Atogepant for Chronic Migraine "I’m 23 y/o and developed chronic daily migraines after a TBI. My migraines are largely vestibular, with frequent classic migraines as well. I was on Qulipta for 6 months and it brought my daily migraines down to about 15-20 migraine days per month, and the pain, vertigo, dizziness, etc. were all eased significantly. I had 0 side effects. My neurologist ended up switching me to one of the CGRP injectables and it does not work nearly as well. I miss Qulipta every day."

Atogepant for Chronic Migraine "I started taking Qulipta (30mg) about two weeks ago in combination with another daily preventative migraine med. I have not had a headache since starting Qulipta, so I am cautiously optimistic. I was previously having between 2-4 a week. Notable side effects are loss of appetite (I have already lost 8 lbs), dry mouth, and my mouth also feels numb. This sensation of numbness in my mouth contributes to my loss of appetite, as things just don't taste the same. I don't really get any enjoyment from eating - my favorite foods just don't taste the same, so I don't really look forward to eating anything in particular, which I don't love, but I have suffered so long with migraines that if this medication can really give me the long-term relief that I have been looking for, it's a trade-off I'll accept. My insurance did not cover the medication entirely, but my doctor gave me a savings card and after using the card at my pharmacy, the balance owed was $0!"

Atogepant for Migraine Prevention "I've had nothing but fantastic results from Qulipta. I've been taking 30 mg/day for over two years. My headaches have been reduced by at least 80%, and if I do get one, it's not very bad. I take half a Maxalt or even OTC meds, and it's gone. My neurology nurse practitioner who prescribed it says that she hears this a lot, and she doesn't hear of side effects. The most frequent side effects are nausea and constipation, and I had both of those problems before I started taking it. I haven't gotten any worse with those things, so I can accurately say 'no side effects for me.' I couldn't be happier. Just amazing."

Atogepant for Chronic Migraine "I have had a constant migraine for years, making it hard to think or to do daily routines. I have tried every migraine medication out there, Qulipta is the only medication that has helped me. I do Botox every 3 months while taking Qulipta every night. Now I only have a few migraines a month and they are not as bad as they used to be. I’m so thankful for Qulipta, I got my life back."

Atogepant for Chronic Migraine "Been on it for a year. 60 mg. It's been a game changer for me. I've had migraines/headaches since I was 9. I've been on every migraine medication and prophylactic imaginable. I take Maxalt a few times a month before my period, and that's it! I used to take it regularly. Only side effect is depression, but I don't know if that's the medication or situational. But seriously, the best medication ever!"

Atogepant for Chronic Migraine "It is a wonderful miracle tablet. I take one daily in the morning and it avoids a migraine all day. This is the first relief I have had in 30 to 40 years. Too bad it's so expensive. I can't afford the prescription and have to rely on samples."

Atogepant for Chronic Migraine "Qulipta has been a miracle drug for me and has changed my life in countless ways. I am a lifetime sufferer of chronic migraine (40+ years). Within the past few years, the episodes became so chronic I was in pain and sick almost every day. I thought I was going to be permanently disabled. I tried everything: all the off-label medications, NSAIDs, sumatriptan, acupuncture, massage, vitamins, various diets, etc. With my first dose of Qulipta, the migraine in progress went away. Within a month, the frequency reduced to 3-4 a month. Now I get a migraine episode every 6 weeks or so, and it is very easy to treat and eliminate. I have never had episodes this infrequently in my entire life. I have been on 60 mg daily for about 10 months. The only side effect I notice is slight constipation at times. If you are considering this drug, DO IT!"

Atogepant for Chronic Migraine "I have been on Qulipta for at least 2 years, and I can honestly say that it has changed my life completely. I can go sometimes months without a migraine and when one comes, it is not nearly as bad as before. It has truly changed my life for the better!"

Atogepant for Migraine Prevention "I've been taking this drug for about a month now as a replacement for Emgality. Emgality was really back and forth for me. Sometimes it worked well for the month, sometimes it felt like it lasted less than the month, other times it felt like it did nothing. I've been taking Qulipta now for about 6 weeks along with other drugs/supplements. I've had far less downtime and far fewer full-blown migraine days. I'm not wholly convinced yet this is the magic bullet, and I don't think I can stop taking other medications along with it, but I'm fairly happy with the results so far."

