"I took Humira for 6 months to treat my PsA, and it truly changed my life (32 y/o female). Before Humira, I suffered from severe psoriasis that covered 95% of my scalp, causing bald patches and bleeding. I was often bedridden with excruciating hip and back pain, and my hand movements were severely restricted. From the moment I started Humira, my symptoms improved drastically. The psoriasis cleared up, the pain disappeared, random fevers stopped, brain fog lifted, and my hair started growing back. I felt like a kid again! Unfortunately, I had to stop taking Humira due to myocarditis, which was heartbreaking. Despite this, the improvement to my quality of life was undeniable. It gave me a glimpse of a life free from the debilitating symptoms of PsA, and for that, I am always grateful. While I experienced a serious side effect, my overall experience was overwhelmingly positive. I was just unlucky, but I won’t stop trying new biologics because the relief was life-changing."

"I was started on methotrexate initially and had a really bad experience with it, felt exhausted with back pain and lost my appetite, then started having a cough. When I saw my doctor, he did a CT scan of my chest, and I was told that I have lung inflammation caused by methotrexate and that I have to stop it. I was started on Humira afterward, and it really changed everything. I felt better within a few days, started biking, my appetite went back to normal, and I only had little discomfort in my joints occasionally. I have been on it for close to 4 years now. I feel the drug is losing its effect and I might be switching to a different medication in a few months."

"I took Enbrel for several years before switching to Humira. I liked the thought of synthetic mouse protein over live mouse protein... plus I was having terrible injection site reactions to Enbrel. Humira almost killed me. I developed a severe jaw bone infection. Was hospitalized for days with IV antibiotics... almost died. I developed severe central nervous symptoms... was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis... was multiple sclerosis, but the Humira reaction mimicked that. I lost almost 100 pounds in 6 weeks (the only perk) and had the MS symptoms for 6 months. Six years later, I still have the CNS symptoms if I get a fever. This drug left lesions in my brain and my spine and that's why I get recurring CNS symptoms."

"I am on Humira, and this past Saturday made my 12th SC injection. There are some good and some not-so-good things that I can say about Humira. I was very hesitant to try any of the TNF or monoclonal antibodies due to some of the possible side effects I had read about. My rheumatologist let me decide from three protocols, and I chose Humira. I asked my rheumatologist which one he felt more comfortable with, and his response was Humira, so that is how I made that decision. Prior to starting Humira, my energy level was 'nil' because I had no energy whatsoever. I will say my energy level has improved a great deal, but getting fibromyalgia now, and this is miserable. I am 45, but at times I feel 60. Good luck to all!"

"When I started taking Humira in 2008, I was covered over 80% of my body. Took Humira, and it was at least 8 weeks (if not more) for any improvement on the plaque psoriasis, although I noticed a big improvement in arthritis pain and stiffness. Once it cleared, within 2 years it was again widespread. Finally, I have been on it regularly for two years in addition to Methotrexate (without it I feel it in my knees and hands). I now only have no more than 5 spots here and there. Very happy with it, and the only side effect was 1 time liver function affected, but easily fixed with a lesser dose of Methotrexate."

"About 2 weeks after starting Humira, I started experiencing loss of bowel and bladder control; I could no longer walk without a Rollator, could not do many daily tasks without assistance. My feet felt like I was wearing concrete blocks. The rheumatologist said it was 'ridiculous' to think these symptoms were associated with Humira. Well, 18 months later, I went to another doctor, who said I had symptoms of 'transverse myelitis,' associated with Humira in some patients. The bowel incontinence and mobility issues plus 'concrete feet' went away within several days."

"I've had PsA for 45 years, and there was no treatment back then. By the time I got on biologicals, the disease was well advanced, with arthritis in most of my joints. Psoriasis has always been mild and limited to the scalp, ears, and elbows. I started Humira in 2012 when Enbrel stopped working after 8 years. Both drugs are miraculous. They allow me to live, work, and move normally. Before, it took me 20 minutes just to get out of bed. Now I bounce out like a young person! The joint damage is still present, but the pain is gone, and I haven't had a flare. No side effects either. Only thing: Enbrel was more effective on psoriasis. Humira does nothing for it. I use topicals."

