For Migraine Prevention "This has been the best medication I have ever taken. The only problem I have now is my insurance will not cover it. I didn't have any side effects and hardly ever had a migraine. I would still be taking it if my insurance would pay for it."

For Migraine Prevention "I was getting 15-20 migraines/month. Migraines were not ever bad enough to put me in bed but were more like a strong, lingering headache that could go for days if not treated. I tried other meds first, including Botox, which I still use. Qulipta (60 mg pill 1x/day in PM) has been amazing though and the best by far. It took around 1.5 months to start working, but now I am only getting a few migraines every month and have been able to treat them with OTC meds instead of a triptan rescue med, which I did not like due to side effects. No side effects from Qulipta other than constipation, but it is really manageable... just drink lots of water. Note: no way to know for sure how much of my relief is from the Botox (I've only had two treatments) or the Qulipta. I hope to continue taking both!"

For Chronic Migraine "I have had a chronic, left-sided migraine, 24/7 for just over 8 years. I have had every test, tried every medicine, and nothing has ever worked for me. Injections, pills, infusions, and I have even had my Greater Auricular Nerve and temporal artery removed. I didn't have much hope for Qulipta when I tried it, but much to my surprise, it worked. My headache has been 95% better since day one. I take 60mg. It has been life-changing for me."

For Chronic Migraine "I have been on Qulipta 60 mg for 1 month for chronic migraine. I am experiencing ringing in my ears, insomnia, and a dullness in affect. I am not tired but have no energy or desire to do anything. I have had symptoms of migraine, like neck pain, but no debilitating headache. Today, I tried 30 mg, hoping I will feel more human."

For Migraine Prevention "Has been a miracle for my headaches. Bottom line...from 5 to 1 headache a week...instantly. Been without any help for 50 years. Now the bad... I have lost a LOT of weight. This med completely kills my taste for food. I want to eat but all tastes the same. So, I eat just to survive...not to enjoy."

For Chronic Migraine "Took 60 mg daily for 8 months, it helped cut back migraine frequency. However, had significant stomach digestive issues. Stopped Qulipta, and migraines are worse and almost daily. Sumatriptan saves me. The Qulipta really works at a high physical cost."

For Migraine Prevention "Currently take this, and it works fairly well for me. Kind of reminds me of Nurtec with its intended purpose and category. Went from 10-15 migraines a month to 3-6. Only downside, I couldn’t eat much anymore due to loss of appetite and lost a lot of weight. To fix this, I was instructed to cut it in half, which seems to have worked well so far."

For Chronic Migraine "I tried Qulipta in October of 2023. I tried to do Metamucil and other bulk products to be proactive for the constipation I read about. I put on 6ish pounds in the first week, felt bloated beyond belief, couldn’t sleep, was waking up at weird times from weird dreams… It was bad. So how did I get to giving this a perfect 10? I went back to Topamax, hated it just as much as I did before, did a TON of research on what others had posted about side effects and decided to try Qulipta again at the beginning of this year. I decided to aggressively go after the constipation and take Miralax daily if that’s what I had to do. I took my Q in the morning around 7:30 AM every day. And since I did the restart - I’ve had to use the Maxalt I normally exhausted every month in terms of the allowable pills - twice. I’m at the point where I only need the Miralax once or twice a week, I’m sleeping solidly, waking up refreshed and even working out in the morning. I LOVE QULIPTA!!!"

For Migraine Prevention "I have suffered from migraines since I was a year old. I've tried everything, and nothing has worked. I've been on this medication for about 8 months, and it has decreased my headaches from 4 to 8 per month to 1 migraine in 8 months! This medication has been a lifesaver and has changed my life."

For Migraine Prevention "Thought I was suffering sinus headaches. 2 Drs. diagnosed migraines. Take 60 mg Qulipta before bed. Constipation is unbelievable. Went from a few days between relief to 8 days. Nothing helps. I still have constant 'sinus' pressure, but it's not severe. I haven't paid anything for 3 months. Now the pharmacy is saying they need insurance approval. I won't pay more than $1000 for this medicine. Taking the last pill tonight."

