For ADHD "I am on day 4 of taking this medication, and the side effects outweigh the potential gains. From the first dose, I felt cold and agitated, I couldn't eat and had brain fog and anxiety. I highly do not recommend this drug or its generics to anyone."

For ADHD "The initial side effects of atomoxetine are intense. If you're not someone well-experienced with drug side effects, they can be too much. You can see that based on the reviews here, with most people reporting unfavorably being people who are only a few days in. I've got massive experience with drugs of all sorts, both illicit and prescribed, and these initial side effects are still very strong for me. If you're anxious, this will make your anxiety worse in the beginning. Also, if you're experiencing positive effects in the beginning, this is due to the side effects, not the actual result after being on it for a month. I had to start with a 15 mg dose and still have very strong side effects. However, after 4 days, they have subsided significantly, and now I'm upped to 20 mg. I will up to 30 mg in a couple of days. Then 40 mg, then 60 mg over a period of a week. I highly recommend this method if you have issues with anxiety. As to its effectiveness for ADHD, I can't say yet. I will report back in a few weeks."

Atomoxetine for ADHD "I started taking this at the beginning of April. I initially took a 5 mg dose. The first week or two had deplorable side effects such as stomach cramping, stomach aches, constipation (I already have constipation, but even laxatives wouldn’t help this time), and insomnia. However, after a week or two, these side effects, for the most part, seemingly subsided. I went off this after a couple of weeks of seeing no result and switched to something methylphenidate (Concerta), which also didn’t work and caused me worsened anxiety. After a few days of trying that, I decided to go back onto the Strattera and take it for a few months and see how it went. My dose was increased to 10, 15, 25, 40, and just recently to 60. I tried Adderall while on Strattera, which also didn’t help me focus. I’ve tried Strattera, Concerta, Adderall, and none of which have worked to help me focus with even slight amelioration. It did, however, improve my mild anxiety."

For ADHD "I have been on medications for years for ADHD and have tried every single one. This medication is the one that works best for me, however, it makes me extremely sick and makes me even more anxious. The medication also keeps me up all night long, so I’m exhausted during the day. Stay off the medicine if you can."

For ADHD "Started Strattera (atomoxetine) after trying Concerta, as the doctor said the non-stimulant might suit me better than the stimulant medication. The side effects of this drug were not as bad as taking the stimulant, but after being on it for over 3 months, the only benefit I noticed was improved sleep. Sleep through for like 7 hours, whereas before I was waking up several times throughout the night. Generally felt weird taking this drug and had increased anxiety. Can't say that it helped any of my ADHD symptoms, it actually made them worse, maybe partly due to increased anxiety. Therefore, the doctor has taken me off it."

For ADHD "Atomoxetine potentially helped me to work longer on an assignment, however, that may have been a one-off that I would have done anyway. I've been on this for 2 months, and I feel severely depressed, jittery, a bit spacey, overwhelmed, anxious, and I'm sweating a lot, especially my face. I don't like it. I need to come off."

Atomoxetine for ADHD "30-60 currently 80 mg... 4 weeks in? Mental effects: I am very paranoid. I had suicidal uncharacteristic thinking, experience anxiety, and very low frustration tolerance for anything. I trust almost no one. However, my explosive temper and impulsiveness seem to be almost nonexistent, better described as sedated. My intrusive thoughts are calming but in an eerily quiet way. Definitely calmer, but many apps open in my head and none will close then. My hyperfocus is now like an intermittent hyperfocus, which is very annoying. Zero creativity, reflecting on my life before medication, leads to depression and very low self-esteem, which has gotten pretty bad. Physical effects: seriously debilitating nausea (TAKE THESE PILLS WITH FOOD ALWAYS). I have obtained what appears to be a bladder infection, but I believe these are something to do with this medication. Slow urinating, sore testicles, abnormal bowel movements. I have appetite loss, taste loss, vision has gotten worse... I don't recommend."

For ADHD "It’s kind of a game of Russian roulette. I’ve been on Strattera for about 4 months, 80 mg for the last 2. At least in me, I spend most of the day feeling like I’m in a state of panic, which isn’t fun, but sometimes I can be very productive. Other times, though, I have a day full of anxiety attacks or just sleep the whole time. It’s hit or miss, but the cons definitely outweigh the pros for me. 4/10"

For ADHD "Worst possible side effects, very expensive medicine. I took it for one month, and it actually worsened my symptoms: severe fatigue and severe anxiety, it ruined my life."
