Bismuth subsalicylate / metronidazole / tetracycline "Not sure if it's working, but one thing I can say is it makes my bowels move about 4-5 times a day, no matter what I eat, comes out. So if it's clearing the infection, it's also cleaning out my colon as well, I guess."

Bismuth subsalicylate / metronidazole / tetracycline "So far I am on day 3 and there hasn't been any bad side effects, opposed to what I've read from others about this medicine. I read that someone said that after taking this medicine for about 10 days is when they started feeling more side effects or began feeling worse. So far I have only had a slight metallic taste in my mouth and black stool, but nothing really serious. I did get a little nausea and an upset stomach from taking the medicine in the morning without food, so I recommend always eating breakfast first before taking it in the morning. I hope I don't feel any more side effects for the remaining 11 days. I will post again in about a week to tell about how I feel. Good luck to whoever takes this medicine."

"Made me extremely constipated going into week 2. I had to omit a day or two and take senna and Colace to have a complete bowel movement. Nausea and sluggish feelings I was having went away. It is a necessary evil. Please drink plenty of water and eat a lot of vegetables and fruits with this medication. You are not supposed to take laxatives while on it. So a soft, liquid, chew food thoroughly, fresh fruit and vegetables, sugar-free, no greasy fried, heavy, gluten, okay, you get it."
