Using liothyronine together with desipramine can alter the effects of both drugs. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. Contact your doctor if you experience toxicity symptoms such as anxiety, agitation, insomnia, shortness of breath, irregular or fast heartbeat, and lightheadedness or dizziness. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Ask your doctor before using desipramine together with ethanol (alcohol), this can alter the effects of desipramine and cause increased side effects. Call the doctor if you experience uneven heartbeats, extreme drowsiness, confusion, agitation, vomiting, blurred vision, sweating, muscle stiffness, feeling light-headed, and seizures. You should be warned not to exceed recommended dosages, to avoid alcohol, and to avoid activities requiring mental alertness. If your doctor prescribes these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment to safely take this combination. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
liothyronine food

Using multivitamin with minerals together with liothyronine may decrease the effects of liothyronine. You should separate the administration of liothyronine and multivitamin with minerals by at least 4 hours. If your doctor does prescribe these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or special test to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
