancy. I actually lost weight because I was nauseous, vomiting regularly, and couldn't eat throughout this entire pregnancy. I was taking Zofran, which did help, but thanks to Diclegis, I was able to start eating more, the nausea went away, and I gained 5 pounds in 2 weeks. I take Zofran throughout the day and 1-2 Diclegis at night because of the drowsiness, but this medicine is definitely a lifesaver for me."

Doxylamine / pyridoxine for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I am 7 weeks pregnant, my midwife gave me samples of Diclegis 5 days ago. Previous to trying them, I had nonstop nausea, vomiting, weakness, truly just felt like death! Day 1 of Diclegis, I was able to wake up, be semi-functional enough to where I was able to get ready for work pretty comfortably, but by mid-morning, all the symptoms came back. On day 3, I added 2 pills at night, 1 in the morning, and 1 in the afternoon, and I can tell you it is a miracle drug! It does take a few days to start working at its full capacity, but after the first few days, you feel almost back to normal! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!"
