For Major Depressive Disorder "I wrote a review previously on day 3. I wanted to give an update after day 10 since they advertise it to work by day 7. I rated it a 10/10 then, and I rate it a 10/10 now. I notice that I’m more productive and positive. I’ve kept up with cleaning the dishes, my apartment, and going to the gym. These things are easy for me to do when they once were a pain. I put away small stuff like my plate after I eat instead of just letting it sit there. The only negative thing that I’ve noticed is that at the 6-7 hour mark after taking the first dose, I develop a headache, and I can tell that the medication is wearing off. Auvelity requires you to take two doses a day 8 hours apart. I kind of notice the depression seeping through at around the 7-hour mark, but then it goes away again when I take the 2nd dose. I have PTSD and this med also quiets the ruminating thoughts and hypervigilance."

For Major Depressive Disorder "Unfortunately, this medication made me really sick. The side effects described came on after 10-12 days on the full dose: severe anxiety, loss of appetite, headaches. All came together with severity, so be careful with this drug. I had never experienced this before, and it was awful."

For Major Depressive Disorder "Really the first anti I've been on that made me feel like it was working. The first three weeks I had a cough med high that was pleasant. I've been on Auvelity for 6 months and had some strange side effects. I will gladly take losing my sex drive over losing myself in a dark pit. I can't say I'm doing a lot better, but I'm actually working with it for a change. I've been on them all, placebo effects almost always, but this hasn't diminished. Every antidepressant or antipsychotic did the same thing… start off great, then a few months later I was more aware of my depression and completely lethargic. I know this isn't listed on what Auvelity treats, but I suffered headaches almost daily and migraines 6-10 per month, but they have much improved. The daily headaches 90% improved. Migraines 75% maybe more. That alone is happiness."

For Major Depressive Disorder "I am starting my third week. I had nausea and headache up until today. Hopefully, they won't come back. I can't shake the suicidal thoughts, so not sure how the med is working. Hopefully, the thoughts will subside with time."

For Major Depressive Disorder "Just started taking the drug. You can feel the effects of dextromethorphan from the get-go. I was already on Wellbutrin, so I had to step down on my dosage to compensate. I've got a mild headache, and sex is still good. Make sure you get the savings card. Will knock the price down significantly."

For Major Depressive Disorder "It has really helped with my depression, and I have been taking it for almost a week, so it’s fast acting. However, the side effects are making me want to stop taking it. I have chest pain, jaw pain, dizziness, horrible headache, excess sweating, vision changes, shortness of breath, and I almost pass out every time I stand up. I’ve continued taking it, though, in hopes that the side effects will subside because it has drastically improved my mental health, and I no longer have suicidal ideation. I love everything about it aside from the side effects."
