For Smoking Cessation "I have smoked since I was 12 yrs old. Started smoking daily at age 15. I am now 51. Quit a few times for 3 or 4 months but always went back to it. On day 2 with Zyban and still smoking but looking forward to finally quitting. First day I took one in morning. Felt a bit funny but also was getting pains in chest n arm. Not sure if this was just a panic attack or what but going to keep going. If it gets worse I will have to stop taking zyban. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it was nothing more than a panic attack."

For Smoking Cessation "I was a heavy smoker since 13 years ago, 2 and a half packs a day. I am 31 years old, one day I thought I will never see my 50th birthday, so decided to quit, at first I took Zyban for one month, my cigarettes cut down to 10 a day within first week but after a week my body resisted. I continued taking Zyban for one month and nothing changed, so I decided to add Chantix to my regimen. After 2 days of taking Chantix 3 mgs per day I completely quit! Now its been 3 days I am tobacco free, only side effects that I think its from nicotine withdrawal is intense headaches all day long. I just wanted to write this review for those who fail to quit try combining drugs, specially for chantix, some of us may need higher doses to work, there is absolutely no interaction between zyban and chantix, this review is mainly for those who couldn't quit using one of drugs alone. I hope this was helpful"

For Smoking Cessation "When I say I’ve been on every drug for my mental health, I’m not even joking. And with no success 3 years down the track, it led me to do my own research. Wellbutrin was what I had concluded too, but Australia only has the equivalent drug Zyban to treat smoking cessation. Same active ingredient. I was, in fact, smoking, but I requested this drug from my psych who prescribed it off-label for depression. BIG MISTAKE. If you plan on taking Zyban, I strongly encourage you to get a public prescription from your GP as a smoking quit aid. It will save you hundreds of dollars. It worked like a charm, gave me motivation to do things, stopped all the impulses like skin picking and overeating, and within 1 week, I was no longer smoking. Although you have to actively replace that habit to not feel so empty and anxious (stress ball, exercise, new hand engagement hobbies). The only side effect I experienced was migraines and light sensitivity. DRINK WATER to avoid haha!"

For Smoking Cessation "After smoking for almost 30 years I am proud to say I have not smoked in 4 months thanks to Zyban. I felt strange taking it in the first 10 days and it made me not want to smoke because I had sort of a physical reaction when I tried to. It was weird, my throat felt like it was closed off so the cigarettes were no longer enjoyable. I thought I would have to stop spending time with smokers but the Zyban helped so much that I didn’t even mind when someone smoked in front of me. I also only took one pill a day instead of upping the dose to 2 after 10 days. I spoke with my doctor about this and she said it was ok as long as I felt one would help me kick the habit. I think that only being on one per day made withdrawals easier when it came time to come off the meds. My lungs feel so much better, I am glad I don’t stink anymore, the money I’m saving is incredible and my daughter is no longer afraid that I will die. I recommend Zyban, expect to feel strange for the first while."

"I have suffered with anxiety for many years which sometimes leads to depression. Zyban was prescribed for it First 2 days I was wired, my mood was focused and neutral I was not bothered to eat at all and just kept doing chores all day. I was wide awake at night. Day 3 I noticed I was constipated and ended up getting a mild laxative to help me go. On day 3 my anxiety came back although about 2-3 times as bad as before. Instead of being me with anxiety I felt like a shell with anxiety. I could hardly keep tears at bay at work. I simultaneously cared too much and not at all about everything. Everything seemed grey. I looked fwd to nothing. Felt no joy and couldn't smile. Constant adrenaline and fear. Was like a living nightmare. I had the odd moment of relief here and there where I could function but still felt like a walking shell. Now after 2.5 weeks I can't take anymore. I don't usually quit things but it's too much. I'm quitting cold turkey and starting on Ciprotan tomorrow"

"After trying almost all antidepressants after taking zyban my concentration my mood jumped from literally 0% to 100%.If you have depression and ssris ain't working try zyban you won't regret. Also I wasn't getting sleep all night but after zyban+mirtaz combo could sleep normally again."

For Smoking Cessation "I quit in 1997 using Zyban. The only problem I had was my hands shaking and I went to 1 pill per day vs. 2 and I was fine. I never looked back and was so grateful for this drug."
