For Hot Flashes "Nothing else I tried for over a year had worked. I hadn't slept for more than a few hours at a time, which was exacerbating moodiness and memory problems. Three weeks after starting Duavee the hot flashes were completely gone and I was sleeping again! Just to be sure the change was the medication, I tried taking a half dose... And the hot flashes stared up again. Taking the full dose now for 8 months and feel great!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have been on this medicine for four days and I am completely amazed at the difference in my life. I feel SO much better! No more anxiety or depression, I sleep like a rock and I wake up feeling refreshed and optimistic, whereas before I woke with anxiety or depression and even invasive thoughts nearly EVERY morning. So far, so good! Hot flashes are greatly reduced, but I am most surprised by my change in mood. Family doctor wanted me to try one SSRI after another, while my OBGYN gave me the Duavee. I am only 46 years old yet haven't had a period in probably a year. I had NO idea that my horrible anxiety and depression were hormone related. I literally feel like I've been given a new lease on life. I feel 10 years younger!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I could have dealt with the night sweats probably, but the extreme emotions were driving me and everyone around me crazy. I felt better after the first dose and every day since, I feel great, I can control my emotions. Duavee is my miracle."

For Hot Flashes "I tried everything. Nothing would work. My doctor recommended Duavee and in 30 days the hot flashes were gone. I averaged 2 hours of interrupted sleep a night. Now sleeping 5-6. Would highly recommend this medication"

For Hot Flashes "I was having hot flashes at least twice per hour and afer two weeks they were gone. I rarely get one now. I also wasn't sleeping at all, now I sleep like a rock through the night, I was also extremely moody, crying at the drop of a hat, that has decreased by at least 50% now. I've been on Duavee now for about three months. I feel so much better!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "65 years old and started in 2006 a Continuous Sequential system with Vivelle and Combipatch until 2015, when my doctor had no choice but to switch me to Duavee. It does not work as well for my vaginal area so I supplement with a DHEA suppository each week. My libido is less, as is my response. A plus for me taking estrogen is that I cannot take the medicines for my mild osteopenia. I have no postmenopausal symptoms with Duavee, but I have experienced weight-creep. I took an SSRI for seven years and the gain is exactly like that; the pounds melted away when I stopped Lexapro. I plan on taking this as long as I can, because life without estrogen is very unpleasant for me; depression, dried up all over, terrible anxiety. Fortunately, there is no cancer on either side of my family (my mother with a uterus intact took estrogen for 45 years) so I am hoping to be allowed to continue on Duavee for the rest of my life."

For Hot Flashes "After two doses the horrible hot flashes I was having have gone. I have only been on the duavee for 1 month, but I feel it has changed my life for the better, I am no longer depressed and hate to go places afraid I will have a hot flash and melt down, hair and all. To me its been wonderful so far."

For Hot Flashes "This helped tremendously with the hot flashes & it kicked in immediately. However, after 4 weeks on this my ankles are now cankles & I'm holding water all over which in turn is causing a ton of joint pain. I was always fairly athletic & edema was never an issue for me until I began taking Duavee. I'm going to see if the doctor can do anything to counter this swelling. If not, I'll have to go off of them because this is like 3rd trimester pregnancy swelling which I just can't handle. Has me sore & achey all over & I'm blown up like a balloon."

For Hot Flashes "I love Duavee and have been taking it for about 2 years now. I'm currently 51. I had hot flashes so bad; not just at night but during the day, also. It was life affecting, so I decided to try the Duavee. Took a couple of weeks for it to start working. It also helped with vaginal dryness. My husband said it also helped with my mood, although I don't know if I noticed that too much :) I'm currently weaning myself off, to see if I don't need it any longer. We shall see!"

For Hot Flashes "While duavee took away my hot flashes after one month-I continued on it for one year and I started having PAINS in my upper right side. Behind my right ribs, just by the Breast area. It continued for a few weeks before I called my doctor and she took me off the duavee I am now on bio identical estrogen gel and progesterone. I have been off of duavee exactly one month today. My pain is GONE. And a bonus is my blood sugars have dropped over 20 pts i have not changed anything other than going off of the duavee my new meds are working great after 3weeks !! No more hot flashes. (I did get them for 3-4 weeks until the new meds took effect."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "My doctor prescribed Duavee for post menopausal symptoms. I took it for 17 months. Over time, the side affects of this medicine have gotten worse. I’m experiencing hair loss, yeast infections, difficulty sleeping, leg cramps, backache, depression, weight gain and my libido is practically nonexistent. I stopped taking Duavee 2 weeks ago. I experienced withdrawals for the first week but I’m beginning to feel much better."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I've been on Duavee for 8 years now. I call it my happy pill. Very frustrated with two different backorders this summer. My Dr. had to switch me to another drug because we can't get supply of Duavee. Before Duavee, I tried all other HRTs and none stopped the bleeding. I was also having issues with brain fog and hot flashes but Duavee resolved those symptoms."

