"I have been taking 0.5 for about 10 years. It helps me sleep much better, where before I would wake up with a mind that wouldn't stop. I was on Ambien, and that was too much. Happy with my Dr.'s recommendation, as my dosage is pretty low."

"I have been on 2 mg clonazepam for more than 5 years. It has done wonders for my anxiety and panic attacks. When I informed the doctor I was concerned about addiction, he advised me I am dependent on it, not addicted. Addiction is the misuse of a drug, he said, big difference! I am allowed 2 mg up to 3 times a day but very rarely take more than 2. It has literally changed my life."

"The drug is great, calms you, lets you sleep with anxiety and major family illnesses. However, do not use on a daily basis after 30 days. I was not informed by my general practitioners (2) to be exact how addictive this med is. Now I am going through tapering (a nice word for withdrawal) after 8 years. It is the worst feeling in the world. Now trying to get into Med Detox. Be very careful with benzos. In fact, only take when you are dying. It will calm your death anxiety."

"Wonderful medication. I have been on 0.5 mg for many years now and sometimes take another 0.5 at night to help me relax and sleep. I do not drink, so that's not an issue. I have a sharp memory, so no problems there. I have a stressful life, and this really helps me to calm and focus myself. I am less shy and can express myself better at work when I take 0.5, which I do every day. It has helped me so much with my shyness and anxious self, I only wish I had sought out help earlier in my life. I am in my late 50s and have taken this for over 10 years. Frankly, my cognition and memory are better than others my age. I recommend it if constant worry and shyness are holding you back. Just keep the dosage steady, and don't increase if you don't need to. I do not have an addictive personality, so for me, this medication is great!"

"Took Klonopin for like 6 years, started on 0.5 mg and went up to 2 mg, but I usually broke them in half and took 1 mg. They are better to take during the day 'cause it doesn't make you sleepy, then I'll take maybe 2 mg before bed. It doesn't knock you out, it just helps you sleep through the night and helps you go to sleep some 'cause your mind's not racing. Well, they stopped working after the 6 years, so now I'm on Xanax 0.5, need to go up to 1 mg. They work much better as far as anxiety, I guess it helps some, but basically, I need to rest well at night. When I switched to Xanax, I didn't have any withdrawals from Klonopin, actually, I stopped the Klonopin (’cause I lost my insurance) for probably two years before I started the Xanax and didn't have any withdrawals."

"I am a survivor of Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs). I was misdiagnosed bipolar. I was re-evaluated 10-12 years ago because of a 'fatty liver' condition due to the Seroquel, a psychoactive drug. This misdiagnosis was reaffirmed when I became part of a DNA study. Each individual would need to participate at their own discretion. The point to my comment is for me... clonazepam has been, since 2008, now it is 2017, a workable solution with no side effects, health risks, or addiction issues. In 2017, I have been arbitrarily taken off of clonazepam by a 'physician's assistant' in the mental health field. 'We are not treating for depression.' This is not logical."

"It was a good drug short-term on 3 mg 3 times per day for 8 months, but then after stopping was put on Xanax 2 mg 3 times a day, extreme withdrawal. I still can't recover, my doctor got in trouble, so I get .25 Xanax 3 times a day, and I use street for the rest. These drugs can be hell. I wish I had a doctor to help just to taper, but no, Benzos are killers."

"Have taken these for a few years, and it's given me my life back. It's a much more even keel, positive experience than, say, Valium or Xanax. It comes on slowly and lasts for a decent amount of time. I can't say anything negative about it. I've gone a few days without it and never experienced anything dramatic. I think and function very well under Klonopin, and it gets a 10 in my book."

Clonazepam "This drug should not be prescribed for more than two weeks (and this has been known since the eighties). Most doctors in the USA don't have a clue about what benzos do to the lives of the patients they are prescribing to, and especially how difficult it is for patients to withdraw from these drugs. I was completely dependent on clonazepam after 30 days and remained on it for about eight years before I realized I had to get off of clonazepam if I wanted a chance to become healthy again. It took me 7 horrifying months to taper off, and I became disabled during that time. I lost about 85% of my long- and short-term memory during that time. I am educated, but I did not research this drug before I took it. Please don't make that mistake."