For Chronic Migraine "Qulipta is a life-changing drug for those of us who have lived and suffered through migraines. I now know what life feels like, not always trying to time when to take my abortive triptan or worrying about whether I have enough meds to get through the month. I forget that I have headaches now that I am on daily Qulipta. It has changed my life."

For Chronic Migraine "I took a cruise and flew home and immediately began having vestibular issues in June. I was diagnosed with vestibular migraines, and they were terribly debilitating. Noises, lights, and food would trigger migraines every 2 hours. I was miserable and in the ER or doctor's office weekly. I was so terrified to go out with friends, work, or family gatherings because excruciating migraines would attack out of nowhere. In order for my insurance to cover Qulipta, I had to try several other classes of medications that gave me horrible side effects. I am currently 2 months in with taking Qulipta. By the second week, I saw a drastic decrease in the daily migraines. By the end of the first month, I was only having 1-2 migraines a day, but they were manageable. Now I have a slight daily headache and maybe only 1-4 migraines a week! I don't have any side effects, which is amazing, and I have added food back. Granted, some foods are still a trigger. I hope my tinnitus resolves too. Stay encouraged!"

For Chronic Migraine "Had significant relief from daily headaches immediately. Did not help with aura, neck pain, or dizziness. Unfortunately, the severe constipation and stomach pain continued to worsen to the point I had to stop using this medication."

For Migraine Prevention "Qulipta has been amazing. I've been taking the 60 mg dose for a year now, and have gone from having a migraine 50% of my time to maybe 10 migraines in 12 months. My only side effect has been constipation, but that's preferable to the headaches. My only problem has been getting the savings card to work. I have private insurance which brings the cost down to around $300/month, but I have had to make multiple phone calls almost every month to get the savings card to work. It starts with the pharmacy (tells me the card doesn't work), then AbbVie call (they tell me the card is fine and should work), then Opus (they have a variety of reasons: the wrong code was entered by the pharmacy, etc.), then usually back to the doctor (verifying that there was pre-authorization), the insurance (verifying that they are processing it correctly on their end), then back to the pharmacy again. It's only worth it because this is the only medication that has worked for me."

For Chronic Migraine "Switched from Ajovy to Qulipta approximately 5 months ago. Immediate improvement in the first month with an additional 3-5 pain-free days, resulting in 8-10 pain days per month instead of the 12-15 I was experiencing with Ajovy. Noticed a definite lower appetite and a resulting weight loss of approximately 15 lbs. This is a positive change for me as I have been around 50 pounds overweight for the last 11 years due to lack of exercise (which triggers migraines). Experienced increased dizziness and vertigo for the first 2-3 months, which has somewhat diminished with continued use. Also, encountered increased fatigue and feelings of depression. Switched to taking it at night, which seemed to help a bit with daytime fatigue. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost the joy I once felt doing the things I love, which is most concerning. Now, 5 months later, I am experiencing a lack of interest in pretty much everything. March has been particularly bad with variable weather. It seems like, similar to Aimovig, Emgality, and Ajovy in the past, Qulipta may have slowed down or stopped working, or I am developing immunity. I am frustrated that I am running out of options."

For Migraine Prevention "I'm a male, migraine sufferer for 40+ years. Have tried it all before with different meds, acupuncture, and Botox - with no improvement. Started Qulipta one year ago, and zero migraines since. All my daily headaches are gone too. This is truly life-changing."

For Migraine Prevention "I started taking Qulipta for migraine prevention about a year ago. It has totally changed my life. Before Qulipta, I took amitriptyline to prevent migraines but it didn’t help very much and had a whole bunch of unpleasant side effects, and even with amitriptyline, I still needed to take a migraine treatment (for acute migraine) 15 times a month or more. Qulipta made it possible for me to wean off of amitriptyline and dramatically reduced the number of migraines I get each month and the number of times I need to take an additional migraine treatment. Now I have closer to four migraines per month, and they are much less severe and the acute medicine I take (ubrelvy) stops the migraine much more effectively. Qulipta works great for me!"

For Chronic Migraine "I have been having migraines since I was 11. For the past 10 years, they were every day. I would be in pain and horribly sick for days with a migraine hangover following. 8 treatments didn't work. I ended up having to use Sumitripan every day and became chemically dependent. A new doctor prescribed me Qulipta, and within a week, my migraines stopped. I may get one every 1-2 months now. It has completely changed my life. I can be around smells and light without worrying how quickly the migraine would set in. My quality of life was seriously diminished until I found Qulipta."