Atogepant for Chronic Migraine "It does seem to be helping reduce my migraines, but I am constantly tired. I was hoping I would acclimate to it and the fatigue would go away, but so far, it hasn’t. I don’t know for sure if the fatigue is caused by Qulipta or not."

Atogepant for Migraine Prevention "Have been on Qulipta and Ubrelvy for about 1 year now. Have suffered from migraines since I was a small, small child. I am 58 now. Tried every drug under the sun, even took ibuprofen like candy. Works have migraines that last for 30+ days. Missed a lot of work due to the migraines. Finally went to a neurologist, she offered many different options. Had an MRI and have what looks like either ischemic small vessel disease or demyelination. Triptan, topamax, and other drugs did nothing to help. She put me on Qulipta and Ubrelvy and FINALLY found relief!!! The Ubrelvy works better than any other drugs I've ever taken. The Qulipta has drastically reduced the migraines and headaches to almost nil. I highly recommend both!!!"

Atogepant for Migraine Prevention "Qulipta has given me my life back. So many blood pressure meds, shots, days and days AND DAYS of me laying on the couch in the dark with an ice pack on my head trying to just live let alone be a functional adult. I'm getting my life back. I've been out of work so long my savings are gone, part of the time we're without a utility for a day or two before I can pay to get it back on. I almost lost the house. Credit cards are maxed. Only side effect I've noticed is I have atopic dermatitis on my arms now? It's just raised bumps all over my upper and lower arms, listen I'll take it. Long as they don't turn wild I'll keep on the 60mg a day. I wouldn't wish chronic migraine on my worst enemy."

Atogepant for Migraine Prevention "I've been on the 60mg dose for about 18 days now. So far, I've been migraine-free. Before medication, I was having around 9-12 migraines a month. I would have brain fog and numbness in my ears. I've struggled over 25+ years on different medications to help. I did have mild constipation for the first 3 days, that has begun to get better. The medication also makes you feel like you're not hungry or thirsty. I am reminding myself to drink more fluids because it can cause dehydration and stinky pee. It did change my pee flow, something that wasn't listed as a side effect but I experienced. At first, I thought maybe bladder infection (UTI) wasn't the case. So just remember to drink fluids. My brain feels clear and no more brain fog. I was consuming so many doses of pain control medication before this new medication. I'm completely off all other meds. Take note of your side effects."

Atogepant for Migraine Prevention "Before my doctor prescribed Qulipta, I was averaging 4-6 migraines a month. These were debilitating migraines that often led me to the emergency room. I started taking Qulipta in May 2023 and have not had another migraine! As a bonus, I experienced a decreased appetite which led to a 20-pound weight loss (which I needed). This medication has been life-changing for me and my family! I take one 60mg pill every evening at bedtime."

Atogepant for Migraine Prevention "I’ve been using 30 mg Qulipta daily as a preventative for 9 or 10 months. I used to get about 10 or more migraines a month plus almost daily headaches. Using this medication, I am down to an average of two migraines a month and less headaches. The pain of my migraines is much more bearable. It definitely causes constipation, and I’ve added magnesium to my daily regimen. I just had my annual blood draw and I now have metabolic syndrome, which includes high bad cholesterol, low good cholesterol, and significantly increased liver and kidney values. None of which I had before using Qulipta. Neurologist does not seem to think that it is Qulipta, but that is the only medication and change I’ve had in one year. I am experiencing some moderate hair loss as well. I am heavily debating stopping Qulipta for six months to see if my health values get better."

Atogepant for Migraine Prevention "I can’t say enough good about Qulipta. I used to have to take 4-10 doses per month of Zomig, and ever since being on Qulipta, I have only taken 2 doses total! No more migraine headaches. The downside is that the drug card only covers 2 months (I had samples for the rest), and soon I will have to come off of it because my insurance won’t cover it."

For Migraine "Qulipta is the name of this miracle drug. I love it, but after their discount card stopped, I could not afford it. It was 800-900 a month for a 30-day supply. Makes me so sad because it is the only thing that has worked for me. I am in the process of trying to find something that works."

