For Smoking Cessation "Absolutely miracle med for smoking cessation! I smoked for 15 years (anywhere from 2-4 packs/day). Had the attitude, 'if I quit, I quit, if I don't, I don't'. Within 10 days, I stopped. I did experience a few side effects that were no big deal (insomnia, funny taste in mouth). I didn't have a 'stop-date', just one day I lit a cigarette, took about three drags, then put it out. That was 14 years ago. Took me about 5 years to say I quit - I always said, 'I haven't had a cigarette in a while'. I still have my half carton as my trophy ,-)"

For Smoking Cessation "I smoked for 35 years. Pack a day. I never thought I could quit. I joined a smoking cessation workshop run by a doctor and social worker from the HMO I belong to. They offered an 8-week workshop and 6-month prescription of Zyban at 20% of the over-the-counter cost for the drug. The first week of taking Zyban was accompanied by some side effects which I hated (waking up early, nervous). I spoke to the workshop leaders and said I felt like quitting the drug due to the side effects. They told me to 'hang on a few more days' and the side effects would disappear. They were 100% correct! I am so happy! I took Zyban for 5 months and then weaned off of it. I never have the urge for cigarettes."

For Smoking Cessation "In my 3rd week of taking Zyban. I smoked as usual for the 1st 2 weeks, 1 pack a day. Slowly, I started smoking less frequently, and only half a cigarette at a time. I am now not smoking at all, and more importantly, I don't even think about smoking. I have trouble falling asleep at night, but so far, that's the only side effect I am experiencing. I am finally on the road to being a non-smoker for the 1st time in 24 years."

For Smoking Cessation "Today, Feb. 14, 2017, marks 19 years of being a non-smoker, and I owe it all to Zyban. I had a few sleepless nights the first week or so, but the craving to smoke went away. I was amazed. I smoked for 32 years, and I loved them. I lit up as soon as I got out of bed. The only time I was without a cigarette was sleeping or taking a shower! At the end, I smoked 3 packs a day and heard my chest rattle. I've always been on the lean side, but I was worried about gaining weight if I quit. I did gain a few pounds but got a handle on that. Zyban was the best thing I ever did for myself! Many thanks to my wonderful retired doctor who prescribed Zyban."

For Smoking Cessation "Zyban is a very strange feeling. I have been on it for three days, and my urges are way down. I still fight triggers like coffee and post-eating, but even when I tried to smoke, it tasted very strange and made me feel a little dizzy. We'll see how the next couple of weeks go, but I'm excited to quit! The only drawback is it is really hard to fall asleep."

For Smoking Cessation "I'm glad I'm not alone after reading some of the comments and side effects. The first week was fine with 1 pill a day, second week I took 2 pills a day, yes, I had no cravings. However, I couldn't function normally. I felt mad, anxious, couldn't sleep, was grinding my teeth, and couldn't focus. Today, I didn't take the second pill, and I feel normal for the first time in a week. I decided not to take it anymore, I'll buy the patches. It's too bad because it does eliminate your cravings."

For Smoking Cessation "I will admit that the drug helps you quit. Unfortunately, I probably slept only a couple of hours a night while I was taking the drug. It all came to a head when I had a seizure at work, and fortunately, my colleague found me under my desk convulsing, and luckily I didn't choke myself with my tie. Scary times."

For Smoking Cessation "I used Zyban for two weeks. After five days, my head was heavy, I was nervous, slept a few hours, and all the time I was in some kind of nightmare, so I decided to stop. I’m not satisfied with this product."

For Smoking Cessation "Not as effective as Champix. Really requires a lot of willpower during the first week of cessation. Stopped using Zyban after the first few days off the cigs, my motivation is high, but it definitely helped. Side effects were restless nights and strange dreams. Felt much worse taking Champix, but that is more effective. Give Zyban a go while Champix is unavailable, but be prepared to push through the first week or so."

"After trying almost all antidepressants, after taking Zyban, my concentration, my mood jumped from literally 0% to 100%. If you have depression and SSRIs aren't working, try Zyban, you won't regret it. Also, I wasn't getting sleep all night, but after the Zyban + mirtaz combo, I could sleep normally again."

For Smoking Cessation "So the drug works, I am 30 days smoke-free. I only took Zyban for 17 days and stopped taking it 'cause I didn't feel myself. Also, I was having trouble sleeping."

For Smoking Cessation "I've been smoke-free for one and a half months and I largely credit Zyban for this. I am 40 years old, 15 a day smoker for 25 years. I have tried to stop smoking a few times over the past decade, but I end up very agitated and depressed, so resorted to cigarettes again. Previously, I have tried patches, lozenges as well as Champix, which worked for the duration I was on it, but gave me terrible nausea. This time has been quite easy, I credit Zyban for this. The first few days of taking Zyban were pretty tough mentally the first week; I felt spaced out, trippy, and also suffered a bit of insomnia, slightly blurred vision when reading, and teeth grinding. However, these all dissipated, the only effect I have now is minor dry mouth."
