"I was addicted to pretty much every type of painkiller in the book and was fed up with myself and my situation. I tried many times to stop but kept on going back so I could function and handle my severe pain and depression due to the withdrawals. Even when they stopped, I kept going back. Subutex helps you stay sober until you are in a better place when you can be off them completely. Suboxone/Subutex saved my life with the help of my NA meetings and my loving family."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I was on heroin for years! I never thought that I would change. I was constantly thrown onto the streets, jails, rehabs, and probations. I never tried subs because I never thought it would work. Three years ago, I was put on probation for a significant amount of time. I decided to try subs, to my surprise, it has helped immensely! I have not used a single drug, I now have my high school diploma, bought my first car, and got my family back! I suggest anybody struggling with opioid use disorder to give it a try! You have nothing to lose, everything to gain! It is not an end-game treatment, and you might still have cravings here and there, and it will only block opioids. But I was a poly substance abuse addict as well, and have not touched other drugs for a couple of years. I even quit smoking pot, which is a miracle in itself because I have a medical card and also thought I would have to live side by side with it for the rest of my life! Not anymore! It has actually helped with ALL drug cravings!"

For Chronic Pain "I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 12 years back. The pain was extreme the first year I was diagnosed. I was prescribed an overload of opioids and Xanax, along with the other basic treatment program. It only gave me minor relief, my life was over. The pain became so extreme, I had several shingles outbreaks, and then the shingles went into my nervous system (postherpetic neuralgia). I did some research about Subutex trials for fibro pain. I did have to beg an addiction doctor to take me on for pain management. They agreed, but I had to leave the Xanax and opioids behind to receive treatment. It was difficult to make the sudden change, my anxiety took some time to manage, but the pain relief was astounding. Finding a doctor who will use Subutex for pain management is not easy, but for me, it is worth the extra effort."

"I'm a mom of an 8-month-old. I took Subutex during my whole pregnancy and was told it was okay to breastfeed. My son was born perfectly normal, is the cutest baby alive, and is hitting milestones right on schedule. Subutex saved my life, and so did my son."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I was addicted to opiates, fentanyl patches (which I would cut up and chew on), Percocet, Lortab, OxyContin, morphine, dilaudid, etc. for over 15 years. I'm probably one of those that contributed to all doctors nowadays thinking everyone is just drug-seeking, and I'm very sorry for that. But finally, when I got married and pregnant again, after having 5 miscarriages and one ectopic pregnancy, the 7th pregnancy actually stuck. I knew I needed to get my sh** together. So I quit the pain pills and went to a Subutex clinic. I've been on Subutex 8mg, 2 and a half pills a day for the past 4 years, and it has changed and saved my life. I haven't taken a pain pill since the day I went to the Subutex doctor. BUT now the price for my script jumped from $25 to $150 overnight, which I can't afford. I have no idea what to do now. They want you to pay more to stay clean than you would to get high, honestly. Makes no sense. Subutex has saved my life though, so far."

For Opioid Use Disorder "Subutex saved my life. Over the years, I was on different treatments and also just cold turkey. Eventually, I would return back to the same drug behavior. Until I found out about Subutex. I've been taking it for about 8 years and no relapse. Thanks to Subutex."

For Opioid Use Disorder "Although Subutex saved my life and stopped my dependency on over-the-counter codeine products over eight years ago (I have never used any street opiates), it has provided a barrier to me receiving any pain relief for my back condition. The chronic pain I have experienced has caused me to go from quite a stable, happy person to a withdrawn, lonely person within a year. I cannot face people in this amount of pain, I cannot look after my place either. I cannot clean, I cannot stand for long periods, and I certainly cannot bend my body in any way because of pain. This is actually a diagnosed back condition I have, caused by a disc bulge in my lower back. Looks like I am now sentenced to a lifetime of disability through untreated, unmanaged pain. I also have a MASSIVE phobia of any medical settings and medical procedures that would usually require pain relief during or after now too. No help with ANY of it has ever been offered due to this med. Currently on 2.8 mg from 8 in 8 years."

For Chronic Pain "I am 44 and lived with chronic pain most of my life. I have a list of issues that caused my pain, including fracturing my back. I was on every pain medication you can think of, down to injectable hydromorphone. Every injury I got, I had to increase doses for the pain meds to work… I was so tired of being on the rollercoaster ride. I felt like the pain was taking me down… it got super costly because insurance wouldn’t cover any of the meds anymore. I finally decided I am DONE! I went into detox treatment to say goodbye once and for all to all the pain meds. I was given Subutex in treatment to detox me off all the other crap. It was still a rough detox because if you take it too soon after stopping the other meds, you go through precipitated withdrawals. Lucky me… anyways, Subutex saved my life. I am now on 2 x 8 mg in the morning and half in the evening. Subutex manages my pain way better than even hydromorphone. It lasts much longer than any other med too. I really have my life back now."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been on Suboxone and Subutex since 2014. I was on opioids for around 12 to 15 years. Roxy’s, Hydro’s, and really anything I could get my hands on, including drinking a whole lot. When I started this journey of subs, I thought it was the best thing that had ever hit the market, and I was very uneducated about it at the same time. This past summer, I started experiencing trouble with my feelings, not emotional, internal, my skin. Now my stomach is so messed up. Like two surgeries messed up, all due to this 'wonderful' drug. Because I have been on it for so many years, I have begun to taper down. I was on 16 mg of Suboxone, and now I’m on 2 mg tablets, 6 times a day. Has anyone experienced any withdrawals from the naloxone from switching to Subutex from Suboxone?"