For Migraine Prevention "Qulipta was prescribed to me for migraine headaches. I have headaches that vary according to a pain scale of 4-9 about an average of 12 times a month, with auras of both photophobia and photophobia, numbness and tingling in my face, body fatigue, nausea, and dizziness. Qulipta has helped diminish the headaches but also caused me to be extremely tired and dizzy from time to time. I was officially put on the highest dosage (60 mg) of Qulipta in the beginning, and the neurologist lowered the dose to (30 mg). The higher dosage of 60 mg caused me to not be able to function. I would sleep for 3-4 days straight, I would not be hungry or thirsty during that time because I was sleeping all the time. Pulling back on the dosage to 30 mg daily has helped me greatly. I have not been taking Qulipta for very long. I hope this continues to work. One other problem that I have with Qulipta is $$$. I had to go through many different medications before approval by my insurance company."

For Chronic Migraine "I have been suffering daily migraines, constant sweating, nausea, and vertigo-type symptoms since taking a baseball to the head 7 years ago. Took all the shots and Botox, and nothing worked. Started Qulipta 60 mg approximately 6 months ago and have gone to 75% fewer migraines. My side effects are vivid dreams and not feeling hungry, though I haven’t lost anything (my own fault). It has been a life-changing drug. Doesn’t appear to work with weather changes, but I have other pills for that."

For Migraine Prevention "I am taking Qulipta as a replacement for Fioricet. It works, though not as well. It also has more side effects, causing significant fatigue, constipation, and nausea. I am hoping that the side effects lessen after taking Qulipta for a bit longer as I have only been on it 2-3 weeks. If the side effects do not reduce, the limited benefit of somewhat reduced headache intensity and frequency will not outweigh the detriment of the side effects."

For Chronic Migraine "I was able to get a 40-day supply of Qulipta from my PCP. I started taking it while in the middle of a 7-day long migraine. Once that migraine stopped, I stayed migraine-free for over 30 days. I started splitting my 60mg pills on my last 4 pills, but that caused breakthrough migraines. I decided to instead finish the last two days with full pills. Since stopping, I've had daily headaches again and am planning to go to the ER for the migraine 'cocktail'. I am miserable without the medication, but insurance won't cover it. The side effects that I had while on Qulipta included mild constipation and joint pain in my knees. I felt very tired the first few weeks on it, but I started taking it at night and that helped a lot. The joint pain was getting better towards the end of the month, and I think it may have completely resolved with the continuation of taking it. Fiber and mild laxatives helped with the constipation. I am extremely sad that I can't take the medication at this time."

For Chronic Migraine "I started on 60 mg, which was great for my migraines, but the constipation was so severe that multiple doses of Miralax did nothing. I moved my dose down to 30 mg, and it’s less of a problem. It actually helps my IBS-D now, which is an added bonus. My migraines are far less, but I still have flare-ups occasionally. Still, much less than before. I’m able to enjoy life again. I was having 20-25+ migraine days a month, and now I have them only during a flare-up (which can last like a week). I highly recommend. Topamax, Effexor, and propranolol didn’t really help my migraines, but this did."

For Chronic Migraine "I've been taking 60mg for over a year. It was a miracle at first, down to 1-2 migraines a month from 9-15. I've been starting to have more migraines again though, plus my insurance is being crappy about covering it. Nurtec, Ajovy, and all the usual meds didn't help me. I also didn't realize that yeah, the hair loss and fatigue I've been feeling is probably from Qulipta until reading more reviews, ugh. I've dealt with dry mouth, dry skin, constipation from it since the beginning."

For Migraine Prevention "Been taking Qulipta now for about 1 month for chronic migraine. I was having 4-5 serious headaches per month prior to. Most responded to Fiorcet, but decreasingly so and was very disruptive to daily life. I also struggled with pre-migraine symptoms almost daily. Even after 30 days, I feel that I have had a significant reduction in pre-migraine (less brain fog, less visual aura), and what headaches I have come on slower and are less severe. Headache meds, when I do have a full-on migraine, are more effective. Trending in the right direction."