For Hot Flashes "I’m 56 yrs old and active. The hot flashes were unbearable and I felt dizzy and light headed all the time. I just didn’t feel like myself at all. It was depressing. Once given and taking Duavee it worked and the hot flashes and dizziness and other symptoms improved. On it now for 3 years and it was a wonder pill for me. There were no side effects like weight gain or body aches as many have mentioned."

For Hot Flashes "I'm 55, perimenopausal and my biggest complaint has been hot flashes. I've been on Duavive (Canada) for 6 weeks and I've been feeling so much better in so many ways, BUT I will likely have to go off it because I've had a terrible flair up of IBS. I don't blame Duavive in particular, I blame sex hormone supplementation in general as this happened 2 years ago while taking progesterone capsules and estrogen face cream (both bioidentical from a compounding pharmacy). I took a one year break from HRT, but my hot flashes and aching joints forced me to try again. I just wanted to mention this as some women develop IBS as it can be a symptom of peri and post menopause and taking hormones, for some, makes it worse."

For Hot Flashes "Been on duavee for 4 years, mainly for hot flashes and mood swings. The hot flashes have gone away , mood swings have lessened. I have developed horrible neck cracking and pain since I started? I’m having a hard time getting my prescription filled because of back order issues. I’m going to gradually go off and see if my hot flashes return and maybe the neck pain will subside? Hopefully no more mood swings!! Over all duavee helped with my symptoms ."

For Osteoporosis "My doctor prescribed the Duavee for osteoporosis not hot flashes as I was not having those. Unfortunately, this medication caused me to have hot flashes, which I had never had before in my life. I knew it had to be the Duavee because I was on it for 2 weeks and had several hot flashes every day, having never even experienced one before. Once I stopped, the hot flashes also stopped although I have felt hotter in general since taking it. Hoping that resolves soon."

For Hot Flashes "I have been suffering with ultra severe hot flashes for the past four years on a round-the-clock basis. In 2014 I tried the Combipatch which helped at first but then it came back with a vengeance. Finally when I couldn’t handle the heat any more I tried Duavee. It took a little while but eventually did do its job at least for the first 20 weeks or so. The heat thankfully stopped but in its place was swelling, high blood pressure, and muscle cramping. The deal breaker came when I had an excruciating MIGRAINE which up until now I’ve never had in my lifetime. I stopped taking Duavee. I coasted on the benefits for a while until the heat worked its way back in to my life. Weight gain, eyes hurt, swelling "

For Prevention of Osteoporosis "After taking only THIRTEEN tablets of Duavee I had lumps come up on my arm, knee, ankle, and forehead. After numerous doctor visits, calls to Pfizer and FDA, no one has identified what this drug has done to me. The lumps have gotten somewhat smaller over SEVEN months but are still there. NOBODY WILL HELP ME! It was prescribed to help prevent bone loss. I even refused to take it at first but was convinced by doctor to try it. A hormone specialist in Atlanta (when asked by a friend who is a retired doctor) said he has heard of this happening but never seen it firsthand. Can anyone help me with this?"

For Hot Flashes "After early menopause (around age 43) my OBGYN prescribed Duavee...at age 49 I was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive hormone positive breast cancer. Breast cancer is the number three “side effect” of this medication. Very few hot flashes after my body adjusted to being off the medication (had to go off cold turkey as soon as I was diagnosed). I’d say in my case if much rather deal with hot flashes than breast cancer"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I am 56 and have taken a number of hormones over the years for birth control and HRT. Duavee is the only one I've used without unwanted side effects. I'm exceedingly frustrated that, for over 6 months, I have had to substitute a Estrogen patch /Progestin capsule to control severe hot flashes because there is ZERO supply. I've gained 10 pounds and have terrible mood swings now. Bless Pfizer for giving me a COVID vaccine, however, to get my life back, I need them to put Duavee back on pharmacy shelves!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have taken Duavee for two years. It was great for hot flashes and mood swings. However, I had bloating and weight gain. I have also developed neck pain, joint and muscle pain. I already had pain in my back and hip but now it’s worse. I have been off Duavee for two months now. Hot flashes and moods swings aren’t as bad now but my pain is still hanging around."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I started taking Duavee about 5 years ago for menstrual periods. After my period stop, I decided to stop Duavee. Then on May 2018 my doctor put me on Duavee again due to hormone issues. The pill started causing joint pain around my hips and neck pain and muscle spasm, to the point that it cause bulged disc/spine problems. I stopped the pill but the damage it’s done."
