For Anxiety "This product helps reduce anxiety symptoms within 45 minutes or less. It can make you tired and glassy-eyed. So be careful taking this medicine. I really like this medicine because I can go into public places again without anxiety."

For Anxiety "I have been experiencing extreme anxiety due to the fact that my 25-year-old daughter was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This leads to extreme anxiety and sleep deprivation, and I am totally exhausted and just beat down. No energy. I saw my psychiatrist yesterday and was prescribed Klonopin, 0.5 mg twice daily, once in the AM and once at bedtime. Within a day, I am much calmer and slept for 10 hours. Praise the Lord. Things that got me cranked up just the other day just roll off my shoulders now. The doctor compared Ativan vs. Klonopin and said the latter stays in your body, which is called 'half-life,' is 3 times longer with Klonopin. If you suffer from any of my similar symptoms, please visit with your doctor about Klonopin. Male, age 61."

Clonazepam for Panic Disorder "I have been taking Klonopin for almost 3 years now. I take this medication for panic disorder, but I also suffer from bipolar disorder type I. Before this medication, I was very close to committing suicide because I was having horrible anxiety attacks that lasted for hours at a time and sometimes carried over into the next day/morning. Klonopin has eliminated my panic attacks. I still feel anxiety from time to time, and that's when I take 1 mg. I take half if I feel anxious at work and don't want to feel too tired. A dose of 1 mg makes me tired most of the time. I've taken 2 mg when necessary, never needing more than that."

For Panic Disorder "I've struggled with panic attacks, anxiety, and other symptoms stemming from post-traumatic stress disorder. First, my doctor gave me Ativan, which made me tired and helped with my symptoms slightly. After a couple of days, though, it just stopped working. I was then bumped up to a low dose of Xanax, which worked slightly better, but my dose kept needing to be increased because of the loss of effectiveness. The other problem I had with Xanax was that 15 minutes after I took it, I felt like I had a piano dropped on my head, and then 2 hours later, all effects were gone. Clonazepam, however, has been far more effective. It does not hit you all at once. It is steady and long-lasting. 1 mg 4x daily, and no need for a raise since I switched 6 months ago."

Clonazepam for Anxiety "I was switched from Xanax to Klonopin for anxiety by my doc because the Xanax was just making me feel ill and nauseated. The Klonopin is doing the same thing. I feel even more lethargic, weak, nauseated, and tired during the day. The initial prescription is .25 per night before bed. Since I wake up with the anxiety each morning, my doc agreed I could take it in the morning. On Mother's Day, I had to take 2 pills and still didn't calm me down...for no reason! I had a great day planned and still had anxiety. I think after all these rave reviews, I'll try it before bed again and see what happens in the morning. I just want to feel GOOD again!"

For Benzodiazepine Withdrawal "I was prescribed 5 mg at bedtime for a year because of severe PTSD. At first, it helped with acute anxiety. Nobody explained or warned me of how this drug works, so I just blindly took it, thinking that such a small amount is harmless. Had I known better, I wouldn't have taken it every day. Six months in, I became agoraphobic and couldn't feel anything: happiness, love, excitement, etc. It made me tired, lose my hair, coated my tongue, caused pain, and the worst sense of impending doom and anxiety. This drug is so dangerous and downright evil. It's only meant for short-term use. I will NEVER touch the stuff again! If I could give it a zero, I would."

Clonazepam for Anxiety "I have been on Klonopin for over a decade with success from my previous anxiety, frustration, and anger feelings. I rate this medication a nine because alone it's not 100% (it's used in adjunct with counseling and Sertraline). I take 2 mg in the morning, and the only side effect for me is feeling like me again; relaxed, confident, alert, and in control. The dosage is too much for most, but for me (with a high tolerance), it keeps me in control. Its long-lasting properties allow that I take it with breakfast and coast all day and night on it. I never notice an effect from it until I don't take it: Then the anxiety, indecision, and tiredness reappears. So I'm on it for life, and that's okay."

For Seizure Prevention "I highly recommend this. Whenever I feel something coming on, if I take this in time, it will take all symptoms away. Besides leaving me a little tired, it is totally worth it. Gives a sense of ease and reliability."

For Anxiety "After 2 months of my doctor giving me non-addictive pills to try to treat anxiety, and them working to no avail, he finally prescribed me a benzo, and this was the one. I quit my job, didn't leave my apartment for 2 years, was letting my health go. I take 0.5 mg when needed, and it has allowed me to make appointments, leave my place, and get my life back. I have been taking it for about 2 months-1 a day, sometimes 2, some days none. Depends on what the day has in store for me. It is long-lasting, and will put you in a zone of comfort and ease. It doesn't make me tired or dizzy like the hydroxyzine I was first given."

