For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "This is an update. I did my first review 24 hours after receiving a 300 mg injection. I gave it the highest rating possible at the time. I’m happy to say I stand by that as of now, and it has been two weeks since receiving. Naturally, I have that hideous lump about the size of a grape under my skin. Nobody tells you how big, they just say a small lump, which is very subjective. I’ve had no redness, no itching, no pain unless I bump into it, then, it’s tender. I’ve had no withdrawal, no cravings, no side effects related to opiate use, or in comparison to Suboxone. The shot is much better for me because there’s not that roller coaster of up and down as your dose wears off. My plan is to receive this one and only shot and then be done with it all. I will review again at approximately six weeks. Good luck to all! Oh, I’m sorry, I did feel a little bit high for the first two or three days while my body adjusted, then it was just normal, kind of like the first time I took Suboxone."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "This wasn’t a godsend for me. I think that there’s not enough known about it currently to suggest it to everybody. First off, buprenorphine is buprenorphine. This is the same medicine as Suboxone, so there’s no way someone on 8 mg and someone on 24 mg are going to be okay on the same dose. Doctors will tell you it’ll be fine and that they don’t know how much it really releases every month, but after looking into it, this thing releases 2 mg a day, and that reduces to one and then half of a mg, which is why most people go through withdrawals for a week or two after changing from stripe to the shot. I personally did. My doctor said almost everyone has a week of WD. This is only for people on a low dose or who want to get off of it so badly that they don’t mind feeling sick. This is great if used as a stepping stone off of Suboxone. I would taper down and then use this to get off. You feel nothing and have cravings. Best for those on low dose wanting off."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I was on Suboxone for 8 years (4-6 mg). I decided to go the Sublocade route. I did have to increase my dosage to 8 mg daily before I got the shot. The shot itself was painless (my doc numbed me up before). At first, I HATED the shot, I was groggy, numb, and withdrawn. However, after two weeks, I started to feel better. I recommend that YOU DO NOT SUPPLEMENT!!! The whole reason to get this shot is to get off daily Suboxone. Yes, there was some discomfort in the beginning, but try to stick it out. My doctor recommended 3 shots total: 300 mg, 300 mg, 100 mg. After the first shot, I realized I feel fine, I called the doctor's office and canceled my next shots. There are some side effects, my constipation is horrible, I feel like I gained a few pounds (for some reason, I craved SWEETS the first month). However, it’s been two months since my shot, and I feel better every day!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I've been struggling with addiction for well over 25 years. I think that methadone hurt me far worse than helped, then the Suboxone strips for 7 years worked fantastically until I'd stop them in order to use, and by then it wasn't heroin, it's fentanyl. I've overdosed four times for the first time in 25 years, so on to Sublocade I went. It's only helpful if you have the money to pay for what insurance doesn't. Your doctor has to order it for you, and it's a nightmare. However, it doesn't hurt, it's great not doing repetitive things. Unfortunately, I started craving heroin or fentanyl and started getting high again, but today I have been 3 days clean, and thanks to the strips, I'm just not strong enough, I suppose."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I did 2 years snorting H before I OD. I got on strips with no insurance and couldn't afford them. The strips turned me into more of an addict. When I weaned myself off, it wasn't long until another OD. 5 months of strips, then two 300 mg shots followed by three 100 mg shots of Sublocade, and I have my life back. Haven't had a shot in almost 2 months. No withdrawals, no cravings. Thank God for Sublocade! I'm just thankful I never had a serious addiction to heroin that I felt when I first went off the strips. I have my life back. I would urge anybody that is serious about getting off the merry-go-round to get on Sublocade, it was a smooth ride off. No rehab, no meetings, just done."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "I’ve been on Suboxone 8 mg for 2 years. I received my first injection about 2 weeks ago, and the first couple of days were okay. After 5 days, I was in Suboxone withdrawal. Sleep is impossible, restless legs, stomach issues, etc. I received the 300 mg shot, and I believe it’s equivalent to 1-2 mg of Suboxone. My doctor said I have to wait it out and will not give me strips. I am craving opiates badly. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone on a high dose of Suboxone."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "I started Sublocade approximately 3 weeks ago this Tuesday. At first, I felt great. I had been on 16 mg for years and was tired of taking meds every single day. Now, two weeks in, and I don't know if it's me in my head or what, but I'm tired all the time and have literally no energy. I want so badly to call my doctor and switch back, but I'm trying to make it through. I'm also having cravings, which I don't understand at all. I haven't had cravings in years."

For Opioid Use Disorder "These comments are limited to people who are still alive after taking Sublocade. The people who die coming off it aren't posting here. My daughter died after taking Sublocade for two years and stopping for 3 months. Her cravings got so bad, she relapsed and was killed by fentanyl. Sublocade buys you time, but it does not treat the underlying addiction."
