For Osteoarthritis "Many here are saying that the price is about $2K. I don't know if every state has this, but it has changed my life. The Target near me sells it for $98.00. Pennsaid has helped my bad knees. I would not say it took all of my pain away, but it helped lower it. I like that it glides on the skin. I like that you can reapply."

For Osteoarthritis "I'm allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, and naproxen. My doctor knew this. He insisted that this stuff would be fine for me. He put a dab on my hand and said that since there wasn't a rash, I was fine. I put it in the places he told me to and then I got very, very, very sick. Lethargic almost. It was awful. Major, major, major stomach cramps and pain. My throat started to close up. It was awful. Do not take this if you are allergic to ibuprofen. You'll regret it. Some doctors truly are idiots."

For Osteoarthritis "I have been using Pennsaid for about 8 weeks. It is working well in conjunction with cortisone shots in my knees every 3 months. My insurance covered it totally, to my surprise! My only complaint is the pump on the bottle quit working on the first Rx before it was empty. It just quit pumping, and I had to wait till I could refill my next month supply. Poor design on the pump."

"It is too soon to know if Pennsaid will work on my joint pain, but the prescribing guidelines are almost outrageous. I am supposed to apply 4 oz (a toothpaste-sized bead that is about 4 inches long) to four locations four times a day. I can barely get 1/4 that much to soak in, there is no way I can follow these instructions."

For Osteoarthritis "I recently had an arthroscopic chondroplasty surgery on my knee, and I suffer from patellofemoral pain syndrome on both. I have had a hard time recovering from my surgery with stiffness, soreness, inability to go down stairs, bend properly, etc. I was skeptical about how a simple gel could make any difference, but boy, was I wrong. Highly recommend this product! I am like a brand-new person and often forget I had surgery until the effects of the gel wear off."

"Dr. prescribed for tendon/muscle problems in my elbow. Had injections that helped but were extremely painful. Used Pennsaid for 10 days and pain was mostly gone. Then, elbow swollen, reddened, with blisters and itching. Stopped using Pennsaid. Two weeks later, swelling, redness, and most blisters were gone. Itching continues. Use caution with this product, obviously didn't work for me."

For Osteoarthritis "I had a bad accident while snow skiing. After 2 surgeries and 1.5 years of PT, they put my shoulder back together but still had severe daily pain. I was taking Percocet every day to deal with the pain. I asked the doctor to try Pennsaid. In 5 minutes after application, the pain was gone. 5 years later, I have not taken a pain pill since! I just use Pennsaid. I consider it a miracle drug. Side note... it took a lot of work from both myself and my doctor to get insurance to start paying for it!"

For Osteoarthritis "The best I have found, unbelievably good 2%, but could only use for 2 days testing since the full cost for my disability is, with coupon, still $2600 a month. So sad cannot afford this that finally worked."

For Osteoarthritis "I've used Voltaren in the past and the generic 1.5% Pennsaid solution, but the newer 2.0% pump Pennsaid seems to work best. I use it on my knees, hips, hands, and feet depending on where I have pain (as needed). I have psoriatic arthritis and osteoarthritis, so I'm very glad I found something that gives me relief. I like the fact that the new Pennsaid has no odor because Voltaren has a strong scent. Cost is high, though. It's nearly $2,700 for one bottle without insurance. This is outrageous since it leaves many people unable to afford it."

For Osteoarthritis "I am 53 and have OA under my kneecaps due to patellofemoral syndrome and poor kneecap tracking. No swelling, but lots of pain. Can't take oral NSAIDs due to stomach issues. Unfortunately, despite applying this three times a day for weeks, there was no improvement in pain."

"I did an MRI, and the doctor found out that I have mild tendinitis in my biceps. So, he prescribed me this medication, Pennsaid, to use twice a day. So, I used it for just one day because on the second day, my elbow and forearm were red, swollen, and burning. On the second day, it started to itch so badly. I would like to post the pictures of my arm, after 10 days, it is still itching, scabbing, and looks burned. Reading the other reviews here, I figured out how expensive it is, and it is prescribed for osteoarthritis. I am convinced that the doctor was negligent in prescribing me such strong medication that obviously was not indicated for my case."

For Osteoarthritis "I had chronic pain in my neck from working a minimum of 10 hours on the computer. Couldn't even push when I went to the toilet. I had gravity do all the work. :( Three years of everyday pain. I had all the tests done (MRIs, CT scans) and all the treatments (physical therapy, acupuncture, massages, suction cups, muscle relaxer pills, anti-inflammatory pills, etc.). The only thing that worked till now were codeine pills. Until I found out about Pennsaid yesterday! I can't believe it! I'm pain-free since last night! I feel reborn! I was reading the other comments about it costing $2,000??!! That's insane. I bought it here in Greece for 13 euros. That's like 15 dollars."

For Osteoarthritis "I had a knee replacement and could not get rid of the swelling. Once my surgeon prescribed Pennsaid, boy, what a difference it made. This should be given to every patient having knee or hip replacement. Pennsaid made it possible for me to get to the next level in my rehab. Good stuff!!!"

For Osteoarthritis "My opinion of this topical medicine is far different from everyone else's. I've been using it for a torn meniscus regularly for two months, and I see absolutely no difference. I might as well be putting body butter on my knee. I'm very tuned into medicines, every little side effect and whether it works or doesn't, and this stuff is phony baloney."

For Osteoarthritis "Didn’t treat my pain at all. Instead, I experienced three of the side effects. I used it for two days and developed an incredibly itchy, raised rash that I had to see a dermatologist for. I also had excessive night sweats and shortness of breath. Worthless medication."

For Osteoarthritis "I have neck, knee, and lower back issues. My doctor gave me samples after the gel stopped working well. It did nothing for my neck but burned it. As for my lower back and knee pain, it went away a little for like 30 minutes, then everything was back hurting and in discomfort. Guess it's just not for me."

For Osteoarthritis "So far, I'm unimpressed. I've been using it for heel pain, and Pennsaid has not provided adequate pain relief. It makes the pain symptoms worse. However, it seems to be effective for knee pain. I have had better results with Voltaren without the exorbitant price tag."

For Osteoarthritis "This gives me the best relief for my knee and actually helps my fingers and knuckles when applying the product, which are also bad and arthritic. It is much better than taking NSAIDs, which are bad for the intestinal tract."

For Osteoarthritis "Pennsaid is the best. I have been using it for years on my arthritic knees with 100% positive results. When I retired and no longer had private insurance, I had a rude awakening. Medicare doesn’t cover it, and because I have Medicare, I don’t qualify for any coupons. I tried Voltaren, which doesn’t work. According to Medicare, it is the same. Well… it didn’t work, so I have been lucky so far to get samples. Some things need to change for retirees."

For Osteoarthritis "If you have ever torn a calf muscle or Achilles, you know how swollen and painful it is. The Pennsaid arrived today, and it began to work almost immediately. The pain went from an 8 to a 3, I am surprised to say I feel a bit buzzed from it."
