"I have been on Humira for over 6 months. The 1st 16 weeks were amazing. I didn't have flakes everywhere, my psoriasis was barely noticeable. I was so happy and actually had hope for the first time in years. Unfortunately, it is back with a vengeance. I have never missed a dose (2 injections each month, every other week). I'm back to flaking everywhere, and now I have developed them in my scalp. It doesn't work for everyone, the important thing is to never quit."

"I can't stress enough to everyone that this stuff works!! Absolutely no side effects, and you don't have to worry about spot treating with topicals. Within 3-4 weeks into Humira, I started seeing results. Even cleared the most stubborn psoriasis I had on my back. Having to inject yourself can scare many people off, but the pens they provide make it super easy and fast. Getting the medicine is a lengthy process but worth the wait! Their copayment is outrageous, but they have a coupon to bring it down to only $5!! I love Humira!"

"I have had psoriasis for about 15 years, and it has progressed over the years to covering about 20% of my body with severe scalp coverage. I had been on creams, sprays, pills, etc., with no good long-term results (and at best just halting its path forward but not reversing it). After 2 weeks on Humira, I could see a difference. I am at the 3-month stage, and the flaking patches are gone, and most of the smaller patches are completely gone. The heavy large patches on my legs and torso only have a slight discoloration now. It works, and it's easy."

"My dad has been suffering with psoriasis for way too long. It's emotionally draining for him until we tried Humira. His skin improved within the first week of the injection. The complicated thing was waiting for his health insurance to approve and pay for it. Going through all the tests to make sure he's free of any infection before treatment can be started took a while also. Overall, we are very happy with the results. We just hope that the price can be cheaper for people without health insurance."

"24 years old and a sufferer since 5. After Humira, my psoriasis is starting to clear up. Not totally, but starting to fade. As for the nails, not much of a change. I had very bad plaque psoriasis covering almost every part of my body and guttate psoriasis mainly on my wrists, arms, and back. It was painful when the lesions on my shins would crack and bleed. I've tried almost every cream/spray, but those only temporarily relieved them. But ever since I started Humira 2 months ago, the plaque went away, my scalp psoriasis is gone, guttate psoriasis is clearing, and overall no more itching, flaking, cracking, and bleeding! The only side effects, if they are even caused by this medication, is that I've been getting acne."

"Better than Enbrel in my opinion. My condition after 3 months has markedly improved to, I'd say, 90% with one dose every other week. It has changed my life. As far as any side effects, I have not experienced any after 6 months."

"I have been on this drug for close to 8 years now. Humira has done a fantastic job for me. Personally, when I began, I was at close to 40% coverage on my body with countless tiny spots almost everywhere. Within 4 months, I was down to only quarter-sized spots on my knees and elbows. Currently, I only have one very small spot on one knee. It has been a fantastic drug."

"I got psoriasis when I was about 14 years old, rapidly spreading from my right knee to both my elbows and my scalp, which was very disruptive to my confidence as a kid about to start high school. Started off with a few oral drugs, which barely worked. Started Enbrel at 17, and it worked for about 1-2 years before I started to notice my psoriasis coming back. I started Humira when I was around 18-19 and am still on it now, as I am 22 years old and have not had a single side effect from either biologic. It does keep me up at night from time to time, thinking I'll need it for the rest of my life or looking at any nasty side effects, but considering I haven't experienced even any common ones, I tell myself to relax and appreciate how normal I feel."

"After suffering 75% coverage for 25 years and various medications and creams, which helped a little for a few weeks or months, Humira has totally cleared all my skin. I still have dark scars from where it used to be on my back and legs, but they don't bother me in the slightest. I have been on Humira treatment since December 2009. No more vacuuming the floor every day for dead skin flakes, my princess thinks that's the best result!"

"It's a miracle drug as far as I'm concerned. I've had psoriasis since I was 13, and I'm now 53. I was so bad at one point that 60% - 70% of my body was covered in scales. I started on Humira 4-5 years ago, and I'm now 98% clear. Few side effects, and it's like I don't even have psoriasis anymore. I am thankful for this drug."

"Had ankylosing spondylitis and psoriasis badly. Within a day, I felt a lot better and could get out of bed without assistance, and within 3 months, I had zero psoriasis or back pain. It's life-changing. Had psoriasis for over 10 years, and it had made me very depressed. This drug is a miracle and has changed my life."

"I have psoriasis on my wrist, elbows, and knees. It has been a month now and already seeing great results, my wrist is all clear. My elbows and knees are looking much better. The only side effect I have had is after taking the injection, I feel a little nauseous for about 2 days. Other than that, I feel great."

"I've had severe psoriasis since I was about 10 (18 now). It covered my entire torso, back, scalp, forehead, and arms. I literally tried EVERYTHING, but found things worked for a very short period before it just all came back. Originally, I was on Enbrel, but I really couldn't handle the pain of the injections, so I couldn't keep taking them regularly, and so eventually, they stopped working. Humira, for me, although still painful, was much more bearable than Enbrel. It took a couple of months to work, but now my skin is completely clear, and I've never been happier. Of course, the downside is that if it continues to work, I'll be having the injection for the rest of my life, but for me, this is a small price to pay for the amazing results it's given."