For Anxiety "Clonazepam would be a great medicine if it wasn't addictive and known to cause dementia. Those are the reasons why my doctor removed me from this medicine. When I took it, it helped take the edge off my anxiety. I didn't have many side effects from it, and I never became addicted to it. The only side effect I had was it would make me tired sometimes. That's it. Even with it being addictive and being known to cause dementia, I still give it a 7 out of 10 stars because it was very effective for me. It would have gotten 10 stars if it was safer to take and if it had ridding me of my anxiety completely."

For Seizure Prevention "Amazing. That's all that needs to be said. I take one at night, which makes me tired, and I have a great night's sleep and wake up feeling brilliant. I feel as though I'm 'cured.' Recommend to anyone, especially for myoclonic and absence seizures."

Clonazepam for Panic Disorder "This medicine works very well for my panic disorder, yet it is also a very strong drug. I was on Xanax for years until my doctor said that Klonopin would work better for me because it is a longer-lasting drug than Xanax. Well, he was right, it was long-lasting and made me feel tired all the time. That is all I did was sleep on this drug for 2 years until I had enough and told him no way. I want Xanax back. I have been back on Xanax for 12 years now with no problems. If you do not abuse Xanax, it is a great drug. Klonopin might work for you, if you are on it, great. People's chemistry is different. It just was not the right drug for me. Good luck, everyone."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "Was prescribed clonazepam 0.5 mg once a day before bedtime for RLS. Worked well for a few weeks, but after 6 weeks of taking this drug, I felt complacent and numb and stopped enjoying activities. I am now off it for 3 days, and the withdrawal symptoms are evident: tired, irritable, and anxious. However, I do feel better today, more like myself, and my sense of humor is returning. It appears this drug does work for many people, but it was not for me. RLS significantly impacts the ability to sleep and is difficult on lifestyle. Good luck to others reading, and I hope the post has been useful."

For Anxiety "I've been on and off this medication about 3 times. It has been a lifesaver with helping me with my sleep anxiety, which was so bad at times I would go 4+ days with zero sleep. It became pure torture and was affecting every aspect of my life. If possible, I would recommend getting a referral to a psychiatrist before getting on this medication. They have a better understanding of psychological disorders and will be better able to help you and less likely to shy away from medications that could be life-changing for you. As for getting off the medication, I've done it 3 times now with a very slow taper (took 1-2 months) and didn't have any withdrawal symptoms. Currently weaning without a slow taper, and I am paying for it. I was taking 1 mg and tapered to 0.5 mg for a week, then stopped. I am having headaches, feel shaky and exhausted, heightened anxiety on day 1. Hoping this will pass within another week, if not, I may go back on 0.25 mg for a couple of weeks, then half of that..."

For Night Terrors "I have taken clonazepam for over 4 years. I take it T.I.D., three times daily, 3-4 mg split in three (1 mg, 1 mg, 1-2 mg). I take it for PTSD symptoms that I experience. It is quite effective for GAD and keeping panic attacks away. But it only lasts about 6-8 hours, thus, I take it TID. I still have terrible nightmares, I sleep about 4 hours and wake up from a bad dream. I started splitting my evening dose into 2, taking half at 8 pm and the other half at 9-10. This helps me stay asleep longer. I still wake up with bruises from thrashing in my sleep or wake up with a gasp/scream. For certain problems, this medication is effective. But for night terrors, it is not for me since I do not get a full REM cycle. I do not get complete rest, I need a nap. And because of my exhaustion, I quickly move into the dream state of REM and have nightmares and then wake up. Not to mention it is physically addictive and it will take year(s) to reduce my dose to 0."

Clonazepam for Panic Disorder "I was prescribed this for panic attacks and anxiety. No matter the dose I took, it didn't help my anxiety, but instead, it would make me incredibly tired. It took like 2 hours to kick in for me, and the first time I took it, I nearly fell asleep while driving. I didn't like this medication because it didn't help me at all, but I did occasionally use it to help me sleep."

For Insomnia "It's helped my son with insomnia. He had 2 hours of sleep only for two days, after that, the doctor prescribed clonazepam for him, and he slept for 7 hours that night. Side effects: drowsiness and feeling tired."

For Panic Disorder "I am diagnosed with PTSD, panic attacks, and OCD. I have been on this drug for 2 days, and I think it's great. I am again able to drive without getting into a panic attack. It frees my mind from OCD thoughts, however, it does make me tired. I take .25 mg in the am and .25 mg at night. I am hoping the tiredness will go away with time."

