Azilsartan medoxomil for High Blood Pressure "The best blood pressure pill I've taken. My BP stays at 120/70. My doctor said that's the best it's ever been. I've had no side effects from it. I use the prescription card and get it for $40 a month. My Obamacare insurance does not pay for this."

Azilsartan medoxomil for High Blood Pressure "I started taking Edarbi for 20 days or so, and it was okay, but it seems just recently I felt weakness, fatigue, diarrhea, dehydration, chest pains, and facial spasm over my lip. I had to go to the emergency room for the overall feeling. I wasn’t sure how a medicine that started off okay could do this to me until I read all the reviews. It seems it’s okay for some and bad for others. I may have to look at other options."

Azilsartan medoxomil for High Blood Pressure "Edarbi caused insomnia and a speedy feeling during the day, along with a strange taste in my mouth. It was the only drug I was taking. I was switching from Avapro to Edarbi because the Avapro wasn't keeping my BP down well enough. I had to stop the Edarbi due to these side effects after taking half of a 40 mg pill, then reduced to half of that (10 mg), still caused the effects that I never had on Avapro, and they are the same drug class."

Azilsartan medoxomil for High Blood Pressure "I've been put on this medicine a few days ago for hypertension. The third day of use, I got a bad back pain as if it was my kidney pain, along with tiredness and depression. I am planning to stop after calling my doctor tomorrow."

Azilsartan medoxomil for High Blood Pressure "I really think this medicine is the best I have tried. Sometimes I even go too low, it works so well. Also, it's an excellent choice if using pain medicine. It helps with withdrawals when it's time to get off. It's the best medicine out there for this purpose also. It's annoying that it's so expensive and my insurance won't cover it, but I am going to try the discount card from the site."

Azilsartan medoxomil for High Blood Pressure "I was on Benicar 40 mg for 7-8 years. It worked great, but last year I got pregnant with my first child and had to switch to meds that were safe for the baby. After my pregnancy, my doc put me back on Benicar, and suddenly it didn't work for me anymore. I started experiencing scary high bps and side effects I had not had previously. My doc just switched me to Edarbi 80 mg. I've only been on it for a week, but so far it's working great. My numbers are even a little on the low side. The only side effect I've had is occasional dizziness when I stand up. I'm praying I don't get any other side effects. My doctor told me that it is pricey, but he gave me a discount card to try. Right now, I'm still using the samples he gave me."

Azilsartan medoxomil for High Blood Pressure "Have been on Edarbi for the last 4 weeks. Before that, I was on Lisinopril and a few other medications. My BP was always on the higher side. Maybe for the first time in the last two years, it has come down to normal levels. The first time when they did the reading, I asked them to do it again as I was not believing. So far, I have not experienced any side effects, and I was happy, finally, some medication is working."

Azilsartan medoxomil for High Blood Pressure "I'm a 73-year-old male with hereditary hypertension. I have always maintained a healthy lifestyle, i.e., active and fit with no overweight issues. My cardiologist prescribed Edarbi 80 in 2021 and lowered my BP. After two days, I experienced night after night of insomnia leading to depression and severe anxiety. After three weeks, my BP readings climbed inexplicably after seeming to initially drop to 120/78. My Dr. changed my BP meds, taking me off Edarbi, but he later told me I must get back on it. Now, having taken it for five months, Edarbi 80 no longer works for me with my systolic numbers averaging 155/78. I also continue to experience long-haul insomnia issues, which I believe are caused by Bystolic 80. I am now cutting the pills in half in order to eventually get to a 1/4 tablet, hoping to wean completely off Bystolic. It does not lower my BP, and I pray I no longer dread nighttime insomnia."

Azilsartan medoxomil for High Blood Pressure "I have heart disease. Had stents and cardioversion and 5% away from a bypass. I was put on Edarbi 4 weeks ago. The side effects are miserable, to say the least. Bloating, joint pain in both shoulders and knees, no energy whatsoever, and my angina, which wasn't present until I started this drug, is constant. See heart doctor next week. Until then, I won't take this drug."

Azilsartan medoxomil for High Blood Pressure "After developing a cough from lisinopril and being tried on every generic drug and combination cocktail experiment, I was sent to cardio for a heart checkup and was introduced to Edarbi by the heart doctor. It has controlled my blood pressure very well with minimal side effects. My regular doctor tried switching me back to loratadin due to insurance issues, but my blood pressure started running away again. The cost of living is a factor, but right now I am just dealing with the cost if it works. All the trips to the health clinic every 2 weeks to get checked as they switch these different combinations out don’t cost average either versus staying with one name-brand drug that does the work. I sleep well on Edarbi. Overall, good experience for me."

For High Blood Pressure "I've been battling high blood pressure for 30 years, and this medicine combined with Carvedilol seems to be working the best for me thus far. It's taken approximately 3 months in order to get the blood pressure under control. I was running around 180/90, and now measure 120/60 on average. If you start this medicine, be patient and give it time to work. I've experienced virtually no side effects so far... knock on wood."

Azilsartan medoxomil for High Blood Pressure "I've been taking Edarbi 80mg for about 2 years now. I have tried countless other BP meds and was on 3 different BP medications prior to switching to Edarbi. This medication worked like a charm and now is the only medication I take for hypertension. I did have initial dizziness but once my body adjusted to a 'normal' BP it went away, this was about 2 weeks. Outside of that I've had no other side effects. I do get my blood checked twice a year to keep check on kidney function and thankfully haven't had any issues."

Azilsartan medoxomil for High Blood Pressure "This medication has worked very well for me. I take Edarbi 40 mg, Norvasc 10 mg, and Hydrochloride 25 mg. I work out once a day for about an hour. Blood pressure normal. No issues at all. I’m a 56-year-old active male. It gets 5 stars from me."

For High Blood Pressure "This drug is exceptional. For those who give it 1 star because they felt weak or dizzy, I bet they need to simply reduce the dose. I only need 10 mg/day to drop my bp from 155/90 to 120/70. Don't just trust the docs and take 40 or 80 mg because this is a new drug and they don't know how to dose it yet. The trick is to keep lowering the dose until your bp begins to move up from the ideal. Many people here probably only need 20 mg/day or maybe just 10 mg for it to work."

For High Blood Pressure "Started on Edarbi January 2, 2017, and gained 10 lbs in the first 7 days. Other problems: back and muscle pain, insomnia, blurry vision, water retention, thus increasing pressure in the chest. I've asked the doctor to get me off this drug twice, but he insists it's the best for me. Insurance does not cover. I do not want to have A-fib again, but don't want to keep taking this drug either. Now the doctor has put me on fluid restriction. Energy is waning, and I feel unwell every day. The doctor won't see me again for 3 months. Not pleased at all."

Azilsartan medoxomil for High Blood Pressure "I took Edarbi for about a year and a half. It's the only BP medicine that ever really worked well. It works so well, in fact, that I was taking 1/4 tablet. That still was making my BP too low, so then I switched to Edarbi minus the diuretic. Still taking a 1/4 pill, and it was working well. Then I developed gout. The Edarbi package insert has a warning about gout, so I had to switch to Losartan, which is the only ARB you can take with gout. Don't know if the Edarbi caused the gout, but I'm hoping it did, and it will reverse now that I am off it."