"Started HUMIRA 8 weeks ago, and my psoriasis is worse than ever. It is causing worsening of itching, my hands and feet are drier, itchier, and more painful than ever. I am developing new lesions in areas I never had before. My dermatologist recommended taking it for another 4 weeks, but it is unbearable. I read that some patients develop anti-drug antibodies, I suspect I may be one of them."

"I've had psoriasis for 12 years. I am now 25 years old and have been on Humira for a little over 6 months now and love it! My psoriasis started out on my scalp and only got worse over the years. When I started Humira, I was covered head to toe. I tried creams, oils, shampoos, then on to methotrexate and light treatments, which none had the effects of Humira! Anyway, I'm now 98% clear with just small spots on my elbows that never went away fully. I am very happy with the results, Humira changed my life!"

"I am a 53-year-old male and have had extreme psoriasis since I was 21 years old. Humira has improved my life so much. I have been taking this medicine for 3 months with little side effects as far as I can see. I have been on holiday, and for the first time, as long as I can recall, I have not felt ashamed to be by a pool and take some sun. 'Great feeling.'"

"I just took my third dose day 22. My skin has been 100% clear for about a week, and my scalp is about 60% better. I didn’t anticipate such drastic results, and certainly not this quick. No side effects. I'm using the self-injection pen and had no prior experience with one before. A nurse came out and helped me get familiar with it. The hardest part in all of it has been actually pushing the button on the injection. It’s just a mental thing. The injection is a slight sting, like a fire ant. It only lasts a few seconds while the medicine is being injected. Zero soreness, redness, or pain after it’s done. I’m hoping this continues to work for me. I’ve had this all over for 18 months (37 years). As a child, I had injections every week in my thigh and under my nails, light therapy, and topical medicine. Every night, my mom would take a comb and pull the plaques open on my scalp to put the medicine on. I’d wake up with dried blood in my hair. For the first time in my life, I feel normal."

"Taken my 4th injection so far, and have barely any psoriasis plaques left. Nothing else has worked. I have tried multiple creams and tablets that made me sick. Now with Humira, I have no side effects, I am nearly all cleared up, and best of all, the injection is painless."

"After taking Methotrexate for several years with great results until a year or so. Now I've done my starter Humira doses three days ago and believe it or not, I've already seen a slight result... all the redness has subsided. And scaliness has gone away. Here's hoping for the best."

"At first, it gave me a red rash and did not help with my psoriasis. My doctor gave me a cream for the rash, and it went away and said I should keep using it. Several months later, I am as clear as I have been since first getting the medication. Pro tip: get the copay assistance card."

"I have been on Humira for about two years, and it has worked great at clearing up my psoriasis. It cleared up my skin and nails. I had also tried just about every other treatment. I don't like taking medicine in general but decided I needed to do something after suffering for over 25 years. I do often feel tired and have gotten sick more often, and I think it is due to the Humira. I also have two young kids that bring home everything from school, so that probably doesn't help. I weigh the benefits of clear skin vs. the side effects. I have stopped taking it over the summer months when my psoriasis wasn't as bad, and it was about 5 months before it came back. Then I started the injections again. I know you are not supposed to stop and start, but my body was just feeling so fatigued I thought I needed a break. In conclusion, for me, the side effects are real, but I can finally wear shorts and swim with my kids without feeling embarrassed."

"After taking the shots, it was amazing. Six weeks and I was cleared up. I had 75% to 80% coverage. After three months, I quit. It started to come back, so I started again. I feel better. Went to the beach for the first time and pool party in years. I am a 49-year-old man. As far as side effects, we will see. For now, I am happy."

"I'm a 21-year-old female who has been suffering from scalp psoriasis since I was in elementary school. I've tried every topical treatment on the market and cortisone injections before my dermatologist decided to put me on Humira. Everyone fails to mention that this stuff hurts, I have a high pain tolerance, and the five times I've injected myself (with the syringe), I can keep a straight face while I inject it, then when I withdraw, I start crying. I have had minimal results but am definitely seeing improvement. I heard the scalp in particular is hard to treat, so I still have high hopes!"

"I fully believe this is a wonderful drug for psoriasis, Crohn's, and other diseases; however, it isn't helping me! I have had psoriasis for over 10 years. I was prescribed Humira and was so excited that I would finally get this under control. The first two weeks, my psoriasis seemed to be getting a little better. I was very hopeful. Unfortunately, after the first two weeks, my psoriasis got worse! Everything flared up, scales everywhere, and itching like mad. At my 1-month checkup, my doctor told me to continue the medicine and use Enstilar to get it under control. By month 2, I was ready to give up on this medicine. I will be asking my doctor at my appointment to switch me. This is just my story with Humira, but I still feel it is a great medicine for some, just not me. :("

"Psoriasis is a nightmare. Started severely as a teenager (in my thirties now) and could cover up to 30% of my body at certain times of the year. Tried steroid creams, light treatment, methotrexate, dietary changes, everything, with some reasonable results. Have been on Humira now for slightly over 1 year. There is no product in the UK market that even comes close to the results I have achieved with Humira. It has changed my life for the better. Make no mistake, I am normally 98% psoriasis-free, barring slight flare-ups (winter, etc.). My only issues with Humira have been weight gain and the fact that I may have to inject myself for the rest of my life."
