Benzoyl peroxide / erythromycin topical for Acne "I have used this medicine two separate times for severe cystic acne. I never had a problem with acne until I was a nursing school student. This cleared up all my cystic pimples at that time. A few years later, they returned when I stopped taking birth control. I got a prescription for Benzamycin again, and they all cleared up once more. This product makes your skin somewhat dry but works wonderfully."

For Acne "The combination of medications is great and helps clear blemishes/pimples away. The only complaint is that it sometimes dries up white and looks bad, especially if you're going outside. I like to wear makeup when I'm going out, and I'm not sure how the combination of foundation and these medications will pair. :("

Benzoyl peroxide / erythromycin topical for Acne "Benzamycin is the only 'quick fix' I've ever experienced. 'Quick' being a month, but if you're looking for something to help while you work on a long-term health solution, I highly recommend Benzamycin. It was prescribed to me by my naturopath while we figure out why I'm still getting hormonal acne at 30. It started working on my pimples after a few uses and prevented my 'soon-to-be-pimples' from growing. I use Egyptian Magic face cream on top because I find the Benzamycin quite drying (but no flaking skin). I've been using it at night for two months now. Imagine the daily healing throughout those 5 weeks. It cost me $100 in Canada and will probably last 3-4 months. Good luck on your journey!"

For Acne "Okay, so I have never really had 'cystic' acne. However, I have had severe acne on my back since I was 12 years old, I am now 21. When I was 14, I went to my dermatologist, and he immediately had me put on Accutane. I was on Accutane for about 6 months. And yes, it completely cleared my skin. However, about three months later, it all came back. Ever since then, I have been on the benzoyl peroxide/erythromycin on and off. Tried Epiduo, nothing. As I now have acne worse than ever, all over my neck, and let me tell you, I scar SO easily. Every pimple leaves a scar, all over my neck now and also on my back from many years. I am currently using it and PanOxyl 10% benzoyl peroxide face wash, and it is working good, but am extremely dry and flaky!"

For Acne "Disclaimer: If you have moderate acne, this is perfect for you. If your acne is severe, I'd look into something a little stronger. I started using this about a month ago. I had moderate acne in several parts of my face that just didn't seem to want to go away. I started applying this to my ENTIRE face and soon realized that was a mistake. Please only apply it to your problem areas. This stuff will dry your face like you've been dipped in batter and fried. Another thing: do not put it around your eyes. Apply like you're wearing big sunglasses. I got some in one eye, and my upper eyelid swelled super huge, and my eye has been crusty for days. All in all, this is A for mild to moderate acne. Remember that it takes time!"