"This is the only thing that has ever worked for me and continues to work for me on a regular basis. As long as I take it according to the dose my doctor prescribed, I have never had an issue with this drug not working the way it's supposed to. On that note, I wouldn't say that it's for everyone, and if you are going to use Kpins, be aware that this drug can be addicting, and the withdrawals are next to unbearable. So use them with therapy for the best results, not just a script from an M.D. best."

Clonazepam "I am on a maintenance dose of 1 mg three times a day along with a different Xanax 0.5 if I am having a panic attack. I'm agoraphobic and suffer from anxiety because of multiple reasons. I find Klonopin is an amazing medication that helps tremendously. I wouldn't have the life I have today."

Clonazepam "A+. Couldn't function without it. Takes away that tense feeling in my brain. I don't have panic attacks, but I deal with a lot of anxiety that brings on severe irritability. Just one 5mg pill in the morning and one when I get home from work, and I'm free from all that. I can live a normal life and not let my anxiety ruin my relationships, work, etc. Lasts longer than Xanax and more effective, in my opinion."

"As an alternative to clonazepam, I tried a natural anxiety remedy called Zenapin, which was reviewed well by several sources. Stay away from Zenapin. This 'natural' remedy made me dizzy with a constant headache. Don't believe the hype. This product is bad for you!"

Clonazepam "I started taking lorazepam (Ativan) when I was 16 (I'm 32 now) for panic attacks and anxiety, 2 mg twice a day. They did work well but had a short half-life. I had 3 grand mal seizures when I was trying to come off of them. I switched to Klonopin 6 years ago because a new doctor said that they would keep me on a more even keel because of their longer half-life, and he was right! But even on Klonopin, which is addictive, I had a grand mal seizure when trying to wean off. So I just take my Klonopin as directed, 1 mg 3 times a day, and I feel normal. Some people try to say that benzos aren't addictive, but that's a lie. So just be careful when you hear others say that they can take their medication only when they 'need it.'"

"I've been on clonazepam for several years now, and let me tell ya, I don't leave home without it. It's almost more important to know that I have some readily available or have some at all than it is to take it. I guess that's the fear of the fear syndrome... hehehe. I've had anxiety/panic disorder ever since I returned from the Army and quit drinking alcohol. I reckon all my held-down-by-addiction emotions decided to come to the surface. It was terrible with all the panic attacks, and I've been on every antidepressant that's ever been manufactured, some worked, some didn't. But then there was clonazepam, my knightess in shining armor, hehehe. Yes, I'm on 2.5 mg twice daily and a little more if needed, but I rarely have panic attacks anymore. Love it."

"Was on this for 6 years. Helped a lot with anxiety but made me a drugged-out zombie who seemed drunk all the time. Warning: it will impair your judgment. I think it takes an hour to work, so the panic attack I was trying to stop is usually over by then. But it helps with the next one. I was on .25, then went up to 1 mg 3x a day. Dependence and tolerance happened. It helped, but I want to be me. If you aren't going to drive or have to make any important life choices, do not take this 24 hours before. The half-life is 72 hours. Hard to withdraw from. Withdrawal can have effects for months to years. Be aware of that. Dangerous drug. It and Xanax should be a last resort. Last. Resort. Panic attacks usually only last a minute, this takes longer to recover from."

Clonazepam "Many people are unreasonably scared of Klonopin's bad withdrawal dramas. Well... It is true. It is a painful process to get away from Klonopin once you stepped into its comfortable zone, but I want to say I would rather feel relaxed and comfortable than struggling with unnecessary anxiety caused by neurotransmitter imbalances. This medication truly gave me freedom from fear and agitation and helped me get back to my life."

Clonazepam "Best medication personally for anxiety and panic attacks. I have been taking 3-6mg a day since I was 16 and compared to all the other benzodiazepines, it has been the safest for long-term use. I have tried Ativan, Xanax, and Valium also and did not have good experiences due to many side effects, and they only worked for a couple of weeks for me. Personally, all medications have withdrawal, so why not choose the best medication for yourself. SSRIs are just as hard to come off of as Benzos because of withdrawals, but most doctors don't tell you that."
