For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Just beginning Cimzia (certolizumab) and now at one month shots, I actually woke up and my hands moved without pain and stiffness, so it works! The side effects are becoming less. The early side effects were fever and pain, even though it is now helping my joint pain. I have high hopes and will continue with this medicine. I am hoping for less pain and future joint damage."

For Ankylosing Spondylitis "I am 23, and I have had symptoms of AS for 5 years. When I took my first dose of Cimzia, I was in a really bad flare. I woke up 2 days after taking it and was able to clean my house, plant things in my yard, and complete tasks I hadn't done by myself in over a year. I had some nausea that went away after 2 weeks. I have only had to take Aleve 4 times since I started Cimzia 6 weeks ago. I had one night with what I would call moderate pain in the first week. This drug has brought about a major reduction in pain and stiffness for me. I want to recognize my AS is not very advanced, but this drug really made me feel almost normal after just a month. I will try to update my review when I've been on it for longer. So far, I am very impressed."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "This seems to work. I've been injecting Cimzia since March 2022 and have not had a flare-up in this time. I'm not at 100% as I do still have some pain, stiffness, and spells of fatigue, but I can function nearly normally every day. My latest injection bled a little, and I wanted to find out if this was anything serious, but just cannot find any information on bleeding - more information on injections would be helpful!"

For Psoriatic Arthritis "Been on Cimzia for almost 3 treatments, i.e., 3 months. It caused me a terrible migraine and never resolved the psoriasis on my hands. It caused pain and inflammation in my left arch and heel of my foot that radiated pain up the leg and into the hip that I just received a cortisone injection in. The pain is quite severe and lasts for at least 5 days after my treatments. I still experience arthritis stiffness and pain in my fingers and toes. I will now be trying Otezla, which sounds quite scary to take, but I will give it a try."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I experience so much pain, especially in the hips and legs. I have been on Cimzia for slightly over one year and have had numerous UTIs and bladder issues. Bladder and UTIs seem to be a primary side effect. I still have days when walking or rising is painful. I really didn’t know what expectations I should have had when I started the injections, but at this time, I am very disappointed at how my body has responded to the injections."
