Polythiazide / Prazosin Dosage
Applies to the following strengths: 0.5 mg-1 mg; 0.5 mg-2 mg; 0.5 mg-5 mg

Usual Adult Dose for Hypertension
Initial dose: 1 capsule of (polythiazide-prazosin 0.5 mg/1 mg) 2-3 times a day. Determine dosage by individual titration.
Maintenance dose: May increase up to a maximum of 2 capsules of (polythiazide-prazosin 0.5 mg/5 mg) twice a day.
Dose Adjustments
The dose may be titrated as necessary once a week.
Precautions
Thiazide diuretics should be used with caution in patients with severe renal disease and/or hepatic impairment.
Dialysis
Prazosin is not dialyzable because it is protein bound.
