Aripiprazole for Schizoaffective Disorder "I am on the Aristada shot, and I get breakthrough symptoms after 3 weeks. My psychiatrist prescribed Abilify 5 mg tablets for my breakthrough symptoms, and my only regret is not getting it sooner. I had a trauma response today, and I took one for breakthrough symptoms, and it provides a buffer to the reaction I'm experiencing. "I was prescribed aripiprazole for severe panic disorder, and all I can say was it made me 100 times worse. I'm currently coming off of it, and the withdrawal is the worst I've ever had. Shaking uncontrollably, nausea, mild diarrhea, insomnia, and I was on a very low dose of 3 mg. I would not recommend this drug to anybody who's experiencing the same as me."

For Bipolar Disorder "I was prescribed this drug as a mood stabilizer. I took it for 2 days and felt very awful. I stopped it and after stopping became very confused. I couldn't focus and work and was making a lot of mistakes. I had to quit my job and put off school for I just could not focus. I am experiencing shaking and muscle contractions all over my body. I feel like I am much less bright and much slower since taking this drug. It did absolutely nothing positive for me."