Clonazepam for Seizure Prevention "This medicine made me confused, slur my words, exhausted. I was basically living in a fog for over five years. No amount of sleep helped, I needed to take a nap every day and would still be tired when I woke up. I had difficulty thinking, repeated sentences, had anxiety attacks. This medication is only supposed to be given for a maximum of 2 weeks. It's highly addictive, and the user develops a high tolerance. Long-term usage can result in brain damage, and benzos are the most overly prescribed drug in the world. Withdrawal was horrible, but worth it! I got my life back after getting off of it, and I don't have anxiety or seizures, changed my lifestyle, diet, and exercise."

For Bipolar Disorder "Works as designed, every time. Saved me from a lot of what could be bad days. Only thing is they make me a little sad, but a lot happier when it kicked in and my anxiety faded into the mist as quick as it came. The tiredness and sluggishness that you get sucks if you have to get things done. Keep this to yourself and don't tell anyone you take this because they will judge and call you something stupid. They don't understand how it is to live with mental illness, especially bipolar. Anxiety and panic attacks are real things we deal with in this specific illness and can be debilitating, to say the least. Klonopin is a good med, a lot better than alprazolam in my opinion. Way better than SSRI or mood stabilizer garbage."

For Bipolar Disorder "I live with seasonal bipolar 2, and my manic phases have been getting progressively worse; when they start in the spring, it's like I'm going 800 miles an hour, and my movements and gait are all off. I go from being a rather well-coordinated person to crashing into things and practically ripping doors off because I can no longer calibrate my movements. I can no longer figure out how to make coffee or use the TV remote. It's beyond awful, and I become completely dysfunctional and have to take 2 weeks off work. Then it starts to slow down, and I gradually get to 'normal manic', where I function better but am still a little speedy and overreact to things and can't sleep more than a couple of hours, which makes me exhausted. It was at this point that a psychiatrist suggested 0.025 mg clonazepam, and it was like a miracle -- I could fall asleep, woke up happy and almost calm, and it has stayed that way. I can work normally. I feel the mania is still there, but under far better control. Life-saver."

Clonazepam for Panic Disorder "I've been taking this drug since Nov 2018 for general anxiety disorder. Started at 0.5 mg at night and went up to 1 mg at night in 2020. Most initial side effects go away within a couple of weeks. I am dependent but not addicted. It makes me so tired, I have no desire to take it during the daytime, plus it has a long half-life and manages my anxiety. I started off with Teva brand and then Accord in 2019 when Teva dropped the drug. Teva last month reintroduced its version, and it's not as good as the older version. I've swapped over to the brand name at my own expense. It is worth the cost to have control of my anxiety. It doesn't work for everyone, and I would exercise self-control while taking it (no extra doses, alcohol, drugs, etc.). Also, it is technically not for insomnia, so it won't help everyone with sleep issues."

For Benzodiazepine Withdrawal "I was prescribed 4 mg of Klonopin a day for panic attacks and anxiety. I took 1 to 4 (1 mg) Klonopin a day for over 4 years. I quit cold turkey after 4 years, and I had no side effects that I noticed. It is concerning when it seems that everyone is having devastating side effects coming off Klonopin...and some with very small doses. I rate Klonopin a 10, and I think it was incredibly helpful for me. I now take it when I have major anxiety. I'll take it for a year straight and sometimes for just 1 or 2 days. I usually stop taking it when I feel I don't need it, and I've never tapered off it. I will take ¼ gram to ½ gram. Then I just stop after I feel okay. The time between taking Klonopin regularly is usually 6 months to several years. Klonopin has been a major help for me. I would highly recommend the drug for anxiety and panic attacks if I hadn't read these posts. I read that Klonopin is taken for intoxication as well. I get no 'buzz.' If I take >1 mg, I get tired though."

Clonazepam for Panic Disorder "I consider Klonopin to be a helpful part of my toolkit for lifelong anxiety and depression. I work hard to manage my mental health with exercise, a decent diet, therapy, journaling, etc. But every now and then something happens that leads to a big anxiety spike, which can spiral into full-blown panic. If I start to notice telltale signs like having a hard time eating or flushing across my chest, I take Klonopin so it can take the edge off enough for me to take care of myself and work through it. I have taken less than 30 pills in the 5 years I have been on it, but it is still a big (if rarely used) part of managing for me. It does tend to make me tired, and I avoid it if I am feeling more down than panicky. It has made me a bit weepy a couple times."