For Chronic Pain "It has not reduced my pain. I suffer from RA and multiple skeletal issues. Four knee replacements, fused lumbar, one hip replacement, one severe arthritis, left arm was crushed with multiple surgeries to repair. The only change has been that pain meds seem to work better, but only for a bit. The biggest problem is that the doctor pushes Subutex to the point of poorly managing the pain. With multiple issues, this drug is not right for me. The only thing that works for me is a low dose ER and the ability to have a low dose breakthrough med."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been on Subutex for 15 years, and I only tried to use once, but it never worked. This drug saved my life. I started on 16 mg and very slowly reduced myself down to 0.2 mg. I stopped taking that 72 hours ago, and so far, no withdrawals except a few false yawns, sneezing, and streaming eyes, but no stomach cramps and no restless legs. I had no control over my heroin use, but the day I started Subutex, all my cravings went-using once in 15 years is a miracle. I highly recommend Subutex. I was an IV user and methadone addict, and now I'm totally drug-free. You have to want to get clean for this drug to work, but if you believe in its ability, this drug will save your life. Thank you, doctors. Thanks, Subutex, my wonder drug."

For Opioid Use Disorder "15 years on Subutex in the UK, now have a job, family, house, big motorcycle. I have been stable for many years and have noticed that different batches of Subutex can be slightly different, but this last batch, B.N. 023103, is the worst. I feel so bad I even feel like quitting my job as it has been a huge struggle for 2 months. My symptoms are like withdrawals. I can function, but it's very hard, I haven't used in many years. Trying to get help is almost impossible, so I had to contact Indivior myself, which was not easy. Now I'm hopefully getting a different batch sent to my pharmacy, but will they be better, and how long will the batch last? I don't know. Have tried generic Sandoz, but in the past they were inferior to Subutex. Don't be fooled into thinking all buprenorphine is made the same. Hope this helps someone to not be in my shoes as it seems there are no real forums in the UK or support of this kind."

For Opioid Use Disorder "Well, I agree with plenty of comments regarding how helpful it can be. Just feel it's ruining my insides, teeth, and bones after being on it so long-9 to 10 years-but then again, as others have said, I may stay on it for life because I'm not getting any younger, etc. Is it worth risking relapse?! I don't even smoke weed or cigarettes anymore. Have used on top about a handful of times, which isn't too bad in nigh on a decade because, luckily, I had helpful keyworkers. With the pandemic, I rarely see counselors, let alone GPs, so it'd take forever to get back on it. Was on 20 mg, now 12 + a weekly script, as I can't tolerate that daily supervised dose malarkey. Really makes me feel down/inadequate, etc. Did try the monthly injection recently to get off Buphenorphine, however, I had 0 energy, and the lethargy is overwhelming. Slowly does it when coming off this with plenty of relaxation."

"Subutex, others like it, such as Suboxone, are, in my opinion, a miracle to the world of medicine. They are a safe and effective alternative to drugs such as Methadone when used correctly and not abused."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been on and off the Suboxone and now on the Subutex for the last 12 months, and I've found it so much better in so many ways. It's been super helpful but also super annoying and holding me back in a lot of ways, like not being able to go away for more than 5 days at a time, having to go into the pharmacy weekly, etc., etc. and also trying to overcome the pains and hangouts to get off of it altogether. So I'm changing to the injection at the end of this month and hoping it works and helps me become clean off Subutex."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "This medicine is truly life-saving! One and a half tablets is all I need (#45 a month) and I have zero cravings and feel completely normal! The Sublocade shot doesn't work! Stay on the Subutex tablets, they work! I would highly recommend this medicine to anybody for pain and OUD."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "I have read every review on this medication and there seems to be one common thread. Every person that is addicted to opioids has a need to explain why, when, where, and how because that’s what opioids do…they change your brain chemistry. Every person's reason is valid to them. I promise I’m not on a soapbox, I just wish after all these years someone could show me how to fix that part. I had been on pain pills for several years for chronic pain. My last year on them, I was prescribed 3 80mg oxy per day, 6 30mg oxycodone per day, 4 soma per day, and 3 1mg Xanax per day. I have been on maintenance buprenorphine now for 8 years at 24mg/day, until recently I was given an extra dosage up to 32mg/day. In my experience, it gave me my life back. I’ve only taken this medication for 8 years. It does not cover my pain completely. If I had to put a number on it, I would say maybe by 50%, but what’s my alternative? I would have died eventually by being prescribed that much medication."