"I was diagnosed with PSA and was placed on Arava and 50 mg Prednisolone plus Sulfasalazine. These DMARDs helped but couldn’t get below 5 mg of steroids or would flare and have to go back up on steroids. Rheumy put me on Cosentyx, the worst experience ever, serious digestive issues gave me IBS. Rheumatologist then put me on Humira, my miracle drug! What a difference. My skin is perfect, it fixed the damage caused by Cosentyx and my joints are like they were previous to having PSA. What a miracle drug this is, and no side effects that I have noticed, and I have been on Humira for 9 months. Love it, also easy to inject and painless."

"I've been on Humira for almost 2 years. I feel it works pretty well, I do notice some joint pain before it rains and the day before my shot, but my doctor says that can be due to damage already done. For anyone considering starting it, my experience was this: I typically have plaque psoriasis on my scalp and knees. When I first started the shots, I had an itchy 2-3 day rash at the injection site (this was resolved by having me ice the shot site first, I recommend this to everyone). I also had guttate psoriasis spread over my thighs and sides, which thankfully went away after 4 months, it was painful and snagged on my clothes. It would have been a deal breaker if it didn't go away, but it did, thankfully."

"Psoriasis & psoriatic arthritis (for at least a decade now) have led me to Humira. The results have been super since I began a few years ago. Brown spots, freckle-sized, have appeared in the areas where the psoriasis was. No one has any idea, from doctors to pharmacists."

"I have been on Humira for nearly a year now. At first, my rheumatologist was having me inject myself every 14 days, but that was not as effective as we would have liked, so he upped it to every 10 days. I kept it that way for a couple of months, but my pain still was bad sometimes. So now he has me injecting myself once a week. Overall, I think I'm having some success with the Humira, but I still feel quite tired and have days when my hands and back hurt too much for me to perform my job at work and do things around the house. My fingernails look better, but I'm not sure if the Humira has the ability to help that. I did have clearing of some of the plaques on my skin, but recently I have noticed that they are returning again."

"Humira took about 3-4 months to kick in. Works generally well for arthritis, but I still get flare-ups a few times a week. Unfortunately, it did little to nothing for my psoriasis. In fact, a couple of new patches popped up on my arms. I was previously on Methotrexate, which basically 'cured' 99.9% of my pain and psoriasis. I had to get off of it due to severe side effects (nausea, vertigo, mood changes, etc.). Hoping to find an alternative drug that works."

"I have used this product with great success for years! My daughter uses it for Crohn's disease with good success. My reason for writing this review is to say I am so happy with this company! Being a senior, I am on a fixed income. The company provided me with a coach, and I now get it for free. The delivery is amazing. I get several months at a time and, of course, have to be at home to sign for it as it is an expensive medicine. I was advised the medicine would arrive around 10 AM today. At 10:10 AM, my doorbell rang, and my supply for a couple of months arrived."

"I have been using Humira for over 10 years. It was the best thing ever. I had pain in places I didn't know. After the second injection, the pain in my knees that I had since I was 14 was remarkably reduced. I noticed that the pain in my back was gone. I didn't realize I had pain there. My skin cleared in a day. In a month, I no longer needed topicals on my skin. My brother has had psoriasis since he was 16, and he is 60, 70-80% of his body easily. His arthritis was bad. He was on Enbrel, he had to take a shot every five days to have no pain. He still had plaques. I said he needed Humira. In one week, the plaques were falling off, and the arthritis relief was so good. He has no more plaques and stays out of pain. My knees have been damaged really badly because of my type of work, so replacements must be done. Pain is so minimal in comparison to my life before. I am so happy to have this drug in our lives."

"My 16-year-old daughter was diagnosed with JIA - psoriatic - almost 2 years ago. She was started on Celebrex, methotrexate, and then Humira injections. She has changed from pens to syringes for comfort and convenience. My comment is that, since May 2017, she has been in an apparent constant flare-up. Her pain is constant in every joint! She has missed so much school over the last few months, and it is now beginning to affect her mentally. We report to the rheumatologist every visit that she is in constant pain, but it seems that 'nothing more can be done.' In the meantime, my daughter's social life is non-existent, her schooling is suffering, and she is wary of being away from me (Mum) as nobody understands her pain and its effect. Help."