Atogepant for Migraine Prevention "I just started 60 mg of Qulipta one week ago. I've been noticing a lot of redness, primarily in my face and on my scalp, since starting this med, especially after showering. It kind of feels and looks like a sunburn, with some stinging. Has anyone else had a similar experience? It's too early to tell how well it's working. I also got Botox injections the day prior to starting Qulipta. I'm hoping the combination will be effective in minimizing the number of migraines I experience."

Atogepant for Chronic Migraine "I have been a lifelong headache sufferer for over 50 years, experiencing as many as 15-20 headaches a month. I have pretty much tried every option out there, from beta blockers to Botox and even acupuncture, with no real substantial benefit. I used to take 3-4 ibuprofen for each episode, but over the past 10 years, I could only take a triptan to abort the pain. I have been on only 10 mg of QULIPTA nightly for almost 3 months and have only had about 6 headaches. I haven't had too many side effects other than dealing with constipation, which I have had most of my life anyway, probably due to other meds. I'm going to stay on this for now to see how it goes for a few more months, but so far I am pleased with the results. I had to get this approved by my insurance company, and they wanted me to purchase it from a mail away service. I am currently using the Qulipta savings card, which is fantastic. I just need to purchase it at the local pharmacy."

Atogepant for Chronic Migraine "Worked great at first, but headaches started to slowly return. My headaches were easier to get rid of by taking 200 mg of Advil, but I still didn't want to keep waking up with headaches again. Doctor going to try Topamax when I pick up in a couple of days. Hope this works for the long term."

Atogepant for Migraine Prevention "This medicine was like magic for the first 2 weeks I was on it! I got slight auras, but they never developed into pain or other symptoms. I have daily migraines for the last 3 years, and this reduced them to 1 over those 2 weeks, and it wasn't a bad one. However, after those 2 weeks, I had a 2-day long panic attack out of nowhere. I had to go to the hospital, and my blood pressure was 160/129. It went back down 5 hours later after that panic attack subsided. Depression got way worse, and my stomach felt like it had a baby in it without eating anything. Got off Qulipta, and all that went away when I stopped after 4-5 days. Sucks because it was awesome for the migraine! I was also only taking the 30 mg. I still recommend giving it a try! It's better than doing nothing about your migraines!"

Atogepant for Migraine Prevention "Definitely worth a try. I was prescribed 60mg but started off splitting in 4ths (15mg). I'm sensitive to drugs so I decided to be cautious and I'm glad I did because this is a powerful drug… or I'm just super sensitive. On 15mg the first week, I was extremely tired and had some insomnia/irritability. All have calmed down significantly after about 2 weeks along with minimal headaches. I bumped up to 30mg and felt pretty good, just a little constipation, so you may need to start eating more fiber. Be warned that insurance companies LOVE to randomly stop paying for this drug since it is so expensive. Doctors say there is no withdrawal, but many patients say there is. Since I am taking a lower dose for a bit, I will have pills left over in case insurance tries to pull this on me. All in all, it's definitely worth a try, but it may take a few weeks for your body to adjust. Try and stick with it for at least a month or two."

Atogepant for Chronic Migraine "13 days ago I started 30 mg daily of Qulipta with zero expectations. Today, I am going on day 13 of not having a migraine. I can honestly say this medication has changed my entire life in only 13 days. Upon taking my first dose, the first three days following, I had horrendous sharp stomach pain and constipation. These side effects are finally easing up but not entirely. For me, the pros versus cons in taking this medication was something I really thought long and hard about before taking it. I ultimately decided that stomach pain over multiple migraines a week was something I could deal with. I’m hoping it’s temporary and will subside even more than it already has. I have also been tired in a way that is kind of hard to describe but not to the point where I can’t function on a regular level. I feel like my body is getting used to this medication slowly but it feels like it's working! I can still feel the mood changes associated with my migraines, which is crazy, but overall 10/10"

Atogepant for Chronic Migraine "I am in my 50s. History of chronic migraines for 30 years (20+ migraine days/month). Started 30mg Qulipta in December. Initial nausea for the first few weeks. Migraines were down to 1-2 a month, however, they have crept up again in the last 4 weeks, 2-3 migraine days per week. Going to try the 60 mg dose. The first few months on Qulipta were magical!"
