Important warnings
This medicine can cause some serious health issues
Use only as directed.
Tell your doctor if you use other medicines or have other medical conditions or allergies.
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction (hives, difficult breathing, swelling in your face or throat) or a severe skin reaction (fever, sore throat, burning eyes, skin pain, red or purple skin rash with blistering and peeling).
Call your doctor at once if you have:

severe stomach pain, diarrhea that is watery or bloody (even if it occurs months after your last dose).
Common side effects may include:

nausea; or
-
diarrhea.

General adverse events
The most frequently reported adverse reactions were nausea and diarrhea. Limited clinical data indicate that the frequency, type and severity of adverse reactions in children are expected to be the same as in adults.[Ref]
Dermatologic
- Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Rash, urticaria, pruritus
- Postmarketing reports: Severe cutaneous adverse reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), drug reactions with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS), Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN)
Gastrointestinal
- Common (1% to 10%): Nausea, diarrhea
- Frequency not reported: Vomiting, dyspepsia, abdominal pain
- Postmarketing reports: Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea, esophageal ulcer, esophagitis, mouth ulceration
Genitourinary
- Common (1% to 10%): Vulvovaginal candidiasis/mycotic infection, genital pruritus
Hematologic
- Postmarketing reports: Thrombocytopenia
Hepatic
- Postmarketing reports: Abnormal hepatic function
Hypersensitivity
- Postmarketing reports: Anaphylactic reaction/shock, angioedema
Metabolic
- Postmarketing reports: Decreased carnitine
Nervous system
Other
- Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Fatigue