"I have been on Humira for 6 months. From the first dose, I noticed a complete improvement, no pain. But as I continued a shot every 2 weeks, I was getting out of breath. I couldn’t walk outside. It got worse with body burning and aching, chills, no appetite, and also I gained 40 lb. I stopped it finally. This morning, I am starting to feel better."

"I’ve been on Humira for five years, and I wish I had started sooner before the damage in my hands got so severe. The drug started working within days, and I’ve had almost no side effects. I did have a bacterial infection that required antibiotics. My general practitioner discouraged me because he thought there would be a lifestyle change, but it has been a miracle drug. I wish I’d started sooner. I think Humira combined with methotrexate."

"I was placed on this medication after Enbrel, and it worked really well for the first couple of years. My psoriasis never went away, but it did help it. It greatly helped my arthritis, I was not able to get in and out of bed by myself, could barely get into a car, and was having difficulties dressing. It was not immediate, but within 6 months, I was feeling 'almost' normal. Then I started developing GI issues when I injected to the point that the acid reflux and pain were so difficult, I ended up in an ER. After 4 years, the medication has stopped working, so my rheumatologist recommended switching. It was great while it worked, but now on to something that I hope works as well as Humira did initially."

"Humira was a life saver for 7 months for my psoriatic arthritis. Then everything changed and the adverse reactions began—drug-induced lupus causing massive hair loss from scalp lesions, skin rash, mouth ulcers and thrush, and fatigue like I never knew with PSA. I’ve never had this much hair loss, but then no other drug ever hit with such velocity before. I had fine hair but lots of it, so the loss was just visible in the shower and on the floor at first. But it’s relentless and unending until the bald spots are unmistakable to me and others around me. It’s been 4 months since I stopped this stuff and my histone antibody for drug-induced lupus is still positive. This drug is horrible and I wish I’d never allowed the start of it. It’s like something that is dormant laying in wait to attack. And when it does, it’s devastating."

"I’ve been on Humira for 2 weeks. Never had expected it to work right away, but my pain is 99% gone. Still get a few swollen joints but doesn’t hurt nearly as much as it did. I hope I’m not jinxing this, but this has been a game changer. I was on Methotrexate for about 3 months. No relief. Then Otezla, with no relief in over a year."

"This drug is worth every penny for those of us who have endured sheer pain for years. I feel like a human being and not a test rat for goodness knows how many medications that could just as well have been a placebo."

"I have been using Humira since October of 2009. I had a lot of swelling in my joints after the injection and redness, swelling, and bruising. I have not noticed much difference. I have started not only the cartilage degeneration, but it is affecting my bone also. We are about to try Simponi. Hopefully, this will work."

"I am strongly suggesting do not take Humira or any of the biological drugs! It affects your immune system! I have psoriatic psoriasis, and I'm a 61-year-old male. I started on Humira, then after 7 months, my body rejected it, which gave me sepsis. Had to wait 6 months, the doctor switched me to Cimzia, then to Remicade, which gave me a urinary tract infection. After visits to the urologist and blood work, my PSA levels were high. Cancer went to my prostate. After surgery to remove it, my PSA was still high. After a visit to the Mayo Clinic, I was told metastasis, neuendacream-worst case of prostate cancer. It's been 1.5 years after chemo, and I wish I would have never started Humira. I did the foundation one, which breaks down the tumor, and it came back negative, which cancer does not run in my family! I can only speak to males: DON'T TAKE HUMIRA OR ANY OTHER TNA DRUGS. Power of prayer now..."

"When I first started using Humira, I was so happy because it cleared my skin and scalp up a lot, but not completely. Now, after being on Humira for about 8 months, I'm having more and more side effects, and the one that scares me the most is trouble breathing. Within 24 hours of giving my shot, I wake up in the middle of the night and throughout the day with difficulty breathing. I also have itching. I think the drug was great at first, but now it's scaring me, especially now that all these side effects are happening and also my joints are real sore - beware of what you're injecting in your body before it may be too late."

"I’ve been on Humira for 5 months, and it has not helped me at all. It has made me worse, to the point I stay in bed most of the time. It has made me hurt in places that I didn’t hurt to begin with. Before, my back and hips hurt, now my fingers, hands, shoulders, and knees kill me. I wish I had listened to myself and stopped after 3 months instead of keeping taking it. I hope it helps you, but it didn’t help me."
